"I must admit I hesitated when booking this hotel for my father and me: it is fairly new and there were still only a few reviews online. We were pleasantly surprised by the kindness of the staff and the quality of the accommodation. Our room 1204 was spacious, nicely decorated, and spotless. The bedding was very comfortable, and the bathroom was fully functional. The hotel is ideally located in the El Hussein and Al-Azhar area, just a few meters from Khan el-Khalili and Al-Muizz Street (a true open-air museum). In addition, within a 15–20 minute Uber ride, you can easily reach many other points of interest. And even though the neighborhood is very lively, El Rashedy Hotel is tucked away in a small side street, away from the noise. We had initially planned to stay from November 17 to 22 and then finish our trip at another hotel in Zamalek, but we loved this place so much that we extended our stay until November 26. A big thank you to the entire team—reception, management, and housekeeping—for their warm welcome, availability, and valuable advice."

"Nice 3 star hotel in the city center, the staff said it was renovated a few months ago. The receptionist was super kind and let us check in early and went further to help us get breakfast after a long flight. The style of the room is quite nice and the room ceilings super tall making the room feel more spacious than it actually is. Since it’s in Cairo center, be prepared to hear time to time a car honking. Other than that as I was tired I had a great sleep without too much disturbance from the city noises."

Just one thing was the lack of available stowage in the toilet as others have pointed out. Otherwise a lovely stay and a great hotel!"

"The hostel is a welcome respite from the chaos of Cairo. Note that there are two floors, 1 and 4, but are connected by a vintage elevator as well as a stairwell. Breakfast provided each day was sincerely appreciated and delicious, made fresh for each person. The beds are comfortable and equipped with a small light and a power outlet to charge your devices. There is a common area to hang out with others and meet people. Some of the fittings are broken in the bathrooms but you will get by fine."

"Very good location (downtown), safe and perfect for a first time in town. Mostafa and the whole team are super friendly, reactive and will provide any assistance you may need. (like a reliable pick up very late at night from the airport). Room is clean, true to the pictures, it has everything you expect for a stay, worth the price you pay. it may be a little bit noisy on the street side, but it depends on individual sensitivity (this can also be handled if needed).
