Hostel Center Madrid

No amenities like tables or chairs in room to put belongings on. In washroom no pegs by sink to hang towels. Hostel is old and worn out

Me and my three friends had a traumatizing experience. If you are a woman DO NOT STAY HERE. The showers are see through and visible from the hallway, towels are not free as implied, nor is there AC like they advertised. The rooms are disgusting: we had ripped and stained sheets and hair all over the floor of our private room. The male attendant at the front desk entered our room without knocking or anything at 4 in the morning, and looked into our beds while we were asleep. I woke up to him peering into my friends bunk. When I asked him why he was in our room he ignored me until the second time when he came back and accused us of having a man in our room. We insisted we did not (because we didn't) and he then ignored us and left with no apology. We felt completely violated, and when we tried to talk to the hostel, they defended him! NOT A SAFE PLACE FOR YOUNG WOMEN.

Very affordable, well located and clean hostel. Rooms are a bit small, especially for those with large bags, but have lockers and curtains for the beds. Option to leave bags free of charge inside a locked room. 24h reception.

I was betrayed by their lack of responsibility, I checked out, left my shirt in the room, when I got I called immediately and told them exactly where the shirt was, they stalled, I called 4 or 5 more times, sent emails, no clear answer, only “ we are checking “ or “ you need to call at X hour “ in the last call the lady was pretty clear, they don’t care about it, I could call the police, they don’t have cameras and my shirt is not going back to me, she knows well who took it, and the whole hostel is aware of the situation, zero collaboration, I’m pressing criminal charges, never go to this hostel in your life!!

Friendly staff, clean and safe.

Location was good.

Excellent location

Great value for the price. 😃 · Great location. The beds are built around so you have privacy. There is small working station by the reception so you can work from there or from bed. The place is well maintained and clean. Location is perfect just at the entrance of gran via next to chueca. 😞 · Showers - only 2 for all male guests - we were 8 people in the room, 7 guys and there where other rooms sometimes you needed to wait for shower. Additionally the cleaning hours for showers - they cleaned it at 10 am (check out is at 11) thus I almost missed check out time because of this.
