Helpful staff that made our stay smooth and easy. Useful to have a basic kitchen but a bit far from the center and the road is not walkable friendly so will recommend to have a car.

The location of the hotel is really far away from points of interests or restaurants and the photos regarding the hotel here is different from what we see online. The owner is really nice and helpful but could not be found most of the time. Breakfast was great. There's no tables or chairs in the room. A stove is provided but it's not connected to any gas and thus is not working. The shower is either too hot or too cold.

This is a very comfortable guesthouse-style hotel. The front desk staff are very welcoming and down-to-earth. You can order whatever you want in the restaurant and have it cooked on the spot, so you don't have to worry about pre-made meals. There are also Chinese-speaking staff. Those who aren't fluent in English don't need to worry at all. Although it's a little far from the city center, the city center isn't a major concern in Palau, so it's not a big issue. Overall, it's very cost-effective. I highly recommend booking this hotel for independent travelers to Palau. You can also contact the front desk in advance to check out island hopping tour packages.

During the flight, I chose a hotel and the airport transfer was Alpha, which was truly great value for money. But what is most worthy of gratitude is the service attitude of all the hotel staff. A sudden lumbar disc herniation was extremely painful, and the hotel staff were enthusiastic to help. I ran to Palau to help buy the things I needed. I helped buy crutches, painkillers, and the pull-up towels I needed. There was also a service staff who was actually a Filipino physiotherapist who helped with rehabilitation physiotherapy and osteopathy. At the end of the flight, I was driven to the door because I had limited mobility. An extra aunt was specially sent to help. Really thoughtful. After we all left, the hotel management told me via WeChat what anti-slip materials I should use if I was worried about slipping. I was so touched that I will come back to thank all the staff in person. Thanks again 🙏

I recommend Palau accommodations. The staff are all friendly and the rooms are clean. The air conditioning works well. If I go to Palau, I will 100% return!

The space was spacious and the staff was friendly and it was a good stay. I would like to visit again and it would be good for traveling with family. I recommend it.

The room was large, so it was nice to be able to use it spaciously. In addition to the shuttle service from the airport to the hotel, we were also able to ask the hotel staff to shuttle us to downtown Koror.

Although the location is far from the city, the manager Leo and the service staff Josh Sylvie are very nice and enthusiastic. There is also a shared kitchen where you can go to the supermarket to buy things and cook them back. If you need to rent a car or give advice on the itinerary, you can ask Leo!

I visited Palau mid-February and was warmly welcomed by the staff of Shell Villa Apartel. Jacky and May helped me with tour bookings and looked after me like a family member. The atmosphere was friendly whenever you approached them. The resort isn't close to town but staff will happily drive you in so you can try different eateries and join tours or the round island bus trip. Very informative too. Rooms were clean and quiet, the included breakfast was delicious and served with a smile always. Good value and I would gladly stay there again.

Josh and the other staff are very lovely and helpful. While the resort itself is cleaned thoroughly, there was a very significant bedbug infestation there when I arrived. After the third room I was offered (and I found evidence of bed bugs in each), they accommodated me at a different hotel in town and paid the difference. While I very much appreciate that we came to a solution (after I advocated for myself exhausted from and jetlagged from long international travel), I was traumatized for the first half of my holiday. I am writing this review as I don't think it's possible to eradicate the infestation without fumigation of the entire resort with permethryn and replacing all mattresses. Given that there was no obvious shutdown of the resort (I was in Palau for two weeks and drove past it a few times and I noticed new reviews of people staying) I would caution others not to stay there until this is really reliably solved. I wish other travellers had warned me with reviews, but since the staff are so nice I think most people won't mention it, I almost didn't. Also, there can be delays for bug bites to show up and most people stay for a short time only in Palau and given the location, there are also mosquitoes. Once the issue is dealt with it would be a nice place to stay at for the price, if you don't mind that some facilities are outdated and it is quite far out of town without a safe footpath to get there. However, Josh and other staff are willing to help you with transportation into town so that's not a major issue. I wish the owners and the staff all the very best and please deal with the issue to stop the spread. Infestations can happen as it only takes one traveller not to be vigilant with their luggage, but it should not get to a stage like this that multiple rooms in different parts of the resort are affected by what can only be described as a longstanding issue.
