I stayed at this place for one day in the spring. It’s a very nice hanok and a great opportunity to experience living in a traditional hanok (you could heard the next room snoring sound ㅋㅋㅋ).
The staff were kind, although not especially welcoming—possibly because they are older and their English is limited. However, when I returned to pick up something I had forgotten, they gave it back to me immediately.
The breakfast is simple, with cup noodles, bread, cereal with milk, juice, and instant coffee, so don’t expect too much.
I forgot to take the picture but 5m from the stay place you could find a beautiful coffee name Doux foret coffee and bakery (must-try).

Nice service,
I was able to drop the luggage before check-in so I could walk around without having to bring out my luggage (they have a dedicated locker room).
The facilities was nice, the toilet was clean, and decent room.
Location-wise, it's close to both bus terminals (고속, 시외) and also close to the downtown main street.
Overall, I had a nice stay experience.
Best location for visiting Cheomseongdae, Donggung Palace and Wolji Pond, and Woljeonggyo Bridge. I stayed here with my daughter — the room was quite small for two adults, but it’s a good place for a one-night stay. The room was cozy and warm.

It appears to be a family-run business.
The customer service is excellent. The daughter likely studied abroad in an English-speaking country and speaks beautiful English.
If you install the What's Up app, you can communicate with her instantly and she will respond to various requests, such as if your room won't unlock or calling a taxi.
The room is a traditional Korean house with an ondol heating system, which is very comfortable in the cold season. Breakfast is simple.
However, it is a short distance from restaurants and convenience stores, so we recommend doing some shopping after touring the tourist attractions.

Location was good. Close to central bus station, the tombs, 7 eleven next door. Stored luggage there before and after our stay. Staff was friendly and helpful..
No elevator but has a dumb waiter for luggage. 10,000 for laundry.
Breakfast was just toast butter and jam. One morning there wasn't any toast and I couldn’t find staff to refill.
For me the location was the most important thing. So I was happy.

The hotel environment is not as good as the photos, it is quite unique but not the Hanok Village we imagined. After walking in the city, I saw other hotels, which was more in line with expectations.
The sound insulation is relatively poor, I wake up many times at night, and I hear the speech next door very clearly.
It's not uncomfortable to lie on the ground and sleep.
Luggage can be stored but will be taken away at 5pm at the latest.
The hotel is a couple operating, English is not good, it is difficult to communicate, everyone is cautious.
When I booked, I said that there was breakfast. I sent an email and asked. They told me that there was a public area. They didn't say how to use breakfast and what time. Later, they confronted them and they said that all messages were sent to me/written in the room. The truth is no, they forgot, and they didn't answer in time. The attitude is not good. . . It is recommended to find another home for this price.

