Ali BEY Resort Sorgun

Despite being ridiculously hot due to the heatwave we had an amazing time at this resort. The rooms were perfect for us (we stayed in the duplex room) with the kids upstairs. The rooms were decorated really nicely and unusual, not just nice 'boxes' like some hotels. The kids had their own minibar fridge in their room as well as child sized slippers and robes. The hotel complex is great, being set among the trees with several individual accommodation blocks rather than one large building. There were always people cleaning and sweeping and tidying and doing a great job of making it look amazing. The insects (cicadas) that live in the trees were really noisy at times but after a while they become part of the ambience. The food was great with loads of choice at breakfast and dinner times. It got trickier to find a table at dinner time if you came down later on, particularly in our 2nd week when the hotel got fuller. You can choose to eat either inside air conditioned areas or outside on terraces and gardens. During their day there is loads on offer - pancakes, jacket potatoes, hotdogs, sandwiches, ice creams, milkshakes, waggles and also another cafe area where you can order lunches off the menu. There's a stand in the afternoons with a variety of fresh fruit as well. Shout out to Isa in the dining room at dinner - super organised and constantly running around making sure your drinks were topped up and everything was OK. The pools were fantastic - we never got seats at the main pool as we are not early risers on holiday (shame that as usual a lot of people reserved beds but then we're rarely seen for the rest of day meaning that it was mostly empty beds just with towels on around the pools) but there were plenty of other pools and the beach and we always got sunbeds somewhere. On our last day we did see the towel police out, removing towels and items from sunbeds if they had been unoccupied for too long. The aqua park slides were great, especially for the kids. Big thanks to the lifeguards who dashed over to help us when our son bashed his nose whilst running on the baby park, resulting in a hug nose bleed. They sorted him out with a chair, bags of ice, gauze etc and made sure everything was OK. There is an on site doctors office that you can go to if needed. On the beach there's a pontoon you can swim out to, to jump off. Not much in the way of sealife. Our kids (8 and 11) tried a few activities at kids club but they were a little bit old for most of them. They then discovered 'teenage club' which was an air conditioned room with games consoles, games, drinks fridge, karaoke, table football etc which was open at certain times of the day. The entertainment and activities team were great (particular thanks to Salim, Sabri and Dwayne 'the rock' (sorry didn't get his real name)). Hotel is lovely & clean, plenty of pools and sunbeds. Food was a massive let down along with the drinks package. We booked a duplex room but ended up with a family suite located across from the rubbish tip which came alive at 3am!!! Don’t judge by the photos of the hotel rooms on the website as they are not what you get. Have stayed 5* in turkey before & this doesn’t rate.

Otel bol yeşillik icerisinde olmasi, havuzlari ve sahilinin guzel olmasina rağmen bazi işletme sorunlarindan dolayi tatilin tadini çıkartamiyorsunuz. Otele giriş yaptığımız günün (07.06.2023) akşamı barlardan birinde bir içki istedigimde garson oda numaramizi sordu. Neden oda numarasini istediğini sorduğumuzda ise otelde iki tür müşteri kaldığını, bir kısmının hersey dahil, bir kısmının ise ultra hersey dahil konakladığını, istedigimiz içkinin ultra grubuna girdigi için konaklama türümüzü ögrenmesi gerektiğini belirtti. Neyse ki ultra konaklamada olduğumuz için içkimizi içebildik. Biraz zaman sonra baska bir garsondan ayni içkiyi istediğimizde yine oda numarasi sordu. Az sonra daha yetkili bir garson yanima gelip anahtarimizi gormek istediğini, çünkü belirttiğimiz odanin kayıtlarda boş göründügünü söyledi. Anahtar oğlumuzla dolaşmaya çıkan eşimde oldugu icin onu yanima çağırıp anahtari gösterene kadar da içki servis etmediler. Daha sonra özür dilediler ama daha ilk günden sanki dolandırıcıymışız muamelesi yapararak tatilimizin tadını kaçırdılar. Bu arada odalar guzel ve ferah ancak balkonlar iki kişinin oturmasına fırsat vermeyecek kadar dar. Ayrica havlular kartla alınıyor olmasına rağmen sabah 10.00'dan sonra plajda ve havuzda boş şezlong bulmak mümķün degil. Son olarak da muhtemelen Türk müşteri olduğumuz icin bize süregelen bir inşaatın hemen dibinde ve çamurluk alana yakın bir oda verdiler (fotoğraflari ekledim) ama yorgun olduğumuz için değişim talep etmedik. Bir daha gelir miyiz. Kesinlikle HAYIR...

