The location of the hotel is really far away from points of interests or restaurants and the photos regarding the hotel here is different from what we see online. The owner is really nice and helpful but could not be found most of the time. Breakfast was great. There's no tables or chairs in the room. A stove is provided but it's not connected to any gas and thus is not working. The shower is either too hot or too cold.

My friend like this hotel, very comfortable.

During the flight, I chose a hotel and the airport transfer was Alpha, which was truly great value for money. But what is most worthy of gratitude is the service attitude of all the hotel staff. A sudden lumbar disc herniation was extremely painful, and the hotel staff were enthusiastic to help. I ran to Palau to help buy the things I needed. I helped buy crutches, painkillers, and the pull-up towels I needed. There was also a service staff who was actually a Filipino physiotherapist who helped with rehabilitation physiotherapy and osteopathy. At the end of the flight, I was driven to the door because I had limited mobility. An extra aunt was specially sent to help. Really thoughtful. After we all left, the hotel management told me via WeChat what anti-slip materials I should use if I was worried about slipping. I was so touched that I will come back to thank all the staff in person. Thanks again 🙏

I recommend Palau accommodations. The staff are all friendly and the rooms are clean. The air conditioning works well. If I go to Palau, I will 100% return!

The space was spacious and the staff was friendly and it was a good stay. I would like to visit again and it would be good for traveling with family. I recommend it.

The room was large, so it was nice to be able to use it spaciously. In addition to the shuttle service from the airport to the hotel, we were also able to ask the hotel staff to shuttle us to downtown Koror.

Although the location is far from the city, the manager Leo and the service staff Josh Sylvie are very nice and enthusiastic. There is also a shared kitchen where you can go to the supermarket to buy things and cook them back. If you need to rent a car or give advice on the itinerary, you can ask Leo!

Josh and the other staff are very lovely and helpful. While the resort itself is cleaned thoroughly, there was a very significant bedbug infestation there when I arrived. After the third room I was offered (and I found evidence of bed bugs in each), they accommodated me at a different hotel in town and paid the difference. While I very much appreciate that we came to a solution (after I advocated for myself exhausted from and jetlagged from long international travel), I was traumatized for the first half of my holiday. I am writing this review as I don't think it's possible to eradicate the infestation without fumigation of the entire resort with permethryn and replacing all mattresses. Given that there was no obvious shutdown of the resort (I was in Palau for two weeks and drove past it a few times and I noticed new reviews of people staying) I would caution others not to stay there until this is really reliably solved. I wish other travellers had warned me with reviews, but since the staff are so nice I think most people won't mention it, I almost didn't. Also, there can be delays for bug bites to show up and most people stay for a short time only in Palau and given the location, there are also mosquitoes. Once the issue is dealt with it would be a nice place to stay at for the price, if you don't mind that some facilities are outdated and it is quite far out of town without a safe footpath to get there. However, Josh and other staff are willing to help you with transportation into town so that's not a major issue. I wish the owners and the staff all the very best and please deal with the issue to stop the spread. Infestations can happen as it only takes one traveller not to be vigilant with their luggage, but it should not get to a stage like this that multiple rooms in different parts of the resort are affected by what can only be described as a longstanding issue.

Highly recommend! Facilities were great and the staff was amazing. They went the extra mile to make sure we had an enjoyable experience by advising us on what to visit, arranging tours and car rentals, etc.. You will enjoy your stay. A warm thank you to all the staff.

We loved staying here. The villa has a shared kitchenet with all the basics you need including microwave, coffee machine, gas hob, fridge freezer, toaster hot / cold water dispenser. The rooms are very spacious with large bathrooms. the space is clean, the beds comfy and the towels fluffy! But what really makes this hotel special are the staff. A guest couldn’t ask for more from Leo and his team. Super friendly and attentive. Josh, was so helpful, always smiling, always checking to see if we were OK. Leo was super helpful, knowledgeable and went out of his way to make sure everything was perfect for us. I had a small medical emergency and I wouldn’t have wanted to be anywhere else, they helped me every step of the way.

Looking for a resort for your wife and family to hang out in the day while you are out diving then this is not the place. Go to Cove. Looking for a resort that has a poolside bar and big western bar /restaurant /lawn /buffet then go to Cove. HOWEVER, if you want a special secret place that is 1/3 the price of Cove and a great place to sleep while you use your hotel arranged $50 /day car rental then stay here! The hotel is local and smaller so it is a great place to sleep at night with good size breakfast and plenty of free breakfast coffee. It is similar to Cruise Control Diving Center, which Leo, Shell Hotel Manager, helped me find and actually drove me to. I wish I could have given him a big tip! CrCont Diving is Japanese tailored, English speaking, Japanese traveler and Western traveler place that is larger than Sams and Fish&Fins, yet not as well know outside the Japanese tourists. It is less than half the price as the others and all the dive places use the same 500 hp boats and go to German Channel, the Big Hole and Blue Corner etc. (The three biggest sites). How did I find out about it? Leo from Shell Hotel personally took me there! Getting back to Shell, it was great. I lived the clean Balinese interior. There was no mold, no bugs on the floor and modern toilet, shower and sink that are even better than my upscale home in the USA. I have not written a review of a destination hotel before. I did this because I owed travelers this inside only special gem of a place that charges so much less and isn’t on the Google searches. I wish they would put this on Google Maps or the Apple Maps that comes with the iPhone. That way more people would know about it. Yes, they rented me a car for $50 per day including insurance. They took me to Cruise Control Diving. I hadn’t heard of them before either. I did put some pictures of Shell on this review. Again, Shell is not the place you will want to hang out at all day. It is a more local hotel that is a great place to lay your head at night. It is priced lower because it is not a resort. If you want to go to Palau and need a super clean and helpful staff, oh yes, did I say 1/3 the price of a resort :) , then this is the place to stay where you won’t feel ripped off. It is like a B&B but your own and not in someone’s house. In it’s category I highly recommend it 10/10. The staff will give you all the inside knowledge of Palau and take you to locals priced places. We visited Palau in August 2023. We stayed in Koror at Shell Villa apartel resort. We definitely recommend this hotel. The rooms are spacious, very clean and equipped with all necessary facilities. Location very good. The transfer from the airport is very short and you can get to the city center on foot. Most importantly, very polite and helpful staff. Open to all guests' needs and requests. If we visit again, we will definitely choose the same hotel.
