Hotel Central Station

Hotel Central Station is an apartment hotel operated by several Chinese businesspeople who have divided floors within the building. Its main advantage is its location right behind Milan Central Station, offering extremely convenient access to all types of transportation. However, the surrounding area can be a bit complicated. To enter the building, you need to ring a doorbell, and the main door will open automatically. The hotel offers a breakfast service for an additional fee. The biggest plus for Hotel Central Station is its convenient transport links and the many commercial areas nearby.

Free coffee machine at the front desk is a nice touch. It's also good that you can buy bottled water for 1.5 Euros. The hotel is close to the station, but the gate is a bit further away. However, the path is flat, so it's fine with suitcases. The subway station is unexpectedly far. Both the front desk and the rooms are on the second floor, but the elevator is surprisingly old.

The hotel's location is absolutely fantastic! It's super convenient as you can take a bus from the airport and get off right in front of the hotel. The central station is also right across the street, just a few minutes' walk away. My only minor concern was that it tended to be a bit noisy.

Although the double bed wasn't very big, the room was clean and comfortable. Above all, the convenience was excellent; there were supermarkets and restaurants within walking distance, and a bar right downstairs where you could grab a bite, which was very handy.

An absolutely terrible hotel, worse than a guesthouse. Even using the elevator was a hassle. The hygiene was subpar; the toilet seat was cracked, and there was a sour, musty smell on the room's chair. There wasn't even a duvet on the bed. Loud renovation-like noises started at 4 AM, and from 7 AM onwards, it was a constant cacophony of chairs being dragged and tables being moved. The soundproofing was non-existent; every sound from the hallway was clearly audible in the room. It was a complete mess. From the moment I checked in, I saw three front desk staff members, two of whom were Chinese. The female front desk attendant had an awful attitude; she didn't even respond when I greeted her and was incredibly sharp-tongued and unpleasant. It's a disgrace to have someone like that working in customer service overseas. Later that night, I was thirsty and bought a drink and chips from the front desk. The can had dark, sticky residue on it, which looked like insect remains. How this place is rated three stars is beyond me; they must have pulled some strings or something. Maybe it's for higher tax revenue? The only upside was the disposable slippers, but they squeaked terribly and were of extremely poor quality. This hotel is flawed inside and out, do not book!

The hotel was very clean and the service was excellent. We were able to leave our luggage there. The price was not too expensive and it's right next to the train station. Plus, it offers 24-hour service.

Go through the main entrance shown in my photo, and the stairs are on your left. The elevator is quite small, fitting two people and two pieces of luggage at most. However, I like these old-fashioned elevators, which are common in Europe. Breakfast is simple, but the coffee is good. The hotel is only a three-minute walk from the train station. We stayed for two nights in total. On the day in between, we went to Como and then returned to stay here again. But storing luggage costs 10 euros per night, which is a bit expensive.
