This hotel is situated at the sensational site among pine trees, looking towards the most beautiful sunset. The see is cristal clear. The rooms are rather small, but comfortable. Everything is clean. The food is local and of high quality. The best of all are people - they are very comitted, competent and nice. Many thanks to all.

The forest, the beach, the water - absolutely amazing. However, I would never say that Aurora is a 4 star hotel. The food was indeed incredible (in variety and million different ways of preparation, for all tastes) and the hotel n general was very clean. The first issue was waiting for us on arrival at reception. They informed us that sunbeds and umbrellas on the beach are not, in fact, free. There is an additional charge (12 euros for beds and an umbrella) per day. It is not too expensive, but it is an issue when the booking offer says they are free. The room was decent and very clean, but there was no kettle (which is strange for a 4 star hotel). The biggest surprise in the room was related to beach towels. There were beach towels and a beach bag you can use, which was nice, but there was an additional charge to have them washed. I have never seen this in a hotel - having to pay extra for washing towels. We also had problems finding a spot at the beach, where people reserve beds with towels at 6 a.m. while the beach was empty until 10 o'clock. Beach staff saw this and didn't do anything. Finally, we left with a damaged car - tree raisin from the trees at the free parking. I wish someone from the staff had warned us as it never crossed my mind. If they had, we would have parked the car in the closed parking garage (for an additional charge). Overall, excellent location, not so excellent hotel.

This was our second time in Aurora, and my fourth. The hotel and the position of it is nice, I like that it is near sea. The staff is kind and nice, and the entertainment programe on the terrace is nice as well, especially one night during our stay we were listening to some trio ban/group. It was one girl singing, and two men (one drummer and one guitarist), they were great. But, this year I was disaapointed with food (breakfast, we only had that included. The choice od food was great, but everything taste the same. I remember the previous years, it was way way better. This year they started to charge the hotel parking which I haven’t seen yet in other places, but okay that’s the hotel policy. Another thing is the pool, smaller one. This is mostly a guests problem, because the people are rude. Most of the time guests leave their towels at lounge chairs near the pool, and leave for coffee, breakfast etc. They are gone more than half an hour/45 minutes, and when other people come at that exact moment they don’t have a place to put their things because others put theirs and left. Some people are not able to go to the beach for various reasons and then they don’t have a place to put the things and enjoy the pool. So this is just a suggestion for the staff to check the pool more frequently and to enable a place for people who are not reserving their place near the pool. Because the lounge chairs are not paid like on the beach, they are free for everyone. All in all it was okay, most satisfied with personel, especially at the reception and hotel bar!

Stayed here half board for three nights. This is very large hotel which shared facilities with hotel Vespa next door Room- room was nice, air conditioning good, shutters good, no tea and coffee facilities in room. We had a park view which is basically a car park view but not all rooms can face the sea! In fact due to the Pine trees it only looked like the very top floor rooms would have a sea view which would likely come at a premium. A number of the rooms facing us sea are directly over the entertainment area so bear this in mind- great if you want to watch from your room but could be loud above the bar. Location- right above a beautiful bay, 15 min walk from Mali losinj harbour or less than five mins drive. Lovely walks around the bay from the hotel. Parking- problematic. There is free parking but it was pretty much full when you returned after a day out. Basically you can park anywhere out the front of either hotel or up near the road. You can pay extra for their private car park which we did on the last night as couldn’t find a space- peak season I’d imagine you’d have to do this if you don’t want hassle and plan on coming and going a lot. Beach- just stunning. Pebble so take beach shoes. Sun beds and umbrella are 30 kunas each which does mean that you are more likely to find one as we went down in the afternoon and there were still beds available. Pedalo hire etc, beach bar and toilets. Sunsets are magical. Yes there’s a few steps but only an issue if you have mobility impairments. Cikat bay is also beautiful. Food- pretty good. I can imagine it would get repetitive if there for a week but there are other places you can eat (for a price) to change it up. You can sit on the terrace which is lovely but you need to get there early. It did get quite busy towards the weekend so I can imagine peak season there may be queues but it’s a large restaurant. Several coffee machines at breakfast although they did malfunction quite a lot. Sour cherry juice was lush! Staff very friendly. We didn’t check out the spa. The clientele was mainly adults but as the hotel next door is a family hotel and they share facilities there are children around so it’s not adult only. The hotel arrange some excursions but they only had them On a Friday so we couldn’t join them as this was our check out date. Overall I would recommend this hotel

We don’t usually stay at big resort hotels but it seemed the best option available near Mali Lošinj. It turned out to be one of the highlights of our whole trip round northern Croatia! Yes, it’s pricey (200 per night )but we had a great balcony with lovely view of the open sea beyond the fragrant pines. The Hotel is at Veli Sel beach and the whole place looks very upmarket for a big resort hotel.Even the small, pretty beach area is nicely done and looks smart. Nice spacious room.(Superior double with sea view.) First class buffet breakfast, only outdone by the amazingly good value 3 course buffet dinner(an incredible deal at 22 euros each) which we discovered on our second night.Wish we’d known it existed before this! Excellent quality and enormous variety of foods…lots of different fish, meats, salmon, various potato dishes and veg, cheeses, soups, salads plus desserts. A feeding frenzy! The separate restaurant at the beach is not part of the dinner buffet deal but the hotel has lots of balcony tables so the setting is lovely too.Plus the beach restaurant doesn’t get great reviews. Loved the location and SO glad we didn’t opt to stay in Mali Lošinj town itself, despite how pretty it is.Much prefer a quieter, rural location yet town was within walking distance on a forest path.Free parking just metres away from the hotel , avoiding the hotel’s own hefty charge and suggested by them. We were there pre the big influx of families so it was mostly a more ‘mature’ age group who were there.Great music played, perhaps given ages…Elvis, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Queen. I usually hate the awful modern ‘Muzak’ that’s played but this was so different and enjoyable. There was a DJ on Thursday night and couples dancing traditionally to the above crooners…great fun. Really would have loved another night here. The bay is gorgeous though it’s small and is busy but there are lots of places on the rocks to go into the crystal clear water, without hiring a lounger. Loved Losinj as an island.Much nicer than Rab.Neighbouring Veli Losinj village was if anything, even prettier than its bigger neighbour, in fact quite a wow and of course, quieter.

The hotel rooms and nice and very clean. Nice hall and restaurant terrace. The swimming pool area could be improved but it is not so relevant if you visit in summer. The location is astonishing. The hotel visitors are mostly elderly people especially in the late summer months, so if you are a relatively young couple looking for fun, you might want to look for other options. Otherwise, everything is perfect for a relaxed holidays.

Hotel is big and old but maintained and very clean. It has everything for a decent guest. Sea shore is near the hotel but you need to walk down over some steps. Sea is clean. Parking is in the opposite side, in forest with pine trees. Breakfast and dinner have really all you need and more. Evening entertainment is average. Prices are, as you expect in Croatia this year – higher than a year ago.

Sea view rooms, below the 3rd floor are totally blocked by trees. In order to reaget a water view you need to be up on the 4th floor and pay the premium level. We found it very noisy with the terrace door open, people pullng the metal window shades up and down at 6:30am. Room was decent size, very clean. Buffet breakfast was quite good, lots of selections but very crowded.
