"The Hidden World's gentle breeze carried the fresh scent of lemongrass, drifting into my dreams. Everything about our stay here was absolutely impeccable. A huge thank you to Khun Sabai for their thoughtful care and attention; the concept of 'feeling right at home' was perfectly embodied here. Our room was meticulously cleaned and tidied at least twice daily. Every time we returned, we were greeted by delightful little surprises from the Hidden World staff. The intricate towel art, like the little elephants, and a hand-drawn picture of my girlfriend and me were incredibly touching and brought us so much joy. The Sritang restaurant was undergoing renovations, so we enjoyed all our meals at Jampoon restaurant. Over three days, we savored a wide variety of authentic Thai cuisine. Simply put, it was all incredibly delicious! The hotel offered a complimentary daily island excursion to Red Island every morning at 9 AM, but as a late riser, I unfortunately missed out! An absolutely wonderful experience! Highly, highly recommend!"

"The scenery is absolutely stunning, and the beach is incredible! The forest environment is very tranquil; I got lost every day, and there were even cute lemurs~ The room was also excellent, very spacious and tidy, with a Southeast Asian decor style. The hotel service was also great, with plenty of activities, and the breakfast and afternoon tea were very good. The hotel's cave restaurant and Thai restaurant were surprisingly delicious, and combined with the scenic views, it offered fantastic value for money! The only issue is that the round-trip transportation costs extra and is quite expensive, but I still absolutely love this hotel and would definitely come back if I get the chance."

"Our stay at Banyan Tree was truly exceptional from start to finish. The excellent service began even before we officially checked in. We arrived early and requested an early check-in, but our reserved room was not yet ready. Instead of simply asking us to wait, the hotel kindly arranged another room for us to relax in until our booked accommodation was prepared. This thoughtful gesture immediately made us feel welcomed and set the tone for a wonderful stay. Throughout our trip, every restaurant provided outstanding service. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was beautiful, and every meal was a pleasure. The beach was stunning, clean, and well maintained, making it a perfect place to relax. We stayed in a 2-Bedroom Pool Villa, and the view was absolutely breathtaking. The villa was spacious, beautifully designed, and impeccably maintained. The swimming pool was clean and inviting, and every detail of the property reflected the high standards of the resort. What impressed us most was the staff. Everyone greeted us warmly with genuine smiles and kindness. Their hospitality made us feel truly valued throughout our stay. Honestly, we could not find a single fault. Banyan Tree made our trip incredibly memorable and happy. If there were an option to give 10 stars, we would gladly do so."

"Upon arriving to Tonsai pier on Phi Phi Island I was afraid of an overcrowded beach packed tourist spot, we secured a longtail straight away and were taken to Saii resort about a 30 min boat ride. It does take some effort or time I should say to get there from Krabi, Koh Lanta, or Phuket but very worth it. We came from Koh Lanta on a ferry. 1.5 hours and then longtail to resort .5 hours. We were welcomed in the beautiful open air surroundings, check in was a breeze. The staff was friendly and helpful and even made arrangements for our departure from the island to the airport in Krabi for days later. The resort is clean a beautiful. We had a Sea View Villa which was fabulous, clean, newly remodeled, and large. Huge front porch to sit on steps from the beach or pool. It was very adult, a quiet easy family or couple environment. Lot's of sitting areas, a seating area at night to listen to a local band. Food at the resort was good but as expected somewhat expensive, food and village out in town was quaint nice and much cheaper. We enjoyed a bit of both. The views, pristine water, serene environment, clean rooms, wonderful staff....spent three days at Saii, and I would go back again. Pics on the website were pretty accurate. If you going to go, which you should, stay for a few several days. It's worth it."

"We stayed here for 4 nights. The hotel exudes luxury and tranquility with a beautiful view. Despite being right in the city center, you wouldn't know it. Upon check-in, there was a misunderstanding regarding whether our booked room would have a bathtub. After some discussion, we were offered an upgrade to a room with a Jacuzzi on the balcony! The room is fully equipped with all amenities, and drinking water is refilled daily. The staff at this hotel are incredibly friendly. Everyone goes out of their way to give you an unforgettable experience. There are 3 different saltwater pools and 2 restaurants. You can also order food and drinks via a QR code to be delivered to your sun lounger by the pool. The breakfast is very extensive and delicious. You can enjoy the view during breakfast both indoors and outdoors. There's also a fitness room with brand-new equipment. I honestly can't think of anything negative about this hotel, and if we're ever in Krabi again, we will definitely be back!"

