"Conveniently placed hotel in the city centre within walking distance of many tourist attractions. Comfortable room, friendly staff, reasonable gym and a nice breakfast."
"Large comfortable room with a beautiful view over the harbour. The staff were lovely, and the location of the hotel is close to Te Papa Museum and Courtenay Place."
GGuest UserExcellent location. Near to shopping district, short walk to harbourside. Breakfast spread is good. Check-in counter staff Dawson deserves a mention. We booked room with breakfast but their system shows room room. He got it sorted out promptly. Gym is a disappointment though. The main gym machine is broken. Can only work with free weights and treadmill
GGuest UserGreat view of the Queen's wharf/ waterfront and good amenities (ie sauna room, kitchenette, ironing facility). Only gripe that I have would be that the hangers are affixed to the wardrobe and also the lack of bathroom/bedroom slippers)
DDan WuangI stayed in a basic room with shared bathroom. The hotel has an old style elevator which is cool. The room comes w a heater and a face basin with a mirror which is too high unless you are 1.9m to 2m tall. Lol. A fridge, a kettle , coffee, tea , cocoa powder and milk for coffee are provided. It also provide a bath soap and towel. The hotel entrance are locked after 5pm or 6pm for the safety of the hotel guests as there are no receptionist after 22:00hours. Cons :- The shower area light auto switched off 3-5mins thus it’s scary when u are still showering , the whole place turned dark. Both the shower cubicle and the common area in the shower area are scary when they are in total darkness. This is negative as not the right way to save electricity I guess and risk falls as well. U can parked your luggage after you checkout for free as well. Lastly the hotel is 20min walk from the Railway station or NZD11 on Uber. And walking distance to the Pier for some high end dining as well as nice eateries within the city centre.
SShiela EsmoladaI have enjoyed my stay in Richmond Hotel. The staff is very accomodating. I have arrived past the check-in period and still managed to check-in through the help of Dinah😊, even left some fresh milk in the fridge. I really appreciate it coz I was so hungry and tired after a long bus journey😊. I also loved the bed, it aids with my sore body after a 12hr bus journey.
