Highness Hotel Kurume

Overall, I was quite satisfied with my three-night stay. Although the room was small, it was well-equipped. My only issue was that on the second night, while showering, I felt a sharp pain in my backside. When I touched it, my skin was both sore and numb, and it took a while to recover. The next day, I saw a red mark the size of a lentil in the mirror. I suspect I was bitten by some kind of bug. I've heard this can sometimes happen in Japanese hotel rooms, which is a bit of a shame! I travel to Japan every year, and this is the first time I've experienced something like this. I hope it's the last! Today, I'm already staying in Tosu...

The location is really good as it is right in front of Kurume Station, making it easy to access from Tenji, Hakata, and the airport. There are also many good restaurants nearby, so it was a great place to rest. The breakfast was simple but satisfactory.

The smell of cigarettes was bothersome. The door doesn't close completely unless you're careful. The lock seemed a little loose and difficult to open. The price was cheap, so that was good.

It was a good hotel in the Kurume area, and for around 500 yen including breakfast, I was satisfied with the bakery-focused butter, jam, drinks, coffee, etc.
