Not sure if I received the correct room but upon checking in, we were educated on a few perks available in the room which were unnecessary because there wasn’t anything they had described. There was only decaf coffee in the room. The room was dusty, rugs do not appear to be vacuumed, ac/heater unit was dusty, you can only imagine what happened when turning on the unit to stay warm. The bathroom smelled like a public bathroom, after the first night the smell kept getting worse as if it was building up from something. Toilets do not flush well, I have a neck and back injury and the shower head did not offer great positions and I only ended up uncomfortable standing there, I am 5’6”. The bathroom is a dangerous environment, there are no rugs for getting out of the shower safely, nor were there hangers in a safe distance for getting out of the shower in order to grab necessary towels and clothing. I had to buy my own disinfectant wipes to wipe down the entire room including all table surface areas, the heater unit, the curtains, the window sill, which were COMPLETELY covered in dust. I had an allergic reaction the first two days, my nose was clogged upon the first hour of being in the room including my boyfriend but I did not think much of it, by the next day my eyes were swollen and irritated even after leaving the hotel for air for a couple of hours, the reaction was through the roof by the second day. During my entire stay I left my room door open to hopefully ventilate and air out the dust in the room, by the 3rd day the dust allegeric reaction subsided. The smell in the bathroom did not. Housekeeping slams the door a lot coming and they’re metal doors. The bed sheets had light to dark yellow/brown stains, extremely uncomfortable situation when the sheets and blankets are white. I am from out of state and checked in at 9:30PM - 10PM and did not have the energy to check over the room until the following day. Upon asking the first shift lady for new blankets due to the stains, she assured me the owner does the laundry therefore I should not be concerned But that she will have new blankets come, which she relayed to no one. I waited two hours before showering because I did not want housekeeping nor anyone to be in the room without my presence. When returning to the front desk, after a couple minutes of waiting a staff arrives to start the second shift. He had no knowledge of my situation and had to get in contact with the first shift lady, who was already gone, on what I needed. He got me new blankets, by night time I set up all the blankets and there were cigarette holes in many spots. My boyfriend recommended calling front desk so we were not accused of causing the burn holes. Front desk arrives with new sets also with burn holes in them. I did not want to continute being frustrated therefore let it be as I only had one day left. I chose the hotel because of 4-star ratings but was completely disgusted and dissatisfied during my entire stay.
