Hotel Marquis Reforma

Mexico City|1.37km from Liverpool
Went here on a work trip and this place delivered. A very nice, clean, beautiful building in the middle of a great part of CDMX. My Spanish is less than average but most of, if not all, the staff speak VERY good English, including room service. I stayed in a suite which was very roomy, clean, the bathroom was very nice with all marble floors. The bed was very comfortable as well. I ordered room service for dinner one night and was blown away by how delicious everything was! I had a filet mignon, caprese salad and a warm brownie with vanilla ice cream. Filet was SPOT ON, salad was good (the mozzerella was definitely fresh, and if they didn't bake the brownie in house they had me fooled. I was literally saying out loud to nobody else in the room ”this is delicious!”. I'll have to say the athletic facility was pretty impressive as well. They have a ton of machines and equipment that are inside a glass enclosed atrium and very well put together. I was nursing some injuries at the time of my visit so only used the facility for light rehab work. I didn't get to use all of the equipment but was definitely impressed. Very clean and came in contact with staff only one day and they were very friendly as well. The only thing I would have liked in the room, and I realize this may be completely an American thing, is a bed side clock. I just like to wake up and see the time and/or use the alarm when I need it, I don't like waking up to ”wake up calls”. The phone ringing is not a fun way for me to awake.

The St. Regis Mexico City

Mexico City|1.41km from Liverpool
Marriott Titanium. Wife and I were in town for a babymoon and we decided to go back to Mexico City and try the St Regis. Really glad we did as everything was top notch as expected at a St Regis. Pros: Entire staff - friendly, super helpful, and genuinely caring staff from door, front desk, butler, restaurant, and all others. Thanks to Jesus for making reservations at amazing restaurants, Eduardo for going over the top for us, and the head concierge (sorry forget his name) for teaching my wife how to saber a bottle of champagne. Restaurant - ate breakfast every morning, had a lunch, and late night desserts at the hotel and the food is tasty with lots of options, taco bar for Saturday brunch, with great staff. Bar - I always try the bloody mary's when staying at St Regis properties as they have their own spin and the Mexico City one was very unique. But outside of that, the bar staff was very friendly throughout and made great drinks. Rooms - booked a deluxe suite for our stay and it was huge, clean, and had comfortable beds. Car service - can get you everywhere you need to get in a comfortable Navigator. Cons: Location - we love Mexico City and usually stay in the Polanco district and this was the first time we stayed in the ”central” district. Area is more business forward so you'll have to travel if you want to get to areas outside of that, but not at the fault of the hotel. Age - hotel is starting to show it's age a bit, but it's still very well kept. Pool - a bit smaller and jets in the hot tub didn't work, but it was nice to soak after walking all day. Cons are nitpicky and would not prevent us from coming back, which we will. Overdelivers on what a St Regis experience should be and we are very thankful that they made us feel so welcome and provided us great memories.

Suites Ganges

Mexico City|1.13km from Liverpool
If you like having a refrigerator to cool your drinks off or even put some cold cuts and cheese this is the place for you. There is also a electric hot stove with two burners. And a coffee makers and plates and utensils with drinking glasses. The ceiling lamp shade hangs low enough over the dining table that a few times I accidentally bumped my head into it. I suggest you bring some soap or shower wash like Dove to use when you shower because you only get one bar of soap to do everything. Also I like to hang up my clothes so I took 12 metal hangers with me. The closet has 5 hangers not enough for me. I stayed here close to three weeks. So I needed to have a good change of clothing. The hotel is a few steps from two restaurants that open 8 am weekday and 9 am weekends until around 5 pm. Basic meal with refillable coffee -the waiter comes and pours more-- will cost you 60 pesos about US$3.00. The bed is very comfortable. Best sleep I had in years. The block is quiet. Safe area. You see the police in their cruiser making rounds. Two blocks walk south then left is Calle Rio Lerma where all the action is such as restaurants and bars. When I first arrived i was able to dine in. Unfortunately the Covid-19 count went up so food was only ”llevar” to carry out. There is a range of food prices depending on what you are looking for. At Calle Nilo a couple blocks over is a very good taco shop with decent prices but like I say it's too bad I could no longer go in there to sit and eat. On an early Sunday morning the hotel arranged a car service pick up for me that cost $230 pesos about US$11.50. Took 20 minutes to arrive at the airport leaving at 5:30 AM. It's helpful to brush up on your Spanish because when you speak to staff they will drift off from English back to Spanish. So be prepared. Staff is a very great set of people who are helpful. My room was clean. It's located about a 15-minute walk from the Sevila subway Line 1. The fare on the train is currently 5 pesos. On the bus it's 6 pesos. I suggest you buy a fare card from the machine. You can always recharge the card either at the machine or with the clerk. If you recharge at the clerk you need to put the card up against the card reader-- I had no idea that is what she was telling me until someone who worked there came over and showed me to place it against the reader. When you're at the bus stop you can also recharge the card. Just stick the card in then it would read the balance. Then you can use a bill or coins. Then press recharga.. Don't do like me and make a mistake where I accidentally hit cancelar instead of recharge then the machine took my 50-peso bill and spit out a receipt. That's robbery. Where I live if you don't get service the machine spits back out your bill or coins. So beware you're warned.even though it's only $2.50 it's still money stolen brazenly. I added a lot of extra information because you will need these and your stay will be much more pleasant. Plus it might

