Hotel Puerta de Toledo Reviews

This hotel is quite old and located next to a large roundabout, about a kilometer from Puerta del Sol, so you can easily walk to the bustling streets. However, the hotel is like those old, small inns found near train stations in China. The room is tiny, and the bathroom is even smaller, with a urinal and a toilet side-by-side. The toilet itself is old and cramped. I didn't dare use the bathtub, and the shower's glass door only covered half the area, so water sprayed all over the floor when showering. The towels and bath towels were old and grimy. It seems a hotel costing around 1000 RMB in Spain has facilities comparable to those small inns in front of Chinese train stations, or about a 100 RMB inn in China. I'd advise against booking these independent, non-chain hotels; a chain hotel would be better. However, unless you're paying upwards of 300 Euros for a room in Spain, even 1000 RMB hotels often have dirty towels and bath towels.

Good-looking hotel, only the climate system is blowing hard while there is no water boiler at the bathroom a cockroach 🪳 was found during the night. The bathroom was small but nice only paint on the ceiling was cracking. Breakfast for 11 euro's when purchased a day upfront was good with lots to choose from.

Clean hotel, friendly staff, and good location. The only downside is that soundproofing isn’t good.

concierge helped us book a cab last minute to the airport because we couldnt find one in the city. facilities were minimal, good enough for our stay. walkable distance to other attractions.

The room is comfortable. The service is good too! The shower head in our room wasn’t working well, the staff helped us quickly to change a better room.

Go for Airbnb instead this hotel if you are looking for any services. Nothing like hotel experience except paid breakfast. Overpriced. Cleanliness & rooms are good.

Amazing hotel

Everything was actually good but the internet was kinda bad we couldn’t really watch youtube or call someone.

Everything nice, only No hot kettle and one time off slipper.

The hotel is so clean and staffs are very friendly. Breakfast is so good and have a full hot items.

The bathroom's wet and dry areas weren't properly separated, so water splashed out. The location is excellent, right next to the subway station, and only two stops from the Grand Palace—very convenient. The bed was very soft and comfortable. We arrived two hours early but were still checked in, which is quite rare in Europe.

The hotel is very convenient for transportation. There is a bus stop at the door and the subway station is just across the road. The only problem is that the room is not well soundproofed. Because it is close to the road, there will be noise. The hotel breakfast is also good.

The hotel was very clean and hygienic, which was an important factor for me. It was also located in a relatively quiet area, unlike the noisy, homeless areas of Gothic Quarter. It felt very peaceful and safe here, which we really appreciated. The Wi-Fi was also good, there were plenty of restaurants nearby, and the subway station wasn't far away. Overall, we were very satisfied.
