Travelers Reviews of New York Hotels

DoubleTree by Hilton New York JFK Airport
7.6/543 Reviews
John F. Kennedy International Airport
The parking was valet and mandatory. At least the valet was nice. The concierge was weird and did not seem to understand my questions. This was the same for all the people behind the counter. Water in the sink was brown from time to time. Overall, it was okay for a 1 night stay.

Laguardia Airport
Is this a hotel near the airport? I just wanted to be close to it. The room was average. The shuttle bus was quite convenient. Anyway, I just slept and left. Overall, I was not disappointed or surprised.

Wall Street - Financial District
The room is nice and spacious. Everything in the room is very clean too! Most importantly, the location of the hotel is really good. But the elevator isn’t that great. It takes way too long to wait for the lift.
DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel New York City - Chelsea
7.8/5120 Reviews
Chelsea
This hotel is average except for its good location. The service and facilities are particularly bad. The front desk is slow to check in. They are still not very skilled at checking in prepaid rooms and there is no smile at all. The two elevators are small and always crowded. One of them broke down. The breakfast is OK, simple but with fresh fruits and good ingredients.
Doubletree by Hilton New York Times Square West

Times Square
Decent experience, location was nice. However, the water system was disappointing as water was constantly cloudy even after complaining. Rooms were very small as well, which is although understandable since it’s manhattan. Staffs were friendly though, which was nice.
Double Tree by Hilton New York Times Square South

Times Square
Things are very expensive in New York, and the rooms you can book at this price are not very big. There is only a little space left after putting the double bed, and the window can see the wall of the opposite building. It takes about 10 minutes to walk to Times Square, which is not very close. But it's very close to the Penn Station subway station, which takes 3-4 minutes to get there. It's not far by subway to reach Manhattan's attractions. The hotel is in the center of Manhattan. Two bottles of water were provided when we checked in. We stayed for 4 nights, but they couldn't provide them after that. They said they would charge $5.50 for each bottle. There is room cleaning service every day, and I left a tip beside the bed.
