Courtyard by Marriott New York JFK Airport

John F. Kennedy International Airport
Everyone was amazing. My connecting flight home (after a LONG flight from Eastern Europe) was cancelled. I booked on the app and checked in within an hour. My room was so comfortable. I was too exhausted to go out to get food so I got something from downstairs. It was delicious! Special thanks to Michelle who got me sorted out at check in and to George for picking up my bags and taking me back to the airport. Highly recommend!
Courtyard by Marriott New York Manhattan/Chelsea

Chelsea
The transportation is convenient, the surrounding environment is good, the room is slightly small, clean and comfortable, breakfast is considered self-help, the result is a single point downstairs, each room for 30 nights.
Courtyard by Marriott New York Manhattan/ Fifth Avenue

Times Square
A typical average Marriott should get a typical average rating, but the staff at this hotel raises the rating. The average staff member has been at this hotel more than 20 years, and their experience shows. This good, solid, clean, hospitable hotel is popular with families and tourists. Nice and quiet. Do not expect any sort of view, unless you like looking into other people's apartments across the alley. Better location than I expected; easy bus route and subway access. Do NOT drive your car into Manhattan if you can avoid it. I could not avoid it. There is no place to park while registering, other than curbside. I double-parked, ran inside and let the valet deal with the gigantic dump truck stuck behind me honking his horn. Just pay the extra money and let the valet deal with your car. Tipping is appropriate, but the staff is not snobby about it and I had to run after the valet to hand him $10.
Courtyard New York Manhattan/Upper East Side

Upper East Side
It is still 20 minutes walk from Central Park. Fortunately, the Upper East Side is quiet, much better than the bustling time square. When you come back late at night, there is no tramp to sleep in the street. It is also convenient to go out and take the subway to play uber. The hotel itself is quite old, the room is compact, the bathroom is slightly crowded, the most painful thing is that the old house has a large air-conditioning sound, and the room has to be turned off to sleep at night. Overall worth recommending, Buddhism selection
Courtyard New York Manhattan/Midtown East

Midtown
It may have been upgraded, the room is extra large and the facilities are complete. The location is also very good, downstairs is the subway station, convenient to JFK airport, only 10 minutes to the central railway station. There are supermarkets and restaurants in the surrounding area, and there is a place to eat breakfast in the distance. The lighting in the room is not enough, and the bath water can be bigger.
Courtyard New York Manhattan/Times Square

Times Square
The location of this hotel is the main reason to stay here. The hotel is close to transit, shopping, restaurants, The Port Authority Bus Terminal and Bryant Park. My room had 2 double beds. The bed was very comfortable. One of the elevators was out of service during my 3-day stay. I had noticed this same issue with one of the elevators not working on previous stays so this seems to be an ongoing issue. Since the hotel has 33 floors and many many rooms this presents a problem for guests. The wait in the lobby is very long for an elevator and when trying to return to the lobby from one's room the wait is also very long due to only 2 elevators being in service. The elevators are VERY SMALL which further exacerbates this problem. The room definitely needs to be renovated and is showing its age. There were cracks in the ceiling, the metal pull/handle on the heavy sliding wood door to the bathroom was loose and coming off, the water did not drain properly in the bathroom sink and the tub/shower combination. The TV did not work. George, the engineer, quickly fixed the sink/tub drain issue and replaced the sink stopper which also was not working. He let me know that if there was anything else needed, to let him know as this is what he was there for. He overheard my call to the Front Desk letting them know the remote did not turn on the TV and offered to help. He found out the TV was unplugged and upon plugging the TV back in , the remote now worked. The tub/shower combination only has a glass partition covering half of the opening so when taking a shower, water easily sprays out onto the floor creating a wet mess. Very poor design for closing off a shower area that consistently gets lots of water directed out of the tub/shower area! Miguel, at the Front Desk, was professional and friendly and my main point of contact. Why are the above maintenance and repair items not checked periodically to make sure that a guest upon checking into a room will not have to spend unnecessary time out of their vacation handling these basic items during their stay? This was an inconvenience to me and took valuable time out of my short 3-day stay. Very disappointed with my stay at this Marriot. As a Marriott Bonvoy member I expected much more and a better overall experience!
