Perfect !!!!! The location is fantastic near the lake and the center. The apartment is also beautiful and very bright and is even better live than photos. New and treated in every detail. It is like staying in a modern Suite of a hotel, towel, shoes, fabric, coffee shops and all the information that is useful to visit the city and the surroundings. Gabriele has a office just inside the building and is very accessible and kind. We are welcomed in advance of check-in time, making our stay even more comfortable and pleasant. This makes the stay more relaxing and the apartment cheaper than other facilities because it is included in the price what is unusual for Lugano. Check out the direct site you will open a chat to ask for information. We wrote there and Gabriel answered that he followed all our booking and stay, leaving us also a business phone for any need. We had a wonder stay for two nights. The hotel is a classic with lots of history and a perfect location for walking to the town or enjoying a swim in the Lake. The formal restaurant was outstanding. Be sure to ask for a room with a view of the lake. The Pizza restaurant was perfect for a casual dinner with a great view.

We stayed here for our honeymoon - it was glorious! The only ”issue” was with Mother Nature - the wintry cold set in the day before we arrived, so we didn't get to take advantage of our gorgeous private balcony to take in views of the lake. It was quite cloudy and cold. That being said, the staff was incredible, the rooms were AMAZING, the beds were comfortable, and the spa was relaxing. The private shuttle took us to town as well as the train station. We were also able to order coffee service to our room the day we left because we had to depart early, before breakfast. I would absolutely recommend this hotel for relaxing and staying put, and for an elegant, elevated experience. It is a bit far from the downtown Lugano area, so if you plan to go out and explore, be sure to arrange transportation with the front desk (unless you have a car). All in all, a great experience!!

If you are booking a luxury hotel in Lugano, there is no other option for me. While it’s not right in the middle of the City, it’s in a nice and quiet area and the 10-15 minute walk to the city is great for settling the stomach after eating to much pizza. The grounds are simply stunning, the views are amazing, the breakfast buffet is not amazing but very good (Although the woman who seat you could smile a bit more, all the other staff at breakfast are great). The private Lido is awesome. I will never stay at another hotel in Lugano for our annual summer trip, it has won my loyalty for life.

The people who work at Hotel Besso are extremely kind. Never in my life have I experienced such great hospitality before. They accommodated our every need, and when my father had a heart attack in Lugano one very kind man from the staff drove me to the hospital. They upgraded our room and made sure we were comfortable. The hotel is close to restaurants, shopping and the lake. You can see the lake from the balcony. We will surely be coming here again.

The room was modern and stylishly furnished, as well as very clean. The self-checking/out also worked smoothly. The structure is very central, it is located in the street behind Riva Vincenzo Vela (head street along the lake) and near the LAC parking house. Many beautiful shops are found there. From there you can reach the beautiful old town in a few minutes, where you can sit in the cafe or look at attractions. I would like to highlight the service provided by Francesco. I had forgotten my expensive professional hairdryer in the bathroom at the departure. I was immediately informed after the departure that the cleaning power had found my hairdryer. I was fortunately still on the ground and could still pick it up. Since the cleaning power couldn't wait long, I had not much time, but he was concerned to find a solution so that I could have my hairdryer back. Very exemplary! At this point I don't understand some negative reviews, if for someone respect and friendship is a foreign word, then you don't have to expect it to come back. The location of this hotel is particularly good on the commercial street of the old town. On the first floor is the shop selling Swiss army knives. The shop is not the door of the hotel. Don’t walk through it. You can walk downhill from the train station. There is a steep slope and it is recommended to go down the mountain. It is a little tired to go up the mountain. If you have a Swiss Pass, you can take the cable car down for free. The room is very light and the decoration is very fresh. From the hotel, go to the opposite direction of the train station and quickly go to the lake. The cruise ship terminal is on the left hand side of the exit, and the pier is further a park. A hotel I like more, small and exquisite.

Not a bad stay at this hotel. Close to all that Lagano has to offer. Lots of shopping and restaurants right behind the hotel and a very nice lake walk to the front of the hotel.The lake is Beautiful anytime but after dark all the houses around the lake light up which is nice. Room 354 offers great views of the lake and has a large bath and separate shower which is great. Breakfast is good and has a selection of meat’s eggs cheeses and pastries along with the usual fair for a buffet breakfast. Parking is a pain although they validate your parking which is good. There is a small area out front of the hotel to unload your bags which makes things easier. Not a bad stay but my only complaint was the beds! boy are they low and uncomfortable.
