I had a lovely 1-night stay at Premier Hotel Mojiko. The hotel has a charming atmosphere and a great location near the waterfront, making it perfect for a short visit. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-appointed. The staff were friendly and professional, and the overall experience was relaxing and enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would be happy to stay again.

It's about 15 minutes' walk from JR Mojiko Station, and there are no people or cars on the road after 8pm, and there are no facilities along the way. It's still a bit far, the room is the same across the country, the breakfast is average, there is a Lawson 200 meters to the north, there is a hot spring upstairs, and there are vending machines in the hotel. The breakfast is average, what else do you want for 300-400 yuan, the single room is a bit small, it's hard to open a big suitcase, it's recommended to bring a bed cover

The hotel parking space, is outsourced to park in another place, we arrived at 3:30 pm, saw a parking space but the staff said there was someone parked, just out!
But the outsourced parking space has a time limit, not self-in, in addition to the time clock, if there is an option, the hotel's own parking lot is much more convenient!
Every time there is no parking space, but the hotel hot spring is on the 10th floor, you can see the sea view, is my most reminiscent! Guests are not crowded, very comfortable, everyone can enjoy quietly!

No counter check-in is a bit difficult for foreigners. The first level is the gate number, and the reservation number is completely unavailable, resulting in inability to enter. Fortunately, I have a credit for buying SKYPE in advance. I can call the local customer service in Japan to enter the lobby smoothly.
The second level is to enter the check-in information on the screen, and the ghost can not stay in the wall. It turned out that in addition to the amount that has been swiped, you have to swipe the card to pay the foreigner's accommodation consumption tax of about 1,000 yen on the spot to check in.
Then enter the information of the occupants one by one (scan the passport), and then use the counter screen to video customer service to apply for the room number and password to be successful (you need to talk in English if you don't understand Japanese).
Finally, remember the gate number, otherwise you will not be able to enter.
Then Japanese locals will also live in the housing, they stay fast and convenient, bitter foreigners have to be psychologically prepared.

Location is convenient, 5-minute walk from JR Shimonoseki Station - through the footbridge or the underpass (footbridge recommended if you are carrying with you large pieces of luggage as elevators are available). Room setting is great - I especially liked the couch area. Cleanliness was acceptable, but could have been even better. Coin laundry machines at the hotel are among the best I've tried - the passcode lock feature of the machines prevents your clothing items from being mistakenly taken by others.

This hotel is super convenient, right near the JR station. It's even better if you're attending an event at the West Japan General Exhibition Center next door, as you can see the venue from the hotel and it's just a 10-minute walk via the sky bridge. The front desk staff were incredibly kind and helpful. The room was very quiet and clean. If I come back to Kokura, I'll definitely stay here again.

In conclusion, it was the best accommodation for this trip, but there were a few issues.
It clearly says that there is a luggage storage service in the accommodation service details, but when I arrived, it was unmanned and I couldn't receive any service, so I walked around for almost 30 minutes, went back to the JR station, stored my luggage for 700 yen, and started my trip. Something happened that didn't exist
Also, there was an issue with the door lock not working in my room. To resolve this, I was able to resolve the issue within an hour by talking to the manager (the door did not close tightly, so I had to push it with force)
The room condition was excellent and everything in the bathroom and toilet was good. There were some inconveniences, but I spoke to the master and he said he would fix it, so I think it will be a better hotel.

I went to Shimonoseki and Mojiko with my friends. This accommodation is about a 10-15 minute walk from Mojiko Station, so you may need some patience to get there if you have luggage or in rainy weather. I had to enter a password at the entrance, but it didn't open with any number I received from Trip.com. Luckily, someone in charge was passing by and saw me, so I was able to get help, but I also had trouble checking in, so I was able to check in through video connection using the check-in tablet. I mentioned the difficulties earlier, but once I entered the room, I was very satisfied. The room was relatively larger and neater than other places, and the toilet and shower room were separated, and there was a microwave and induction cooker so you could do simple cooking. Please note that induction cookers have weak heating power, so it's best not to cook meat or anything like that. The TV is large and you can use YouTube, Netflix, etc. It’s nice to have a ‘Halloday’ hypermarket near the accommodation. Overall, aside from the difficulty of getting into the room, it was a very satisfactory accommodation.

The staff were very friendly and clean. However, the wood creaked a lot every time I walked, and the doorknob lock didn't work properly, which was a problem. Instead of locking the inside of the room with a key, it would have been better if they had installed a latch or hinge, like the bathroom. It was so uncomfortable that I kept leaving it open. The soundproofing is practically nonexistent, but thankfully, the next room was quiet the first night, so I slept well. But the second night, the people next door were so noisy that even at midnight, and 1 a.m., they kept making noise. I wore noise-canceling earphones, but I couldn't sleep, and I was so upset. It's important to find a good roommate.
I arrived late the first night, and they waited for me even after check-in time. Arriving at night, the dark, old wooden house was unfamiliar, so it was a bit scary. The back of the bed was also scary when I lay down... but it was fine the next morning. The shared bathroom is a bit of an inconvenience, and it's also a bit far from Kokura. Still, I recommend it for a unique experience and a retro vibe.

Nice self-check in hotel; door code is sent on day of check in. Hotel was nice, comfortable bed with free parking for 3 cars upfront. I had to chase for the door code as I didn’t want to arrive when it’s dark and struggle with the entry. It was sent to me with the help of Trip customer support. There is lift so no problem with my heavy luggage. Unlike other Grand Base hotels, this one has no laundry, no washing machine, no cooking stove, no utensils, just one kettle, 4 cups, one microwave and one fridge. Carpet had visible stains so not clean.

