XQ El Palacete

Well … we stayed here last year and loved it. This year we have been put in a room that’s not as nice for the same price and had a very weird experience at dinner tonight. At this adult only hotel there at two sittings in the buffet restaurant - 6.30 - 7.30 and 8.00 - 9.00. We arrived around 7.10 and were quite rudely told we “were late”. We apologised and said we would be finished by 7.30. There was one other elderly couple sitting inside and others outside with about 10 free tables outside. We asked to sit outside and were told we couldn’t as they “were all taken” and we were told we had to sit inside. This was nuts - if we were late how late were the others who had the tables outside before the next sitting?? Needless to say no one came to the outside tables and it was a bizarre start to a hotel we love - we felt unwelcome and “punished” and not sure if it is because we are British in a mainly German hotel but when I went to question how it worked with Luc at reception me tried to reason it away and then just said upstairs they deal with the rooms and had nothing to do with tables . The hotel restaurant was almost empty and this made no sense at all - fingers crossed we will have a better experience tomorrow night. One another note there also seems to be families with “older children” with them in this adults only hotel. We loved this hotel last year …

It was the most amazing vacation ever :) hotel, food, beach, staff, clealiness.. everything at the highest level. Definitely we will come back soon. Thanks for all the lovely details we are lack in huge hotels. Location is the best in the southern side of island.

Lovely hotel in a great position. The staff were all very nice and helpful The food was excellent. The only thing to remember is the fact that men aren’t allowed to wear shorts or tracksuit bottoms at dinner. It’s not a big deal, but just remember to pack long trousers for your stay.

We both agree that this hotel has the most friendly staff encountered for a long time and it starts with a very warm welcome from the front desk and filters all the way down to the pool lifeguard. If you want a hustle and bustle disco type venue This is not the place for you. If you want a relaxing place near an amazing beach along with a pool and views most holiday makers dream about this is most definitely recommended by us. The hotel rooms are a great design with two doors so that you don’t get any corridor noise and with a large bedroom and furniture on the balcony make for an enjoyable stay. The breakfast buffet sitting out on the veranda ticked boxes for us the sun beds were very comfortable and available even over the Christmas period and folks don’t reserve them and not use them all day. Pool attendant great guy and interesting character to converse with and he wants you to enjoy your day poolside. The lady manager and lady assistant manager are very approachable and they are always smiling and willing to assist with any problems you may have and they have such an awesome set of staff behind them it’s a pleasure to see it all working so well. Special mentions Hassan and his colleagues in the bar area, all the house keeping staff are hard working and keep your room in tip top condition. Restaurant staff Sara and too many others to mention but always fantastic service and warm pleasant welcome morning or evening time. Suzanne the assistant manager what a fabulous hard working lady with always time to spare to talk and advise guests please keep up the team which we know will keep clients returning hope to see you all again one day .

An understated hotel. Pleasantly smaller than the some of the monstrously large hotels in the area. Personal service. Attentive staff. Excellent amenities. Excellent food choice & quality. Nice range of beverages. Room was clean and comfortable.

Perfect location with all rooms looking over the sand and sea Food exceptional - great variety and excellent quality - cooked by chefs with great attention to detail Comfy sunbeds with amazing views All staff extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble We have been coming to Jandia for over thirty years and it is disappointing we have only just discovered this hotel - we will certainly return

Excellent hotel with very good breakfast and dinner, perfect location. Nice view from the room. Terrace with swimming pool is very relaxing . We will stay there again. Nothing was problem. It is the best hotel in Morro del Jable. People from reception speak English -:)

This was the second year in row that I stayed at the XQ El Palacete. I travel a lot for business and leisure and I believe this is one of the best hotels in Europe. The reception staff was friendly, helpful, and welcoming. The chefs and dining room staff were first class. The food was excellent. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The view from the balcony was spectacular. When I go to the Canary Islands, this is the only hotel where I will stay. I'm already looking forward to next year's stay! Plus points: - very good although expensive dinner - comfortable rooms - excellent cleaning service But: - severely understaffed hotel: * waiters run around during dinner hectically * long check in and check out times * need to book a slot at dinner - uncomfortable and inflexible check out time at 11:00 - overall, rather expensive.
