SongluThe location is excellent, very close to Tonsai Pier. Upon exiting the pier, there's a staff member holding a sign waiting for guests. After confirming our names, they helped us with our luggage to the hotel, and they were very enthusiastic whether we tipped or not. ❤️🔥
The hotel isn't very large overall, but it has everything you need. There are many restaurants on the island for breakfast, so I booked a room without breakfast. Otherwise, eating the same breakfast for three days would be monotonous. You can buy the buffet breakfast directly at the front desk for 300 baht per person, and it ends at 10:30 AM. We tried it once, and the variety wasn't extensive, but the taste was decent. I recommend trying a flat white ☕ – it's very aromatic! The front desk ladies we encountered were all very friendly and provided service with a smile. 🙂💯
It's truly something else to experience two power outages on the island; it got unbearably hot in the room. The pool isn't big but is very clean, and there are lounge chairs on the lawn. If I had to pick a flaw, it would be that the shower 🚿 in our room (501) had very slow water pressure. Other than that, everything was great; it was a very satisfying stay! 👍🏻

PitOliveThe rooms are clean and spacious, with separate bathrooms and toilets. All amenities are provided. There's ample parking with security staff. There's also a swimming pool, and during my stay, they even had a foam party. The breakfast is a standard hotel buffet with a good variety of choices and delicious food. The staff are friendly and cheerful, offering great service. The hotel is conveniently located not far from Ao Nang Beach, with many shops and restaurants nearby.

Adanaan ChalacholWe stayed for just one night while visiting my in-laws. We were looking for a hotel with a good pool area for the kids, and it definitely met our expectations.
We arrived around 8 p.m., and the lobby was quite busy with guests heading out for dinner. Even so, check-in was quick and efficient. I was pleasantly surprised that the receptionist personally escorted us to our room, especially considering how busy the front desk was at the time.
The staff were kind and immediately connected with the kids, which made us feel very welcome. The room was the first real “wow” moment of the stay. It was spacious, clean, and offered a lovely mountain view.
The next day, the kids spent most of their time at the pool. The pool staff were especially friendly and helpful. The water was a little cold because of the rain the night before, and it was quite windy, but that didn’t stop the kids from having a great time.
Check-out was just as smooth as check-in. The bell staff even took the time to ask about our trip and chat with guests, which was a nice personal touch.
I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable, family-friendly place at a reasonable price. The location is also excellent, with plenty of local food options nearby.

Guest UserI booked the Ocean Suite, which required climbing a rather steep hill, but that wasn't an issue for me; it was good exercise. The breakfast was incredibly rich and varied, and every evening, the turndown service included different candies and a sweet handwritten message on a leaf. The location is very convenient, with a 7-Eleven right outside and plenty of restaurants and night markets nearby.

It's a long read, brace yourselves!
We stayed in Vipa Tropical Resort for 5 nights and the trouble started right when we moved in. They showed us to the room, which was the a bungalo next to the pool. It looked nothing like the pictures of the room we booked. So I went to the reception and said ”that doesn't look like our room”. After some debate (we were told that they are fully booked and, in reality, this was an upgrade) they took us to Superior room #113. At first glance, it was the room that we booked, but then... things started to come to light... All firnuture was old and beaten down. Literary! There were bits and whole pieces missing or broken. So I made a complaint to Trip.com and demanded to either manage the situation or get me a full refund. While they promised to resolve the issue whithin an hour, we went out into town and when we got back reception was already closed (not a 24h service), so we went to our room, decided to ”sleep on it”, pulled the cover from the bed... it was stained and the blanket was dirty, like it wasn't changed from previous stay. Another call to support and there was nothing that could do about it, but to offer to wait until morning. We spent the night cramped on the couch. In the morning I went to the reception, called the lady into thr room and said ”I don't care about the furniture, but at least the sheets have to be white and clean and crisp”. She tried to tell me that those are clean, just the laundry that they use isn't doing a good job.... Again, we went out for the day and by the time we got back the sheets were white, clean and crisp. And Trip.com agent offered us some coins ”for the trouble”. After night 4, there was a knock on the door and we were offered to look at the room #114... And it was PERFECT! Just next door. The bed was clean, the furniture was brand new, the shower had strong and hotter water. Why, oh why?!?! Oh yeah, they were fully booked and just moved people around....
Besides, all the trouble, the nature around is stunning. Very green and quiet. And the cliff massively hanging above is nothing but spectacular, but... that's where the good part ends.
P.S.: There waa a ”do not disturbe” sign on our door. And yet, when we got back from our day trip, there were towels and TP and two bottles of water sitting on the couch. Quite disturbing, concidering there's no safe deposit box in the room
Not going to stay there again.