Amazing
YYanyu11The location is super convenient, just 400 meters from the train station. There are plenty of food and drink options nearby, and Kokura Castle is less than a 10-minute walk away. It's also much more affordable than Fukuoka, so staying in Kokura offers great value for money.
AAhmad MostafaReception at 4 pm was slow and it was necessary for several guests to wait for the two reception people even though they had three other people greeting guests.
The nearby Shinkansen station provides easy access to the hotel which is an easy 5-10 minutes walk.
Wifi worked well and the air conditioning was good especially in the cold weather. Rooms are a good size and in good condition with above average views.
House keeping was also good, though guests need to request daily services by placing a card on the room door otherwise daily service is not provided.
The four lifts provided an efficient service. I didn’t have breakfast on this occasion but have had it in the past and it’s of a good quality and high standard. The staff are lovely and caring.
The location is good being near the main Shinkansen station. Beyond the station there are shopping centres and street malls with a variety of restaurants and shops to meet most people’s needs.
There are also many nearby restaurants that should suit most people’s cuisine, budget and type of food.
Buses and subway stations are nearby and provide access to various parts of the city. There are several attractions within 30-60 minutes of the hotel such as temples and museums.
Overall a pleasant stay and happy to visit again.
SShin-Woei FannThis hotel locates near by the Kokura train station makes it one of the most convenient hotel I have ever lived.
Unfortunately I could only reserve a smoking room, but the smell was not too strong to clear out by some splash. I would suggest the manager to inform smoking customers not to smoke in the bathroom, in order to avoid the smoke on the shower curtain.
And the services are pretty good provided by kind stuff with multiple language skills. There is even a snack and drink corner 24 hours on first floor.
The only deficit of this hotel might be the sound proof of the top floor, 6th floor I lived. The sound could not penetrate through rooms, but there were multiple huge machines on the top of the room running through day and night and generated big noises. During the last night I lived, one of the noises was similar with the sound of unlocking the door, so I couldn' t sleep well because I felt like somebody was unlocking the door.
某某仁Friend 史I stayed there on the 11th floor for two days, from Thursday to Saturday. Noise wasn't a problem at all. Overall, the hotel was okay, except for a dirty coverlet with a blood stain and some dirt. I asked the front desk to help with it, and they fixed the issue. The staff were friendly and helpful.
Breakfast and dinner were included for free, but I didn't eat there, so I can't comment on the food. The dining area was clean and tidy. In the room, the bed was a good size—not small—and there was a standard desk and chair, which worked well for me. Considering the price and the location—just a 5-10 minute walk to the train station—the hotel was pretty decent.
MMarie MiyaneThe hotel is also conveniently located in Kokura, making it easy to explore nearby spots. The hotel has a classic Japanese-style atmosphere with a beautiful traditional garden, koi pond, and stone pathways that instantly give you a calm, peaceful feeling
MMr Adam PorterWe were visiting to watch the rugby at the Mikuni World Stadium and wanted somewhere to stay near by. This place was an absolute gem, incredible room, huge jet bath with TV, breakfast served in bed and the best part was the view from the balcony included the Mikuni World Stadium. Staff were amazing, they didn’t speak English but were very quick to assist and help. They received post for me before my arrival which they gave to me as soon as I arrived, there was a private lounge area to rest and refresh when we arrived too early to check in. I would certainly revisit, especially if you’re headed to the stadium. I wish I’d taken more photos of the amazing room!
GGuest UserFukuoka was too expensive for a weekend trip, so we booked in Kokura instead. It's a self-service apartment. Pre-registering online definitely saved a lot of time during check-in. The room wasn't particularly clean. Maybe it's not having white walls, but the interior colors felt a bit depressing. There were water stains on the coffee table. It was fine for a layover stay, I guess. Overall, the price was the main selling point.
TThomas_ZacThe Hotel is located very close to the Wakamatsu Railway station. The area around the hotel is a very quiet area with few shops around. I arrived the hotel at around 2200 and by then all the shops around was closed. I managed to find a family mart near the station and for dinner i went to Sukiya which I understand is open till 3 AM. The staff was very courteous and the checking in process was seamless. The rooms were small and very similar to other Japanese hotel rooms. The bedding was clean and neat and the linens were nicely tucked in. Since the air conditioning units remote was in Japanese language , had bit of a trouble in getting the AC started. However this was immediately resolved by the staff at the front desk and the AC cooling was very good. The toilet was small and was similar to other Japanese hotels. The supplies in the toilet was nice and adequate.
The Morning breakfast spread was nice with western and Japanese cuisine and the food quality and taste was very good. I will definitely recommend Route Inn to all business travelers travelling to Wakamatsu / Hibiki Nada Area
TTommyPoComplete facilities, free parking, free ramen from 9pm to 11pm, beautiful sea view room overlooking the sea, outdoor hot spring overlooking the sea is very comfortable, I will stay here again next time
GGuest UserLocation is walkable from the JR station, surrounding malls and tourist spots, while not being in the centre of it all, making it a quiet and comfortable stay. There are many buses nearby so taking the bus instead of train was a good option to have. Walking distance can also be reduced sometimes via taking the bus. At the same time, the airport bus is at the JR station, so it was very convenient. The hotel while a little dated, is well maintained with floors segregated by non-smoking and smoking. Luggage deposit before and after is also available and the staff are very helpful with that. The bedside console comes with an alarm clock and even a music player where ambience music can be played - it is a very nice touch to have!!
