The hotel is located within 5 minutes of Yugawara Station. It is located in a suburban location and is mostly populated by local Japanese tourists. There are foreign employees who speak English at the front desk of the hotel, but since I can speak Japanese, it makes no difference to me. The package includes dinner on the day of check-in and breakfast on the next day. Dinner this time was eaten in the room, and breakfast was eaten on the third floor of the hotel. The meals for both days were very delicious and filling. We also added extra for each meal. One portion of long crab legs, very fresh and sweet. In terms of room configuration, there is a private bath in the room, which is more than enough for two people to soak in the spring water. The only drawback is that the bath has no windows and is not sealed, so mosquitoes and other small insects can fly in. People who are prone to mosquito bites need to be careful. The toilet in the room is separated from wet and dry areas. There is enough space for two people to brush their teeth together. There is a hairdryer and hair straighteners in the toilet, which are gifts for ladies. Overall, it's a very good experience. Don't be put off by the old appearance of the hotel. The interior decoration is very new, and some rooms have only been recently renovated. If you pass near Atami, you can choose to stay in this hotel.

The seaview room could watch the sunrise from the balcony. I turned my alarm just to watch the sun rised from the ocean. The buffet dinner and breakfast was great. Dinner buffet provided Italian wine which was very great. The breakfast we could customize the sashimi rice bowl which was wonderful. Although the dining area was a bit crowded but the space was fine enough.

One stay and two meals are cost-effective. The room is a bit small, but it's just right for two people. Pay attention to the schedule of the shuttle bus 🚌 After watching the fireworks from Atami in the evening, the last bus has passed and it takes about half an hour to walk to the hotel. The hotel entrance is closed at 11:30, so remember not to stay too late.

Amazing
NNaoeyamatoProbably one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in Japan, close to Atami station, and every room in this hotel has the sea view, which is extremely beautiful when it’s sunny. The rooms are spacious and very very clean, the private onsen has private TV for you to relax in the hot bath. They also have public open air onsen on the top floor. Next time I probably will try the room with private onsen on the balcony. The hotel also offers free gym, free minibar and free lounge, love it. And the most importantly, the hotel staff are very helpful and polite. They provided helpful advices on transportation to different sightseeing places and booked free shuttle for my family to Atami station. Will 100% revisit next time I come to Atami.
WWulaitingfanzengThe hotel's facilities are really great. I chose a huge tatami room all to myself, though people from my country might not be used to sleeping on tatami. The only downside to the room was that the air conditioning was a bit noisy, but thankfully there's a door, and closing it helped a lot. Both the room and the restaurant face the sea and the harbor, so the view is absolutely unparalleled. As for the location, it's a bit on the outskirts with no commercial areas nearby; it takes about a 10-minute walk to reach dining and shopping spots. All hotel guests receive a complimentary hot spring ticket. Their hot spring also faces the sea. The infinity hot spring pool is definitely the biggest highlight! The entire hot spring area is very modern and beautifully designed. However, it's spread across 7 floors, and you have to undress upstairs and downstairs, with shoe storage and showering not in the same area, which makes the process a bit confusing and overwhelming.
CCtystal LiTurns out, this hotel is where I stayed on my very first trip to Japan! I didn't realize it when I booked, but it hit me after checking in. What a pleasant surprise and a wonderful coincidence! Soaking in the hot springs right on the ocean's horizon, facing the entire Pacific Ocean, the view was expansive, and my heart felt so free. It was an absolute treat 😎
AAnonymous UserCheck-in was quick and easy, with two staff members who spoke Chinese, so there were no language barrier issues. When checking in, they proactively asked about our preferred dinner time to avoid long waits due to too many guests dining at once. Since our room didn't have a private bathroom, we used the public male and female onsen baths downstairs, which were well-equipped with all the necessary amenities. After dinner, you can reserve the karaoke or mahjong rooms at the front desk in advance and use them at your reserved time. Although the breakfast selection wasn't extensive, it was quite delicious.
GGuest UserSuperb, unbeatable value for money. Definitely one of the most cost-effective hotels in Japan. The only downside is that it's a bit far from Atami Station, but there's a direct bus that stops right outside.
XXiaofei05Location: Not on the main Atami beach, a bit further east. The lobby is on the 6th floor, and getting to the beach requires walking uphill.
Room: Spacious and comfortable, with a slightly obstructed sea view due to a road in front.
Hot Spring: The onsen experience was good, and the facilities were clean. The downside is that the open-air bath (rotenburo) and the main public bath (daikyu-jo) are separate and not directly accessible from one another; reservations are also required in advance. The private baths (kashikiri-furo) were constantly fully booked during Golden Week. I really enjoyed the late-night noodles and the massage chairs, though they were in the same area and the smell was quite strong.
Rryuchi sakamotoThe hotel is located right in front of the sea, with a convenience store nearby and paid parking spaces. The price is very reasonable for the area. The hotel staff is very good. In fact, the highlight of this hotel is their private open-air bath, which is very comfortable. recommend
GGuest UserIt takes only 9 minutes to Atami Station. There are no stairs to go down the mountain. There is a shuttle bus to check out. Guests staying can choose their favorite bathrobe style. Breakfast is a buffet form, dinner is old-fashioned and food set, the taste is quite satisfactory. The hotel has more Japanese guests than foreign guests, and foreign guests may only have 3,4 groups. The rooms are wide and provide tatami service, with a first-class sea view. On the day of the fireworks conference, the rooftop will also be opened for guests to watch, and the rooftop is completely covered very clearly!
ZZuodeqifeijimaibuqichongdianbaoThis is clearly a huge resort hotel from the bubble era, and the price was more than double during the fireworks festival. I can't really give it a good review for that price.
The cleanliness was less than ideal. There was hair on the tatami mats that hadn't been cleaned properly, and the futons in the closets didn't look very clean. I had to go to the front desk to get bedding and make my own bed. Also, their comforters had the inner core pressed onto a sheet (as shown in picture four; the brown part is the inner core), separated by a sheet underneath. This was uncomfortable and very easy for it to fall apart. And if the inner core isn't washed and changed every time, I can't imagine how dirty it would be.
The facilities were very basic, just passable. The bathroom facilities were very old-fashioned. I wouldn't recommend soaking in the onsen (hot spring); it's just a few pools. It's a short walk to the fuua (hot spring bath) area. The shuttle bus was terrible. Theoretically, it's at platform A of Atami Station, but when I arrived at Atami Station ten minutes early, there was no bus and no staff. Other hotels had staff to organize things, but this hotel was left to its own devices. In the end, I had to queue for a taxi myself.
⚠️The hotel's luggage storage only lasts until 11:00 AM on the day of check-out. We bought tickets for the 3:30 PM Sapphire Dancer show, but storing our luggage and browsing around was impossible. In the end, we had to drag our luggage to Fuua and spend four hours there.
The buffet dinner was pretty good, but the buffet breakfast was terrible, especially the hot food – there was so little of it and it was freezing cold by the time we finished.
The service was alright, though; there were Chinese staff and Japanese staff who spoke a little Chinese who tried their best to help.
EeXoxideZNot recommended for a newbie. Check-in procedure was really complicated for foreigners, making a call to the host to get the password of the key box. Without Japan number I contacted the host by e-mail in Japanese instead that took some time. 500 yen onsen fee is compulsory. You need to pay more for a towel or amenities. The room and communal area with a small kitchen was good.