"Excellent hotel with very good service! The staff were friendly, helpful, and even willing to help us with packing, which really surprised and impressed us. The hotel pool was very cool and relaxing, especially swimming in the morning. The room was clean, comfortable, and everything was prepared nicely. Overall, it was a wonderful stay and highly recommended"

"Overall: If you can book it for under 1000, it's a great value-for-money five-star hotel. The breakfast is amazing, definitely choose a rate that includes it. Service: Couldn't ask for more. From check-in, everything was excellent. We received welcome snacks upon arrival, and every evening there were bedtime treats (two macarons, haha). Environment: Located right on the main street of Ao Nang, which makes getting around very convenient. There's a 7-Eleven just a few minutes across the street. Even better, the popular Pu massage is right next door, and their laundry service is cheap and convenient to use. Facilities: If you don't look too closely, it seems like a new hotel. But if you do, the interior finish is a bit rough around the edges, though it's perfectly functional. Cleanliness: Similar to the above – it generally looks clean. However, one day I happened to see staff cleaning a room, and the broom was placed right on top of the complimentary water bottles provided for each room… If you're particular about this, you might want to buy your own bottled water. Other: The hotel has its own app, and you can also book various day trips through the front desk, which is quite convenient."

"We had an overall enjoyable stay at Sofitel in Krabi, with a few areas that could be improved—especially given the expectations of a five-star property. The location is a clear highlight. The beach is calm and relatively private, without the usual crowd of boats, which made for a very relaxing environment. The breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety and consistently good quality. The overall decor of the lobby and restaurants was also beautifully done, creating a pleasant and refined atmosphere for both breakfast and dinner. However, service was somewhat inconsistent. Room service could be slow at times, and on a few occasions, items like trash left outside the room were not cleared promptly. There were also communication lapses—for example, we had requested assistance to coordinate with an elephant sanctuary, but the message was not properly followed through between staff members. There were also minor maintenance issues, such as a non-functioning balcony light, which we chose not to escalate but would have expected to be addressed proactively at this level. For a family room, we expected more thoughtful child-friendly design. Simple things like a stool for children to reach the sink were missing, which made basic routines unnecessarily difficult and less safe. The pool facilities were decent but not outstanding, and cleanliness could be improved. In particular, the kiddie pool had visible debris and bugs, which made it less comfortable for young children. We also found the pool safety setup confusing and somewhat concerning. There were clear warnings stating that there are no lifeguards and that parents are responsible for supervision. However, there was consistently a staff member seated by the pool under a shaded area, appearing like a lifeguard but not actively monitoring the pool. This created a misleading impression and could give families a false sense of security. During our stay, we also witnessed a situation where a child became stuck under part of the pool obstacle structure, and assistance had to be actively requested from nearby staff. While the situation was resolved, it reinforced our concern that supervision and safety measures could be more proactive. Given the number of safety warnings posted around the pool, we were surprised that no trained lifeguard was present, especially as the current setup may give families a false sense of supervision. One of the main drawbacks was the pricing structure. Many services and items felt excessively priced, including: • Food at the on-site restaurants (significantly higher than comparable options outside the resort) • Transport and excursion arrangements (e.g., speedboat pricing well above market rates) • Activity rentals, such as the Sub Blue underwater scooter (350 THB++ for 30 minutes), which felt disproportionately expensive • Additional charges for small requests, including delivery fees for food within the property These added costs created a sense of being “nickel-and-dimed,” which detracted from the overall experience. Overall, while we appreciated the beautiful location, excellent breakfast, and well-designed spaces, we felt that service consistency, family-friendliness, safety clarity, and value for money could be improved to better align with five-star expectations."

"This was the best travel experience of my trip! Everything was seamless, from emailing to book restaurants and arrange airport pick-up, to the check-in process itself. The ladies at the front desk were incredibly warm and provided excellent service. They even offered a complimentary car ride to the hotel next door the following day, which was such a thoughtful touch. The room was absolutely impeccable, with a beautiful wooden aesthetic. Given the natural environment, there tend to be more mosquitoes, but they thoughtfully provided mosquito repellent on the first day. As for the restaurants, I dined at The Arundina Restaurant for both meals. The staff there were so enthusiastic and even offered to take photos for me. One young lady with big eyes particularly stood out; I regret not getting her name. Dining while watching the sunset was simply divine! The hotel also offers many activities, most of which are free to join, including island-hopping tours. All in all, this was a perfect trip, and I'll definitely be back in Krabi next time. -Sonia"

"A super nice hotel that really stood out! The pool and beach had everything we needed for a perfect vacation. My kids had a blast. The large garden is great for photos, and it's suitable for older folks too. There are two restaurants for breakfast, and the overall experience was good. There were very few Chinese guests, mostly Europeans, which was great for my kids to practice their English."
