It was a great hotel. Unfortunately the ferry doesn't work. Doesn't run on the weekends so we use public transport by the bus. Overall good. Stay in Gothenburg and we'll definitely be returning. The image is from The view outside my window. Additionally, the breakfast was fantastic with multiple different choices to include fruits, pancakes, three types of eggs, variety of different breads, etc.

Overall, very pleased with the services provided by the wonderful set of crew from front desk to housekeeping and restaurant service crew. Good breakfast and gym. However as there are construction around the hotel vicinity, the room and common area are a bit dusty. One more important note as due to global warming, the rooms are a bit stuffy and poorly ventilated during summer. Windows cannot be opened. It would be nice that the aircon mode is in service during this period

Navigating Liseberg with our energetic little ones was a whirlwind of joy and the hotel was the secret weapon for making it truly seamless. Imagine a sanctuary literally steps from the park gates! This prime location meant we could easily whisk our pint-sized explorers back for a crucial mid-day recharge. Those fantastic kid-focused facilities were a lifesaver – perfect for a quiet break, a quick nap or just decompressing before diving back into the fun. And the perks didn't stop there: we absolutely loved the vibrant on-site theater, the cozy café perfect for a sweet treat and a breakfast spread that perfectly fueled our daily escapades.

The Hotel location is very good. Walkable to almost all of attractions. The hotel staffs are helpful. The room is spacious enough with the needed amenities. The atmosphere of the bar on the lobby floor is nice.

Amazing location and such a nice room! Mesmerised by the lavish set up, every corner was insta-ready. The breakfast location was even more beautiful and spread was superb too! Definitely staying here again when I’m back in Gothenburg!

Very comfortable and exquisite, with very friendly staff. To me, it did not feel worn-out at all; instead, I sensed a touch of classical beauty.

PatrickEOverall, this hotel was a superb experience. We arrived around 18.00 in the evening after a long drive. Unfortunately some technical error in their system required us to wait in the lobby for about 30min, but we were swiftly compensated in the form of free parking and a complimentary prosecco in the room. The room itself was beautiful. Amazing view, very comfortable bed and TV placement, a very long bathtub. The only mild annoyance was that the bathroom light was finicky to turn on and adjust. The spa is a must-experience, especially after a long drive from one side of Sweden to the other. It was excellent; nothing to complain about. The best thing about Upper House however, is the breakfast. I have never had a better breakfast experience anywhere else in the world. I would gladly stay again just to eat their breakfast menu. Very excellent stay, great service and great food. A solid 9.5/10 experience.

Anonymous UserBreakfast: buffet style, good. Wish there were more kinds of fruit available. Room: size is ok for 1 person, the bed is quite big. Hair dryer, hangers provided. No kettles can be borrowed and you can only get hot water at the front desk. Staff: i arrived a bit early but the staff let me check in early. nice and helpful Others: there’s a gym, sauna, outdoor jacuzzi too. Close to a bus stop.
