WARNING!! Marriott charges a $35 credit for the resort fee, even when their pool isn’t open. As part of the resort fee, they offer a $35 credit at their Gold Coast Kitchen for each day of your stay. We were staying for two days, so that should have been two $35 credits.
We called to confirm how we could use that credit. The representative told us that we could use it at two different visits on the same day, as long as we didn’t use it at the same visit. We attempted to use the first nights credit for breakfast and the second nights at the bar for a cocktail. We were not given the credit at our second visit and my credit card was charged for the full amount. I called and spoke with a manager, she said that the $35 credit could only be used per day and not the same day. She offered to refund my credit card for the full charge for being misled by the representative.
The refund was NEVER issued. I called at least 10 times and no one answered the phone, I had to escalate this to corporate and still no refund. I called and spoke with another manager Alexandra, and she is not honoring what the first manager promised. I will not be receiving a refund.
Be very careful trying to use that $35 credit, you could be charged for the very overpriced food at Gold Coast Kitchen as a result. As a Gold Elite member I am very disappointed in all the LIES we’ve been told and will NOT be returning.