Amazing
SstanloonaAn amazing once-in-a-lifetime hanok experience!! The place was absolutely beautiful, and our host was the kindest person ever. Their service was amazing, even providing us with a bottle of wine, and free breakfast even though it originally didn’t come with our booking. We visited Gyeongju for 3 nights during the windy winter of February, so some of the pros & cons may not be applicable for other seasons:
Pros:
- Amazing location: right in the heart of Gyeongju’s trendy hanok district, it is a few minutes walk from Hwangnidan-Gil street, Cheonmachong etc. Despite this district being absolutely PACKED in the weekend, our hanok was tucked in a more cozy, quiet corner, above a restaurant. It was then really quiet in our hanok, and we surprisingly didn’t have any problem of smells from the restaurant downstairs coming up into our rooms.
- Clean aesthetic that perfectly balances the vibes of a traditional hanok, and a modern hotel. Suitable for those travelling with older families, for example, who may not be able to sleep comfortably on hard floors. The interior designer for this hanok deserves a raise
- Floor heating was done well, and we didn’t feel cold at all despite the winds at night during our winter stay
- gigantic TV
- host was very kind and easy to communicate with via WhatsApp!
- appreciated that the toilet and shower were very clean and modern as well!
Cons:
- there weren’t any wardrobes, and not many hangers were provided to hang your clothes. It’s only a minor issue, since we had more coats for our winter wear. However, since most people are booking this hanok for short stays, it shouldnt be a big issue either
- as we came here via car at night, the parking lot assigned to us was a ~2min walk away from the actual hanok, so it was a bit confusing to locate the parking lot and hanok in the dark at first.
- at night, the winds in the winter get quite strong, and so like any wooden house - there will naturally be quite a bit of sound like the wooden door shaking, sound of wind etc. Coming from the city, we were a bit scared and thought there were intruders at first LOL. This isn’t a big problem (especially during less windy seasons), but I think it’s just worth keeping in mind, especially if you are very sensitive to sounds when sleeping.
If these cons aren’t applicable or big issues for you, then yes I would more than recommend this hanok stay!!! It’s a rare experience, and hence worth the money imho!
YYumi SugThis was an amazing hotel – so clean and beautiful! They even had charging cables for different phones, which shows great attention to detail. The front desk staff were super friendly and helpful, explaining everything clearly in English. The complimentary breakfast was delicious too. They even have postcards and stamps at the entrance, and you can send postcards to friends right from the hotel. I really appreciated all the thoughtful touches. Highly recommend!
HHoratiu HerdesAlthough I booked only a bed, I was given an upgrade to a private room with 2 beds. The hostel is very clean and quiet. Breakfast was a nice touch. Plenty of other international travelers you can connect with. Very good wifi, perfect for remote work. The hostel is also close to all the major attractions of Gyeongju (walking distance), and for the other further ones, the bus station is close too.
UurimurimThis hotel offers the best value for money. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful, and it was great that they provided free bicycle and storage box rentals.
Given its location, the room felt a bit smaller than it appeared in the photos, but it was perfectly comfortable for a stay.
And the biggest highlight of this hotel was definitely the breakfast. There was a good variety of food, and the lounge atmosphere was very relaxing.
It seems like a great place to visit with family or friends.
GGuest UserThe hotel staff are v friendly and helpful. The breakfast options are superb. Hotel is also v spacious and my room view is amazing. It's on 10min walk to gyeongju world.
I will definitely come back again if I can.
DDaniel069Very nice people. Room was ready early, it was clean, well equipped and the area was super close to the temple complex. Walking distance. Food options also nearby. However there is no lift, so request low room if you have heavy bags, very short walk to temple area where you can take some great photos
WWBeautiful chalet-style place for staying! The bed is very comfortable. The room is clean and organised. A few chairs and a table to do work or eat. Very spacious area for watching tv. There’s a bbq pit outside each unit. The host brought fresh towels for my second night, thank you! I love the beautiful decoration and swimming pool downstairs, even though it’s cold at night. It has a charming atmosphere, with an outdoor screen, swings and nice music. Sound insulation is ok, although you can hear the frogs croak outside from the bathroom.
The place is about 20 mins’ walk from the bus stop with restaurants, so wear comfortable walking shoes. Theres a emart24 about 10 minutes away. There’s a restaurant next door that sells fried chicken till 11pm. It’s a must-try! Host and his wife are extremely helpful people. Thank you for your warm hospitality!
Highly recommended for people who want privacy and lots of space to hang out.
GGuest UserLovely hanok in a great location. Had under floor heating which was really nice. The rooms are kitted out with a tv, mirror, kettle, tea and mini fridge. Staff were really nice and helpful. The hanok also has free hanbok rentals if you want to take pictures but the selection is quite small and some of the hanboks are ripped/old. The walls are slightly thin so can hear your neighbours but luckily I was with family so I just told them to be quiet 😂. The hanok is really beautiful and right next to a bustling street and ample restaurants. Would definitely come back again and stay for longer.
GGuest UserExcellent Stay – Highly Recommended!
I recently had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful hotel, and I can confidently say that it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming, friendly, and attentive, making me feel right at home. The check-in process was smooth and efficient, and I truly appreciated the warm hospitality.
The room was spotless, spacious, and beautifully designed, with all the amenities one could ask for. The bed was extremely comfortable, ensuring a great night’s sleep, and the housekeeping team did a fantastic job keeping everything clean and fresh throughout my stay. The view from my room was breathtaking, adding to the overall experience.
One of the highlights of my stay was the hotel’s facilities. The pool area was well-maintained and perfect for relaxation, while the fitness center had everything needed for a good workout. The on-site restaurant served delicious food with a great variety of options, and the breakfast buffet was simply outstanding – fresh, diverse, and of high quality.
The location of the hotel was also a huge plus. It was conveniently situated near major attractions, shops, and public transportation, making it easy to explore the city. Despite being in a central location, the hotel itself was quiet and peaceful, providing a perfect balance between accessibility and relaxation.
What truly sets this hotel apart is the exceptional service. Every staff member went above and beyond to ensure guests had a comfortable and enjoyable experience. Their professionalism, kindness, and attention to detail made my stay truly memorable.
I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious, comfortable, and well-managed place to stay. I will definitely be returning on my next visit! Thank you to the entire team for making my trip so special.
PPinky DerpsMy review would've been a lot better if there wasn't a promised breakfast. (A box with cup noodles on the floor under the microwave, in the reception area)
Most of what made my stay uncomfortable were other guests, they made a mess of the kitchen and during the weekend I actually felt unsafe with the yelling, banging on walls and running through the hallway.
The room was clean and comfortable with a large bathroom. Towels were fluffy and bedding clean.
The coffee machine was empty but immediately refilled when I mentioned it. The cleaning staff did amazing cleaning up the mess in the kitchen every time!
Usually there was no staff at the front desk so some instructions on ”breakfast” and where to find staff (in the office next to the elevator) would've been nice, as well as where to find certain shared areas.
