Classic hotel. The 80’ 5*. Great view from room 222. Nonetheless the room is outdated. The elevator is ages old. Good for short stay. The location is superb with walking distance to Morrisons and Aldi.

The newish owners are going for a pub vibe and we were happy with that, especially as the room was really comfy and spacious. Service was a little bit casual (young staff, but we understand why) and the non-cooked part of the breakfast (included in the price) disappointing: fruit salad and fresh unsliced bread would have been great. Pastries and cereals a bit perfunctory. (We do like a good breakfast!)

A lovely hotel with fantastic views. We first visited several years ago and it was very special, with a wonderful à la carte dinner menu. However since its takeover by the chain, dinner is regular pub food and quite disappointing. Also the windows could not be opened very wide, which made it uncomfortably hot in a mini heat wave

The recent change of owner/operator has lost twhat was special at The Midland. The restaurent has been turned into a canteen and servise is poor.

Stayed for only the second time in 50 years, although the hotel has gone through a huge renovation program I think it has lost none of its style. Comfortable room, with balcony and wonderful view of the seashore, great bathroom with a shower that was not complicated as in others we’ve stayed. The food in the restaurant was first class and not over to top price wise, breakfast cooked to order, no problem with gluten free, plenty of staff so no long waits, staff very pleasant and accommodating, I saw one staff member patiently helping and elderly oriental lady who was having difficulty understanding the menu. A wonderful stay. We’ll be back.

The Midland Hotel Great setting, great hotel, Art Deco at its best. Bedroom clever layout and use of space with nice materials. Fantastic views, free parking. Food, odd arrangements. Order at bar for Al a carte prices. Avoid fish pie more accurately described as salmon and potato mush. Steak average, peppercorn sauce should say peppercorn gravy! Breakfast was terrible. Great staff, clean and safe space. The real Elephant in the Room however is Morecambe itself! It’s rundown, unsafe and it’s such a shame.

Just two complaints there needs to be a proper door on the bathroom and the food at the evening meal appeared to be microwaved but the breakfast was very good , the staff were very friendly and our room was excellent .
