The location is slightly off downtown; if you have a car, it's not a problem. Street parking is fine; you can pay $19 for a night. The flat is huge for two people. The facilities are in good condition. There are two Dyson fans, one in the living room and another in the bedroom. We were here in the summer, but the temperature at night was around 12-14. It's good not to have AC in the room, and the room still feels cool enough with the balcony door and the bottom windows opened in the bedroom and the living room, even without turning on the fans. There are washing machines with a drying function in the room, which are free to use, but you must bring your detergents or buy them at the front desk. I liked the living environment and the fresh air here. As it's off the main road, I enjoyed the silent evening without traffic noise.

Guest UserI was in Victoria for a conference at the Conference Center, and Chateau Victoria's location couldn't have been better! Perfect walking distance with great stops for coffee, lunch, or dinner along the way. The Chateau staff was incredibly friendly and helpful with all questions I had and you HAVE to visit the restaurant, Vista 18. There isn't a bad seat in the house with windows overlooking the town in all directions. My server, Scott, gave a fantastic dinner choice (halibut) which ranks in one of the top 10 meals I've ever had! Excellent wine and cocktail choices as well as desserts - as tasty as they are visually delightful. My room had everything I needed including a Nespresso and a small fridge. I WILL BE BACK! 5 stars.

I’ve always wanted to stay at this iconic hotel. The room was comfy and the staff was friendly. Of course the location is pefect. I had to walk a long way down 3-4 hallways to get to my room which I thought was to get to my lovely “city view” room but no. My “view” was into other rooms.

Velasco-BuurmanThis hotel was perfect for my husband and I. Everywhere was walkable, to the park, Fisherman’s Wharf, to the Parliament and downtown. We enjoyed the quietness of the neighbourhood and the victorian houses. We will definitely consider staying here again!

Great value for price paid. Location is close to most attractions. Also there is a nearby parking lot on Johnson Street where you can park for free from 8pm to 8am. The stay includes breakfast and dinner. Place was clean but rooms are a bit cramped. I made a mistake of not getting earplugs (which are free btw).. it can get very loud at night from nearby homeless or party goers. Overall I would stay there again. Also, first drink at the bar is free!!!

Guest UserThe room was spacious and the service was great! The hotel is in a great location for venturing downtown by foot. We parked in their underground parking while we were there. Even when we checked out, we were allowed to keep our car in the lot until 4pm (but confirm with the front desk just incase).
