"Accommodation is super convenient- comes with different types of sauna and onsen, and restaurants inside the hotel! The staff will set up futon in our room- affordable option for those who are looking for a ryokan experience. We also love the hotel breakfast! Feels v well nourished after that, esp after soaking in the onsen :) we also love the matcha senbei crackers that the hotel gave us and bought them at the souvenir store too. Highly recommend!"

Amazing
AAnonymous UserWe took an express bus from Osaka to Arima Onsen Station. Upon arrival, the hotel shuttle was conveniently waiting right next to the station to take us to the hotel. The hotel is nestled halfway up the mountain, offering a very comfortable environment. Both the outdoor and indoor public baths feature the famous Kinsen (golden) and Ginsen (silver) hot springs. The hotel service was excellent, and the breakfast spread was abundant. We also pre-booked the Japanese-style dinner, which was delicious and highly recommended.

AAnonymous UserMade the right choice to splurge more on an room with an indoor Onsen. It’s our first time at a Ryokan and it was truly and enjoyable experience for both myself and my husband.
Service was immaculate from the pick up from Arima station, check in, dinner, breakfast to transfer to the bus station.
We shall plan to return when the weather is cooler.

Amazing
GGuest UserTravel with family- kids and parents. The location is excellent, right next to the bus stop ( 1 min. Walk). easy to get around the little shopping street without much walking. 711 is right cross the street from the hotel. Staff are nice here, and helpful.
The hot springs are good enough. Nothing fancy, not too big. Three hot springs - gold, silver. One outdoor hot spring.
There are some activities - music, and performance during the night right next to the hotel. The hotel is next to the road, but you can’t hear anything outside. Very quiet and relaxing.
Overall, good price for what you get.

Great
AAndrea ElijhaOverall, the experience was pleasant, with the only minor drawback being the price, which was a bit steep. While I had hoped for a more traditional Japanese garden and architecture, the hotel itself leans towards a modern Japanese aesthetic.
Visiting in summer, gazing at the lush green mountains through the window truly feels like a picturesque framed view, and the hot springs were wonderfully rejuvenating. However, I suspect autumn would be the most opportune time to visit, to witness the mountains ablaze with crimson foliage (assuming the trees aren't evergreen).
A misunderstanding arose at check-out due to unclear communication regarding payment policies between the booking platform, the hotel, and myself. The hotel insisted they had not received the online payment and demanded offline payment for a range of services, including breakfast, dinner, taxes, accommodation, and private onsen. As a customer, I initially thought I was being double-charged, as I had already made a payment online. The total cost for the two-day stay was approximately 221,110 JPY, which converts to roughly 11,000 HKD or CNY.
Upon immediately contacting Trip.com's customer service, they confirmed that our online payment covered both accommodation and meals, and advised that the hotel's demand for offline payment for these items was contentious and unnecessary. It was only later clarified that the payment made on Trip.com was merely a hold to secure the room and would be fully refunded upon check-out.

Great
GGuest UserThe hotel is in a good location, built on a mountain, with a good view from afar. The public lounge area is very comfortable, the rooms are spacious, and the food and beverage services are very professional. There are ********* lady clerks who can serve in Chinese and are very friendly to Chinese tourists.
However, as a hot spring hotel, this one has two fatal flaws.
First, the hotel has only one hot spring bath, and the size of this public bath is very small. If it is placed in other hotels, it may only be enough for a private bath. If you focus on the hot spring experience and want to soak in a large bath, this one may not be the first choice.
Secondly, the hotel is a pure wooden building with poor sound insulation, and the window of the hotel room faces the generator, which will continue to make huge noise at night. Even wearing earplugs can't stop it, which makes it difficult for me to fall asleep all night.
Although I have a good impression of the room and service, I am sorry that the above two defects really affect the experience of hot spring healing. If it can be improved, it will be perfect.

Great
GGuest UserOur stay was absolutely fantastic. Every single staff member was incredibly friendly, and the room itself was very comfortable. The traditional Japanese-style room (washitsu) was a particularly charming touch. Both dinner and breakfast were exquisitely prepared, and the onsen (hot spring) was wonderfully relaxing. We stayed with my parents and children, and everyone in our group was thoroughly delighted.

Very Good
TtinkeeI stayed at this hotel after looking for a hotel with dinner and hot springs. Dinner is a course meal, and the sukiyaki I had that day was the best meat I've ever had in my life👍👍 Breakfast was buffet style, with various foods, bread, rice, etc., and most of all, you can grill fish(?) yourself on a grill and make tofu. The tofu was really delicious!! The hot springs were both gold and silver, and although it was like a public bathhouse, it was nice because there weren't many people, so I was able to enjoy it leisurely. I recommend Arima Onsen because you can enjoy gold and silver hot springs at a reasonable price, and the breakfast and dinner are also delicious.

__WeChat44144****Facilities: Normal, what a hotel should have.
Hygiene: Normal, the overall hygiene of the room is fine, the public area is not so clean, it may be due to the weather.
Environment: Need to climb the mountain, take care if you have large luggage. The courtyard is not well maintained.
Service: The service is actually a bit confusing, because I occasionally heard the front desk speak Chinese, but whenever I talked to her, it was English and Japanese, which I couldn't understand.
