The suite was unbelievably beautiful! However, I don’t think the hotel caters for solo travelers, they seemed odd when I told them that I booked just for myself and often made remarks in Japanese to their colleagues. The hot springs are tattoo friendly which was great! Definitely recommend but not for solo travelers.

Incredibly cool experience! I slept in a traditional recan, wore a yukata and went to hot springs. The hotel is located in a very convenient location in the center of Kyoto. The hotel staff are very kind and always helped me.

Traditional Japanese rooms with Tatmi mattresses. The room was very large with big space and a small indoor porch to sit. It also had floor tables and chairs. It has both inside and outside onsens, 2 for each gender.

The location is excellent convenient. The hot spring is good .

I think it is the best place to get an experience in ryokan and onsen. Everything was clean and comfortable. The only one thing that I was disappointed with is that onsen closes at 9.00 in the morning while checking out is at 10.00.

Stay 1 night. The ryokan is located within less than 10 mins walking distance to the subway. It has a peaceful and calm ambience. Staff was friendly and welcoming when we stepped in. There are 2 wings (North and South). Public bath are located at 2 locations (basement and 2nd floor). Room is spacious in Japanese tatami style. All bed and blanket are keep in cupboard. When you out, they will help you setup the bed. Breakfast was sumptuous and fulfilling too. Overall experience is great!

The overall style is very Japanese. After checking in in the afternoon, I went to the hotel's private bath. There was no one else there, so the place was reserved. The children especially liked it. There are also many small restaurants nearby, which is very good!

The hotel staff at the front desk were proactive and friendly, spoke very good English, and patiently explained the various facilities. We stored our luggage in the morning, and when we checked in in the afternoon, the store had already delivered our luggage to the room. The items in the room are quite tidy and the TATAMI is also in good condition. The room is big enough to accommodate 8 adults. The small bathhouse is half open-air and half indoor. We entered more than an hour before closing and there was almost no one there. As for meals, the hotel provides traditional Japanese meals, and the dishes are different every day. Because there are not many restaurants that open early and they all serve Western breakfasts such as fast food bread, the Japanese breakfast provided by the store is more recommended. For dinner, the ingredients are quite rich and relatively high-end dishes are provided. However, since the restaurant has a fixed meal time (you can return to the hotel before 8 o'clock), and there are many shopping streets and restaurants nearby (Kushu Market), it is difficult to coordinate the itinerary and food, so don't order dinner.

Great location in Rakuchu. The facilities are a little old, but it seems they have been carefully renovated. We made some great memories here.

The hotel is in a very good location, only 10 minutes walk to the subway station and large shopping mall. The facilities are relatively old, but there are three bathing areas, and the open-air one is very good, relatively clean and bright. The staff are very polite.

Beautiful environment, with a special hotel-specific small view, spacious rooms, very friendly service, few people in the hot spring, clean, and a variety of hot springs. Surroundings: Blue Bottle is next to it, and it is a few steps to Conan's tourist attraction Rokkakudo.
