Superb stay at the Aphrodite and decided to return in 2024 for two weeks rather than 11 nights. Travelled with two boys now 9 and 5 and they loved it too. Yes it's secluded and either an uphill walk (I did it once) into Molyvos or a taxi (6euro e/w). The seclusion makes the hotel for us, never busy, always lots of beds available an no rush with people putting out towels for their favourite spot. The Taverna is great and we used it most days for lunch and the odd evening meal when we had late days by the pool. Rented a car which reception sorted and drove down to Erresos for the day and also used it for a few days at the sandy beach in Petra which was great. The staff are fantastic and the rooms very comfy. Breakfast is excellent. We went to Molyvos most evenings and were surprised how much choice was there as expected just a small handful of places to eat. There's plenty of different restaurants in the Port and up in the old town where the views are spectacular. Also a couple of livelier places if that's your thing. Molyvos has retained its Greek authenticity and we have recommended it to lots of people and can't wait to return.

Once again a really good holiday at the Aphrodite. The hotel is perfect, lovely comfortable rooms. Nice beds with sheets changed regularly. Free aircon, safe and coffee machines. Cleaners very friendly and helpful. Always a helpful member of staff on reception. Brilliant breakfasts, the best we have ever had in Greece. Relaxing chairs both inside and out. Plus a really good Taverna. No curtesy bus but a walk up the hill brings you out onto the castle road. This year a taxi was €6.

This hotel is amazing, it’s in a beautiful location and is extremely clean. Everyone is so friendly and the breakfast selection is amazing. The rooms are spotlessly clean and fresh towels everyday. The hotel gardens and pool area are again spotlessly clean and well kept and the pool bar is great for food and drinks. It’s been a lovely stay and I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Good hotel, clean, comfy, great position next to Molyvos. Swimming pool was mayhem as too many children of outside visitors were allowed to use the pool unsupervised. A shame as the taverna beside the pool really had some very good food but combining the two we found an issue. Car hire a must. Walk into town steep uphill - you won't do it more than once, trust me. Adequate breakfast for this level of hotel, staff friendly and courteous.

Every year I come to this hotel and this year in particular I got treated like a queen by staying in their luxurious superior double room. The room includes a big comfy double bed, a desk (perfect to work from), spacious living room and bathroom and lovely balcony overlooking olive trees. The room also includes a coffee maker with capsules and a tea maker with teas. The hotel is always at his best: - the best breakfast I had in Greece (so many types of sweet and savory fresh pastries and jams) that you can have in their beautiful terrace overlooking the garden. The breakfast includes a great variety of choice including usually two types of eggs (sunny side up and scrambled), sausages, bacon, mushrooms, vegetables and fruits. They have gluten free options and vegan options (including plant milk) - big pool overlooking the Taverna and the sea (perfect because sheltered from the wind if it's a windy day) - fantastic taverna with great food selection and sea view, so well known that locals come to eat there too. Trust vassilis advice for the cocktails, he knows what he's doing - beautiful rocky sea which is a perfect snorkelling spot: I regularly see octopuses and colourful fishes, coral and algae just 2-3 metres from the coast! The hotel is a 15-20 minutes enjoyable walk from the town: first you walk seeing the sunset and the sea, then the illuminated castle and finally pass by the alonia forest. Very nice. If you don't like walking, you can rent a scooter or a car at very cheap prices compared with the rest of Greece or my natal Italy.

First time to Lesbos, this hotel was faultless from the moment of arrival to leaving was a fantastic experience, a lovely welcome from the lady on reception on arrival, she explained everything in detail , where to find things and about the area in general, this is a family owned hotel, all the staff, including the cleaners were a real pleasure to talk too, all with a smile and kalimera , we were on half board , breakfast taken in the hotel all other meals taken in the taverna overlooking the beach, the food was excellent, the Greek yoghurt was too die for, the meals in the taverna were all local greek fare, we are not big eaters the potions are enormous, you won't go hungry here, it's a pebbly rocky beach with clear blue sea and really comfortable sunloungers complete with mattresses on the beach and around the stylish pool, the hotel has its own allotments with fresh vegetable been grown, everything is very clean ,we had a superior Seaview room with Air conditioning which worked superb, 32 inch smart TV, lovely bathroom with a really powerful rainforest shower , hot water always on tap and temperature never changed, this hotel has many repeat bookings year in year out , we loved it and hopefully we will be back , lesbos a really chilled laid back island, give it a try, you will love it

Just returned from a 2 week holiday to this beautiful place. First time in Lesvos but won't be the last! Aphrodite hotel is a great place to stay, rooms lovely & clean, breakfast is great with so much choice & lots of homemade choices. The pool is large & clean, the gardens are well kept & there is even a lovely taverna for lunch or dinner. All the staff are very friendly & work extremely hard to keep this beautiful hotel's high standard. The only negative is that it is a good 25 minute walk into Molyvos & 35 minutes to the harbour, some of which is up hill! A taxi into town is approx 6 euros. Molyvos town & harbour is stunning with lots of gorgeous restaurants. No real beach as such but there's a much bigger stony beach at nearby Petra. Overall a fab holiday and would love to return.
