HHMTJI use this hotel frequently. It's a little far from the city center, but the climate and distance around here are hard to beat, so it's a great hotel in that location. I'm very satisfied with my stay.

PPY WONG The TravellerThe surroundings are exceptionally quiet, making it ideal for relaxation or even a bit of meditation. It may not be the best choice for families with children, as there are very limited amenities catered for them.
Service, however, was outstanding. The staff went above and beyond — when my rental car had a brake light issue, they noticed it before I did, stepped in to assist, contacted the rental company, and ensured it was resolved the very next morning. That level of attentiveness is rare.
Location-wise, it is quite remote. There’s little within walking distance, so getting around or finding food requires some planning. But if you’re here for peace and an onsen experience, that quiet isolation becomes part of the appeal.
A memorable stay overall, especially for those seeking calm, comfort, and genuine hospitality.

GGuest UserThe owners were very genuine and kind. Although they could not speak English, they really made sure we had everything we needed. Very traditional Japanese ryokan experience. The place is a little old but super clean and cute. Beautiful mountainview from the room. Would really recommend! Arigato gozaimasu.

Mmiya079156The room was clean and I was satisfied. The air conditioning worked well. Parking was limited, so I had trouble finding a place to park, but the staff were kind enough to help me out by allowing me to park nearby, which was very helpful.
It was unfortunate that breakfast service was currently suspended, but I would like to use it again next time.

GGuest UserWe stayed here for 2 comfortable nights. Their staffs service are awesome, friendly and helpful. Especially Ms Yumiko service is always smiling, approachable, helpful and kind, who served us 2 nights for our meals with compassion. Room was comfortable with delicious authentic Japanese meals send our room. Onsen hot bath was clean with nice mountain view. Highly recommended to stay in this Onsen Inn. Very quiet, peaceful and calm place to rest 👍🏻

GGuest UserI stayed at this hot spring hotel before going on the Oze trekking tour.
The fact that there is a shuttle bus from Ueno to Jomo-Kogen Station at 2pm when taking the Shinkansen is a big plus (lol).
I had to rush in the morning to get to Oze, but breakfast was scheduled for 7:30am.
The service of moving it up to 7am was fantastic.
I'd definitely like to use it again next time.