Eurostars Zona Rosa Suites

Mexico City|2.13km from Liverpool
Likes: First I would like to mention that the staff was very friendly, helpful and professional. Location, location, location..... If you like to be in Zona Rosa, this place is perfect. The rooms, they actually all suite style rooms.... There are so many amazing restaurant option within a 3 block radios and the prices are very affordable. I think we ate our way through Mexico City and NO stomach issues, I may add Disliked: The hotel didn't provide a coffee maker, so the second room was useless to us. The bathroom as a bit small and had a step in bath/shower combo. The room was very clean and housekeeping was very friendly and able to give extra water bottles if needed. We didn't but our friends pre-purchased the breakfast option and they said it was not worth the $8.00 a day per person they paid extra. We had had an amazing breakfast for less than $5.00 a person just around the corner. I must admit the location was great of this hotel BUT right around the corner there are bars that play LOUD piping dance music till 4AM (Sundays 2AM) EVERY NIGHT. Our room was on the 9th floor and we didn't get to sleep till the music stopped. Even with ear plugs we felt the base..... Most of our friends had their rooms on the 4th and 5th floor and it must have been even louder there. Needless to say, most of us slept in till noon or 1pm..... If it wasn't for the extremely loud music, our stay at this property would have been great. AGAIN, the staff was amazing and hats off to them for dealing with those other guests that had been complaining about the noise...

The Hotel is very clean and well located. The employees are really nice and friendly. Security guard is at the entrance of the hotel at all time even though is a safe area. Breakfast really good and tasty 😋 ..hotel is close to the Venezuelan Embassy and to the DHL Store...Hotel is not a 5 star hotel, but it is more clean than most of these well known hotels...I was very pleased 😊

Modern accommodation in a great area for exploring Mexico city for a day or two. It's not a hotel so obviously the service is totally different than you'd expect For cleanliness and?overall amenities..But it's totally ok for a good night sleep and a convenient, safe, and nice location to stay. Wish they could PayPal bit attention to details, for example in trio.com?app it says the room had a?balcony and when we arrived we didn't even have windows. Exhausted from a long trip we didn't want to cause trouble but that could have been advised earlier. We were two people but only had one hand towel so that was an inconvenience that could have probably been avoided of the management would pay a birthday more attention to the bookings. Overall ok stay for an one night stop-over in Mexico city. Walking distance to restaurants and nice Polanco area day off night.
City Express Suites by Marriott Anzures
4.2/536 Reviews
The suite I stayed was modern and of a good size. The separate living room area is big enough to have several friends or coworkers over. I did not use the kitchen area but it seems fine too. Location in Anzures is very good, literally next door to Camino Real Polanco which is a quite famous 5 star hotel you can access from the back entrance for easy dining options (some good Sushi and Spanish restaurants inside as well as nice bar) The staff was friendly too and made you feel at home. Breakfast options were fine, and the small but modern gym has good enough options for small stay.

The location is safe, the rooms are large and the balconies are very nice. I will stay here next time. Although the hotel has been in operation for a long time, the facilities are OK. The room on the road is very noisy and it is recommended to choose the opposite room.

Very not soundproof and the curtains are seriously light, it is almost difficult to rest; cleaning is not careful, the dishwasher is full of dirty bowls. The location is good, nearby Wal-Mart supermarkets, banks, etc. are very convenient.
ParkLife Masaryk
4.5/598 Reviews
Be Mate Masaryk is an excellent choice for both business and leisure. The rooms are clean and spacious, and the location is convenient and safe, with easy access to attractions, restaurants, and shopping. The staff were accommodating and friendly—helping us with the washing machine and carrying our bags up the stairs when the elevator wasn’t working—and the daily breakfast was homemade and healthy. We had a very comfortable stay and would definitely recommend it.
