A delightful hotel experience in Shikoku It happened to be my friend's birthday, and she's a big fan of Tadao Ando, ​​so we stayed at this hotel and another one on Naoshima designed by Ando during our Shikoku trip. I must say, the service at this hotel was exceptional. Judging from the room description, it seems to be managed by a professional team that operates hotels and restaurants throughout Japan. The experience was excellent. First, the hotel staff were incredibly kind and gentle, and their English was the best we encountered during the entire trip. Given the current trend in the Japanese hotel industry of hiring Southeast Asian staff to save costs, the staff here were all Japanese. Especially during dinner, a professional sommelier provided detailed explanations of the wines and dishes, and also engaged in cultural discussions with guests, making us feel truly at home. The hotel's selection of items, such as tableware and shoes, is handcrafted by local artisans, showcasing a level of detail unlike that of typical hotels. The only minor flaw was an empty beer bottle left unattended next to the refrigerator in the mini-bar.

Located on a hill overlooking the Seto Inland Sea, this stylish hotel was designed and renovated by Tadao Ando. You can watch the sunset from the pool area in the evening. The hotel has only seven guest rooms, and the food is exquisite.

This hotel is located on the top of a mountain and was designed by Tadao Ando. There are seven rooms in total, one per floor, including the new building and the main building. Because we arrived late today, the hotel left four staff members to serve us. They had been emailing us to inquire about the arrival time and whether we had food allergies. They were very caring and meticulous. We booked a semi-open-air hot spring forest room. The room is large, but the decoration style is very Andou style. The room has a private bath but it is not open-air, two bathrooms, and a mini bar with various drinks. The Ehime orange juice is very delicious. The whole hotel is Andou Tadao's gallery. The main features are spaciousness, natural light, concrete, and basement. It is a mini version of Chichu Gallery in Naoshima.

Staying in the hotel is like staying in an art museum. I really like the sunny restaurant. The breakfast and dinner are very exquisite and delicious. The cafe has many Tadao Ando books to read. I highly recommend the sea view room, which directly overlooks the Seto Inland Sea. You can enjoy it early in the morning. Watching the sea slowly grinding beans to make hand-brewed coffee, I really like the coffee beans in the room! ! When I left, I wanted to buy a pack to take away. The service is also great! It’s a perfect travel experience! ♥️

最開始被吸引是因為設計師是安藤忠雄，一座建在山裡的清水泥建築，工藝很好感覺古樸與現代技術、傳統與前衞交織。

稍微有點舊了，但是很值得去
