Just returned from a lovely week, the staff are all very friendly and welcoming, the whole place is kept beautifully clean, there are plenty of sun beds, the only area that gets really full is by the infinity pool. The food was great and there’s something for everyone, we used the app to book the themed restaurants which apart from the gourmet one are also buffet style but much smaller so a far nicer experience than the main buffet restaurant. We would definitely recommend and return.

Have stayed at the hotel many times before the refurbishment. It is now an even better hotel than before. The extra restaurants are an excellent addition and the Italian for breakfast is a great restaurant. The coffee shop with barista style coffee is fabulous with cakes sandwiches and pastries available all day. My only criticism would be the cha ges to Las Dunas restaurant having the food selection stations separate from the actual eating area has left it with little or no atmosphere background music may help. The tables outside in the corridor between the restaurant and the bar was not a pleasant place to sit with everyone walking past whilst trying to cut across to your table with plates of food. The staff are always working to keep the place spotless and the bar staff and reception staff are always helpful and pleasant.

Overall the changes in the public areas are very good and provides a great impression. Check in was smooth, we had a garden room with a great view, and lots space, however we feel that it is a shame that the bedrooms have not received the same refurbishment as the public spaces. Grounds were again immaculate, plenty of available sun beds, pool and daytime entertainment very good. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were of a good standard with plenty of choice to suit all. Staff always happy, smiling and helpful, for further improvement I suggest the 24hr sports bar had a smoke free section outside, and on the nights of the Rui Party, as much as we took part and enjoyed it, there could be somewhere for people who do not wish to take part, and it’s a shame the sunset bar does not stay open after 7pm.

We always try and stay at a Riu hotel and this hotel hits the standard. The staff will always try and accomodate your requests. The App is so good, we asked for extra pillows and they arrived quickly. We managed to book all the special restaurants which were all very good. The dissapointing one for me was the gourmet restaurant, they were short of staff so service was very slow. It was our friends birthday while we were there and they made a fuss and sang while bringing out the cake that we had pre ordered before our arrival. They also had lots of entertainment and plenty to keep you occupied during the day for those that like to keep busy. The adults only pool was very busy and I think people must be up at 6am to get the towel on the beds! This seems to be the case at most hotels so they are not on their own! Its better to avoid this area and there are plenty of sunbeds around. We will definatley go back to this hotel if we fancy a quick week in the sun!

Really enjoyed our fortnight at the hotel.Staff were excellent as was the food in all the different restaurants.The most disappointing was the Gourmet Restaurant but really loved the Asian and italian ones.Bit disappointed that in the literature it says long trousers should be worn in the restaurants but this didn't happen with some people looking as though they had come from the swimming pool.Also disappointed that in adult only areas sometimes there were children who were clearly not adults there.Didn't really spoil the holiday but think these rules should be adhered to.Entertainment in the evening wasn't as good as the last time we visited but the Queen tribute band really were excellent.

Just returned from riu gran canaria Hotel what can I say we couldn't fault anything food was plentiful and very nice where ever you ate ,staff all very nice and very attentive, cleaning staff did a brilliant job our room was kept spotless they work very hard,wine and cocktails all very good ,entertainment was brilliant every night really enjoyed it thanks to everyone for making our stay so nice would definitely return.

We have been here several times! With the new a la carte restaurant and also the sportbar every family member in our company had something to do. The staff is so nice and the rooms are really good. Also the location of the hotel is brilliant. The only thing to comment is the supply of glutenfree food. The new cafeteria for exampel didnt have any option for my son. And the buffet has a very limited supply to choose from. If you walk through the buffet there is a gluten symbol on almost everything, even rice. So just 2-3 more options for the warm food would be great, he cant choose hardly anything. We can preorder of course and that works fine, but it removes the flexibiliy to order in advance for every meal and also the value of money for all-inclusive. So that would be the only thing to comment on!

It is the 3rd time we have stayed at the hotel. Definitely a very nice hotel where everything works. It is a pleasure to see how the buildings and the garden are maintained to perfection. We also love the good and varied music entertainment.
