It was conveniently located just a few minutes walk from Crypto.com Arena.
The room had a bathtub, but the bathtub was extremely shallow, so it didn't feel like I was taking a bath.
The hotel also has a coin laundry and accommodation costs are low, so I think it's a good base for traveling.
The street just north of the hotel feels deserted, so I think it's best not to get too close to it.
This is my third time staying in Courtyard by Marriott Monterey Park. I requested a room on second floor close to self laundry. I was given a handicapped room which is at a corner with two windows. Everything went smoothly as other times. Enjoyed the Chinese dim sum restaurant downstairs a lot. I also did all my Asian shopping done at the GW Supermarket next door.
The location is extremely convenient for getting around. The hotel rooms are spacious, and the surrounding area is well-equipped with all necessary amenities. Crucially, you'll hardly see any homeless people. Most nearby places are within easy walking distance, and it's not far from the subway station either.
Our experience at this hotel was extremely mixed. I’ll list the good points first, and then mention issues we had, as they were quite significant.
Pros: The location was great, close to the airport (about a 12 minute drive) and also right next to a huge mall with a Target and many restaurants, several grocery stories, Starbucks, etc. Super convenient for flying in/out of LAX and also getting around various locations in LA.
The aesthetics of the lobby are generally nice and it seems like it’s been renovated recently. There’s also free (and delicious) chocolate chip cookies in the lobby around 5:30 each evening.
The front desk staff are generally helpful and responsive.
Finally, to the cons:
Most of our gripes are related to the hotel’s housekeeping service. The housekeeping service at this hotel was the worst I have ever experienced. We constantly had to call and ask for basic necessities the weren’t replenished: no wash clothes or hand towels, no bedding for the couch bed, several times they failed to take the very full trash out, etc. Worst perhaps of all was how they never changed the paper, ice biner, or glass cups in the room. We used the glasses on the first night of our stay, the next day they took one of the dirty glasses and left the other, never giving us cleans ones or taking the dirty glass for the entirety of our 5 day stay (see photo). They also didn’t replenish the paper coffee cups.
At the end of our stay we shared our dissatisfaction with the front desk manager over the poor housekeeping services and she was very understanding and apologetic and there was any way she could make it up to us, which was very appreciated.
The bed was very soft and comfortable. It was very close to Westfield, about a 6-7 minute walk. However, no one came to change the trash when we checked in, and the shower water pressure was too strong.
It's not far from Universal Studios by car, about 20 minutes, and the hotels nearby are more expensive. But we arrived very early on the first day and went in at 8 o'clock, so we finished Harry Potter three times. Played with all kinds of things. Service is also good

This hotel is not convenient from the airport. There is no shuttle bus from the airport. We saw a fake review that said there is a shuttle bus. it's so bad! Ctrip should not allow such a review!! When we realised that there is no shuttle bus from the airport, we called an Uber from the airport to go to the hotel. Each way the Uber cost 46 dollars (without tip). Even though the hotel is not very far from the airport. We don't know why it's so expensive. So we paid 100 dollars just to from and to the airport. We are not happy about it :(
So don't stay at this hotel if you are going from the airport. Don't make the same mistake we did and waste your money.

The room was OK. I've stayed there before and didn't have a bad impression.
But this time, I never expected to be charged nearly $80 for just 12 hours of parking. It's shocking, right? It's the most expensive hotel parking fee in the United States in all these years.

Staff super helpful from start, room nice and clean, location is great (walking distance from SM pier)… the wifi provided for free is enough for what you have to do on a regular day (option to upgrade to fast for a fee) valet parking available for $45 a day ( the area charges around $30 per day for public parking, so its a good deal as you can go in an out as many times as you can)

LLeaThis hotel is just one mile from Long Beach airport. Free airport shuttle runs every 30 mins, starting from 5:30AM.
The room is clean and modernity furnished. We just came from Palazzo in Vegas, so, this hotel room seems small but actually quite comfy for two.
GGuest UserThe hotel is in a great location, halfway up the mountain and below is the Chinese community. It's very convenient to get around. The breakfast is also good. I will continue to choose to stay here next time I go on a business trip
CchristineMHRoom cleaning and toiletries replacement are provided every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. The room was cleaned. Sound insulation is slightly poor. The surrounding environment is safe and there are many Japanese and Korean restaurants nearby.

KKenn WatnickExcept for the initial room provided ... which we quickly rejected; the 2nd room was better.
Service was good.
Dining service was excellent.
Location right off the freeway.
