Novotel Liverpool Paddington Village

we came back from an event approx midnight. asked for 2 glasses of red wine at the bar. staff member offered us a number of bottles . we picked one, she opened it. then the duty manager turned up and said that this wine wasn’t available by the glass only by the bottle. ( which was £55) we explained that we were offered this option by the bar staff but he still said no. bar staff then had to put the cork back in the bottle. we asked how they could do that when it could only bought by the bottle and no customer would buy a bottle of wine that had already been opened. no change. out of courtesy to the bar staff we agreed to pick another red wine. turns out they only had one glass left of that one and no spares . therefore we ended up with our 3rd choice option. this all took 45mns from order to serve. some of the worst hotel service we have ever had.

The people were very nice and the room was super nice although it was a little dusty and the carpet in front of the bathroom was damp

Great location. Across road from side of Lime St Station beside the Lantern. Handy for walking to the many attractions including The Cavern & Christmas Market. We were in Premier Plus room so on 2nd floor. Very quiet, clean, warm & comfortable. We had a Meal Deal which was great value. 2 course meal excellent. Mixed grill kept my husband quiet for rest of evening. (There are plenty restaurants/eateries all around if you prefer to go out). Good night’s sleep. Breakfast also good value. Staff all friendly & helpful.

Beautiful apartment with two bedrooms Pros Cheap cost City centre Close to car parks and transport links Toiletries and cleaning products provided Great facilities in apartment ( washer, fridge etc) Cons It’s an old building with single glazing so there’s some street noise ( the company has other apartments not far away in quieter locations ) The second ‘bedroom is only partitioned off from the living area so it’s unusable if the person/people in there are still asleep I have to say some of the reviews for this place made me worry if booking this was a good choice or not. But it was only for one night so what was the. Worst that could happen The apartment is beautifully furnished and the linen was clean and soft Obviously these are let all the time so there’s some general wear and tear and some of the dining chairs are a bit stained but I get that they don’t get much opportunity to deep clean However. The beds were comfy. It had everything you need for a stay away. Cups plates etc. little toiletries in the bathroom ( maybe a mini soap for the sink wouldn’t go amiss guys ). Washing up stuff and a washing machine are included if you need them The apartment was amazingly spacious It was just a friend and I but we opted for two rooms as I’m an early riser and she isn’t. Plus I snore - so I’ve saved her having to listen to me all night . The communication from the castle collection was great from the get go , the staff we met in the building were very friendly and it was nice to find somewhere that didn’t take hen/stag parties to help keep noise down If you’re wanting somewhere affordable that’s not a premier inn etc. in the city centre. Comfortable and clean then I highly recommend. We’ll definitely be using these again if we return to Liverpool

Disaster. Rooms were far from clean with very few items stocked. No mugs at all. All surfaces were dirty. Windows/blinds didn’t work and a huge hike up stairs with large bags. Couch filthy. My elderly parents were in a room with the living area in the basement which stank due to the shower leaking and the carpets were soaked. Their room was on the Main Street with people smoking & drinking directly outside. Customer service woeful - zero communication or help with check in and over two weeks later we are still waiting for 250 pound security deposit to be returned. Completely unacceptable and we are having to chase daily.

We loved our night away here, the apparements where stunning with lovely views over the docks. Comfy beds and very spacious including the bathroom, that was huge! Only downside I would say is the website actually says parking on site but there isn't. You had to park in the nearby dock car park (£18 for 24 hour) and from the outside it isn't completely obvious this is the best western. We had to pull up and I ran inside to ask and find out where to park. Other than this absolutely stunning and we will definitely be returning