Shamila BashirWe recently celebrated our wedding anniversary at the Holiday Inn Resort Krabi Ao Nang Beach by IHG, staying on a room package that included breakfast for five days.
Overall, we had a lovely stay, but there were a few things worth sharing—especially for fellow Muslim travellers.
We had assumed the breakfast buffet would be fully halal-friendly. While there were halal options available, pork was also served, so do keep that in mind if that’s important to you.
The biggest frustration was the breakfast package itself. Although we had prepaid for all five days, the hotel had no record of it. Every single morning we had to explain that breakfast was included, which became quite irritating. Thankfully, after raising the issue for the third time, the team finally resolved it. As a kind gesture, they treated us to drinks at one of their restaurants, which we appreciated.
A special anniversary touch was also a little confusing. Mr. Yah mentioned that a small cake would be delivered to our room, but it never arrived. On our final day, we received a brownie instead—perhaps that was the “small cake” he was referring to. That said, we absolutely loved the beautiful welcome message arranged on our bed when we arrived. It made us feel very special.
Our daughter, Ava, had the best time! She absolutely loved the Kids Club and the mini water park, which kept her entertained for hours and made the holiday even more enjoyable for the whole family. The resort’s layout took a little getting used to. It’s spread across multiple levels, so navigating around was slightly confusing on the first day. After that, it became much easier. However, families with strollers or anyone with mobility challenges should be aware that moving between the different levels can be a bit of a challenge.
Despite a few hiccups, we genuinely enjoyed our stay. The staff were friendly and tried to make things right when issues were raised, and the resort offers a great atmosphere for families. With a few improvements in communication and record-keeping, the experience would have been even better.

This is a natural oasis. We were immersed in nature the moment we stepped in. The resort beautifully co-exists with its surroundings, which we absolutely loved.
If you are booking, do keep in mind that the resort is built on hills, so you would need to wait for the shuttle to travel to and from different areas within the property.
The room was extremely clean with no complaints at all. However, since the resort is located in the hills and surrounded by nature, there were ants and insects attracted to the lights, especially at night. Because of this, we could only really enjoy the outdoor jacuzzi during the daytime.
There are also monkeys and monitor lizards around the resort, although I only spotted two monitor lizards during our stay.
The in-house restaurant and pool were very good as well and added to the overall experience.
The whole place feels very remote and peaceful — truly the kind of destination that helps you disconnect, relax, and heal.

RenataRCentara Life Phu Pano has the infrastructure to be a 5-star property, but unfortunately the level of service and attention to detail falls well short of that, making it feel more like a 3-star experience.
The positives first: the pool is fantastic and was one of the main reasons we chose this hotel. The location is also very convenient, with plenty of restaurants and shops within walking distance. The longtail boat ticket booth for Railay and the nearby islands is about a 20-minute walk (or just a short, inexpensive Grab ride away). The hotel also offers a shuttle, although the schedule didn’t fit our plans, so we never used it.
Our room was on the small side but comfortable enough. However, the biggest issue was the air conditioning, which automatically shut off every two hours throughout the night. We reported this to reception three separate times during our four-night stay. Each time we were told maintenance had checked it, but the problem was never resolved, forcing us to wake up repeatedly every night to turn it back on.
Service was inconsistent throughout our stay. One afternoon, housekeeping cleaned our room but forgot to leave any towels. We informed reception, spent about two hours at the pool, and returned to find that nothing had been delivered. We had to go back to reception a second time and explain that we wanted to shower immediately and could not wait any longer. Even then, we were asked to wait in the lobby until someone finally brought us two basic towels. This simply shouldn’t happen.
Another example of the lack of attention to detail was a plate of leftover food left outside a room, right next to a staff area, that remained in the corridor for three days. It was only removed after we informed reception.
On the positive side, the kettle in our second room wasn’t working, but it was replaced promptly once reported.
Overall, I would stay here again if the price is right, mainly because of the excellent pool and convenient location. Just don’t expect the level of service normally associated with the Centara brand.
Local tips: We highly recommend Image Wash for laundry—their industrial machines wash and dry everything in about 45 minutes. For affordable and delicious Thai food, Dee Dee Restaurant on the main road became one of our favorite spots.

SyeedThe hotel was beautiful and the staff was so kind. We had a two storey room with a private pool. The breakfast buffet was very nice and there was a variety of food. There were many halal food places, massage shops and tourist advice places close to the hotel. We requested a floating basket for breakfast and it was beautifully decorated and served. Unfortunately, the water in the shower was sometimes too cold and the sink kept getting blocked but the staff managed to deal with it quite quickly. We loved the hotel.

The hotel owner is very helpful and friendly. She even upgraded our room without extra cost .

Staff is very friendly too.
