Eine Suite gebucht, Schimmel am Fenster hinter dem Schreibtisch, ein mehr als ausbaufähiges Frühstücksbuffet, ein katastrophales Buffet am Abend, lediglich der Azubi zum Abendessen verdient ein Lob, trotzdem er einfach nicht hinterher kam. Er hat es nicht zu verantworten, allein gelassen, aber überaus freundlich und engagiert gab er sein Bestes.

Für einen Kurzurlaub im Winter zum Ski-fahren sehr gut geeignet, da die Piste praktisch vor der Tür liegt, sehr ruhig und erholsam, sehr schöne Aussicht, gute Verpflegungsangebot und sehr angenehmes zuvorkommendes Personal

Nach mehreren Aufenthalten in Oberwiesenthal buchte ich dieses Mal das BEST WESTERN. Es ist ein sehr ruhig gelegenes und gepflegtes Haus, für Gäste ab 14 Jahren. Das Zimmer im 5. Stock war sehr sauber,nur das Bad leider sehr eng. Die Ausstattung mit Wäsche und Assessoires ist gut. Das Personal war stets freundlich und um das Wohl der Gäste bemüht,ein besonderes Lob gebührt der Küche! Das Angebot an Speisen ist sehr gut und vielseitig. Leider befindet sich kein Schwimmbad im Haus, sodaß man nur den Pool im Schwesterhotel "Fichtelberg" nutzen kann.Auch sind aus Energiespargründen nur wenige Saunen , und auf Anmeldung, nutzbar.Leider war an den von mir dort verlebten Wochenende auch keine Wellnessbehandlung möglich (Krankheit der Fachkraft.)Das ist natürlich für ein "Wellnesshotel" seh bedauerlich. Allerdings wurde ein Film gezeigt, wie es in den Ahorn-Hotels ja üblich ist. Trotz der hier angeführten Minuspunkte kann ich das BEST WESTERN empfehlen für Gäste, die ein ausgesprochen ruhiges Haus suchen.i

Wir waren dort im Rahmen der Sachsen Classic 2022. Ein und Auschecken haben gut und professionell funktioniert. Das Personal war freundlich. Die Zimmer und das gesamte Hotel versprühen aber den Charme der 90er und könnten eine Auffrischung sicherlich vertragen. Das Zimmer und das Bad waren ausreichend groß und in einem guten Zustand. Die Ablagen im Bad waren ( wie in den meisten Hotels etwas klein geraten. Das Frühstück war von der Auswahl ok und die angebotenen Produkte schmeckten gut.
