Kids really enjoyed the place , will visit again

I wouldn’t book this hotel in advance—the same-day rate was noticeably cheaper and still included breakfast. On arrival, the air-conditioning wasn’t cold. We called reception and a technician came about 30 minutes later and fixed it, though they entered the room wearing shoes, which I found unhygienic. The body wash dispenser was already empty, so we had to request a replacement. The biggest issue was a motion detector in the room with a bright red indicator light; it kept activating whenever we moved at night and woke us several times. Overall: good price if booked last-minute, but maintenance and sleep quality need improvement.

The best hotel in Hunter Valley! We even stumbled upon a cheese company's party, which was a delightful surprise.

This hotel is ideal for both business travelers and family holidays. Golf enthusiasts will appreciate direct access to the golf course right outside the hotel. Inside, there's also a swimming pool and a restaurant, and the breakfast is incredibly extensive and varied. Highly recommended.

The beautiful surroundings offer a unique perspective on Australia's suburban charm. The hotel boasts excellent facilities, making it ideal for families – especially with so many amenities for children to enjoy. Highly recommended!

Good location with big water-park. On the other hand, poor amenities incl. No-drinking water bottle in room, no-skin care items. Restaurant dinner was average level and we had to wait 1h to receive initial drink.

Very impressive, we enjoyed our stay there very much. It seems to be very family oriented as all the families we saw were all having a great time . The buffet breakfast was as good as I have seen at any resort we have been to

Shampoo and conditioner was empty, mini bar 1 bottle of water in fridge was already open, our room view was a tin roof. Shower floor was dirty!

Disappointed and Frustrated Stay!!! We recently stayed at Rydges Hunter Valley and were extremely disappointed with the experience. Despite booking and paying in advance for a twin room, we were given a king bed instead. We clearly stated we were friends, not a couple, but the manager simply told us that twin rooms were “subject to availability” — which was never mentioned during booking. Her response? Either take the king bed or cancel and get a refund to go elsewhere. No empathy, no help — just plain rude and dismissive. We booked three rooms and requested to be placed closer together, yet we were assigned rooms in separate blocks, even though it was clear the hotel wasn't full. The room we got seemed neglected — the door lock wasn’t working properly and there were flying insects inside, which made it feel unclean and unwelcoming. This is far from the standard we expected from Rydges. Poor customer service, lack of communication, and no willingness to accommodate reasonable requests. Would not recommend and definitely won't be returning.

Amazing experience. Excellent breakfast. Been there before and will again too.

Beautiful location, clean and nice hotel, good kitchen and pool

Everything’s good. Just a little pity that it’s not school holiday and the kids activities area was closed.

The environment is nice, but it's a shame they don't provide slippers – you have to bring your own.