From start to finish, this hotel was everything we could have hoped for and more. We arrived late at night and were checked in quickly then taken to our room via golf buggy. The guy then took our bags to the room for us. On arrival, the room was incredibly clean and spacious. We had fully stocked mini fridges in the rooms and a fruit bowl. We were shocked at how big the room was and on 2 floors! There were plenty of pools and sun beds. You didn’t have to get up at 6am for sunbeds either, there were loads available throughout the day. Towels are provided every day too which is an added bonus. My children (15 & 11) enjoyed the water park with the slides, there was never a queue! Food - amazing! The variety of food on offer is superb. From the main restaurant, to the beach bar, to the waffles and crepes, to sandwiches and jacket potatoes. We certainly didn’t go hungry! Staff were so efficient and polite. The cake shop is incredible! The cakes are 10/10, unbelievable that it is included with the all inclusive. The lady at the cake shop was so friendly, polite and smiley. Always encouraging us to take extra cakes :) Drinks - the cocktails and mocktails were great, so much choice! Beach - the beach was clean and there were plenty of sun beds and umbrellas too. Another perk is the bar on the beach which provides smoothies and fruit drinks (as well as icecream). We also used the gym facilities (at an additional cost). There was plenty of equipment, all clean. There were bottled water and towels provided. Evening entertainment was ok. Not really up our street but lots of people enjoyed it. The best night was the DJ on the beach and the fire show. Everything about this hotel was amazing. I will definitely return. My only negative about the hotel was the guy that comes round and tries to get you to buy into the spa treatments. I’m not on holiday for a sales pitch. I know where the spa is if I want to go.

Been here before and absolutely love it. Staff/food/cleanliness all excellent. Only one negative, when we arrived in early hours, weary with young children in tow, a porter brought our luggage to the room, I gave him a tip and he then asked for €100 notes in exchange for his coins and stood there while I searched through our money. He also made the same request of our daughter and they were coping with a fractious baby and toddler. On reflection we felt this request was not appropriate and feel sure the lovely management would not approve this behaviour. Nevertheless, our holiday was fab and thanks again to the wonderful friendly staff.

We had an excellent time. We have two boys - 12 and 14 - and the place was the best we have stayed at in terms of all inclusive places for us and them. We had adjoining rooms which were large, well maintained and cleaned daily by friendly staff. Shower and bath, plus the free mini bar and safe etc. we were in block 10 which was a few mins walk from the main area. Perfect for us. We used the beach which was always clean and tidy. Sandy and shelving into the sea was very gradual which was nice and safe and good for the kids. No problem getting a subbed with a bit of effort and nice parasols to keep sun off if that’s your thing. Milkshake/soft drink/ice cream bar was a nice touch. The pools were good. Again plenty for options. Note we didn’t appreciate until late that some were much warmer than others! Wondered why some were empty! 😀 Used the buffet for dinner. It’s mass catering so never going to be quite as good as a la carte but we all enjoyed it. Fresh food with plenty of variety. All clean and tidy and plenty of tables. Staff clearly make a lot of effort with the food. Used other bars and eateries around the place. All these were good too. Plenty of choice. Staff helpful and attentive. Played tennis and paddle. Courts in very good condition and well maintained. Bring your own racquets if you have them for ease. Went out to the tennis centre. Empty! Got free bus over and back. Note there is s charge. We stuck to the tennis courts at the hotel. Could play when we liked. Water slides were good. Not that busy and 5 good slides. Not massive so don’t expect a thrill seekers paradise but for what we wanted again excellent. Well supervised. Improvements? There was nothing organised for teenagers that we found. Too old for kids club but too young (over 16) for adult activities Also a bit more info in the room in what is available and what is included would have helped. It was a bit of a voyage of discovery - perhaps part of the charm! We had a great time and the fact we are considering going back speaks volumes - not something we usually do.

I and my husband just returned from the holiday in Ali Bey resort Manavgat. We are very disappointed as our holiday did not go to the right direction. I felt unwell in a second day of our holiday and I asked for help. To be honest it is a long story. I do not want to go in details but hotel Guest relation's dept and Je2Holidays rep were aware of it and only I wanted from them to ask next day if we feel better. Basically no one cares if we ok or not but we could spread the virus all around the place . What makes me really upset that looks like they did not believe us. , only room lady felt sorry for us as and make sure that we have enough water and tea and ask if we need anything else as we stayed in room for 2 days all day. Greeting/meeting team also failed their job - elderly couple arrived and no one met them - did not help with the luggage, couple looked lost - 5 star hotel - really? They all been busy with tee, cakes and drinks in luggage room - so your reception did not looked professional at all. Overall is a really lovely hotel. Love my room and grounds. There are lots of hard working and friendly stuff who made sure that we all are ok and happy.

Back 2nd time in 2 years. Only hotel we have ever returned to. Only ate in buffet restaurant and extremely happy with variation even after 2 weeks. Few changes since last year ie fewer restaurants and 1 less pool but enjoyed it just as much. Staff are absolutely fabulous, and hotel setting is beautiful, very green and gardens well looked after.

We had again a wonderful family holidays at the beautiful Ali Bey resort Sorgun in October 2023. This time even merrier with bigger family of different age of 4.5, 6.5, 41, 42, 47, 65 and 81! All 3 suits were perfect (1 family complex, 2 standard double rooms, building no. 12 and 6). The hotel park, restaurant and beach are clean and well maintained. The all inclusive buffets look and taste great. Snacks in every area are fresh. The evening entertainment was creative and fun. No one was ever bored in this 11 days of our stay. Most important of all is, enough very friendly and well trained staffs. One can feel that the hotel is been well taking care of and all staffs are happy to work here. Thank you and see you again next year!
