Location was superb, next to the main subway station. The concierge staff was very friendly. They need to check that you're a guest before you can walk in to the hotel - this is probably because their lift does not enable guest only access to each floor - you do not need a card to go up to any floor. They charge a $39.99 destination fee and give you a $15 market value to buy food everyday.. (500ml water for $7.5, plain bagel for $5, ham and cheese bagel for $18...) They charge $4/bag for baggage storage after you check out.. Other than these 'small' charges, everything else is good.

Our best hotel in NYC - very satisfied with the people who work here and also the service.. I would like to stay here again and in other countries I always liked Westin but the recognition of the brand image has been better!! I give 6 stars out of 5!

The hotel is in a good location and has convenient transportation. It is very close to the United Nations headquarters and can be reached by foot. The breakfast is also relatively reasonable. I will continue to stay here next time.

Great hotel! Everything went great
Booking was done through Booking with full prepayment
Upon check-in they took a deposit - returned it 10 minutes after check-out
The hotel room is huge, which is very convenient if you come for a couple of weeks and sometimes want to have a good time in the room, taking a break from the bustle of the city.
A large TV, maybe old, but the picture quality is good - we watched a movie via an HDMI cable from a laptop (we always carry the cable with us)
Leaving a suitcase without checking in costs $ 10 per day, we left it 2 days before check-in, which turned out to be cheaper than storage services, since we had an evening check-in and the services would have counted three days.
Everything is super in the rooms - in addition to the large space of the room itself, I will also note the spacious shower cabin with a shower head (which is important for tourists from Europe and the CIS), the presence of a dressing room and a safe.
There were not enough glasses in the rooms, but we asked at the reception and they gave us disposable tableware - cups and spoons.
Wi-Fi works great!
The staff was nice and helpful
It was cool in the room - the air conditioner did not give heat, but on the contrary, cold air came from it (although it was turned off), but we fixed it by placing a heater right next to it and it heated the air, making the temperature in the room comfortable! The heater was already in the room.
The location of the hotel is also excellent, it is a quiet area, but the Grand Terminal is a few minutes away, and all the key attractions of Midtown are within walking distance. It is convenient to get to all places from the hotel, there is also a Ferry stop nearby, from where you can sail to the Brooklyn areas and to Wall Street
We will definitely come back here again, especially if the prices do not increase

The location is ok, but there’s no subway stations nearby, so you need to go to Central Terminal Station as the closes place to take it. Or walk, which is in general OK, unless it’s raining, 😁. The room is fantastic, but the general conditions of the hotel let you know that it’s an old one. Also, I was charged extra in the hotel, what I was not made aware of. They give you back part of it as a “credit” to spend in THEIR cafe, which is OK, but I rather spend the money somewhere else, specially because I booked the room without breakfast because I don’t eat too much in the morning and, therefore, it’s a waste of money to pay for it at hotels in a city like NY.

Take Newark Airport Express for $ 18 from Newark Airport for 40 minutes, get off at Bryant Park Station and walk for 5 minutes to the hotel. I ’m a short-term business travel, so I value these five points: (1) The location of the hotel is very close to the exhibition I am going to, a 15-minute walk, (2) the price is cheap, (3) clean, (4) there are Breakfast, (5) 24-hour front desk service. Bed linen and other items are changed every day, even if I did not request it. Although it is a public toilet, it is right next door and clean. Breakfast is typical American: instant coffee, instant cocoa, tea, bread (cheese, jam), biscuits, fruits (banana, apple). I travel a lot so I can adapt to it. Some Chinese people may not be used to it. 5-15 minutes walk from the hotel can reach the nearby famous New York landmarks, such as: New York Library, Times Square, Javits Center, Empire State Building, Penn Station, Metropolitan Museum and so on. Overall, the price is very good, if the budget is low, it is recommended to try this hotel. The only regret is that my room is on the second floor, near the road, and it is lively at night. My next business trip to New York may still consider this hotel. If you are traveling with your family, the hotel also has a four-bed room, and the bathroom is for exclusive use. Consumption in New York is very expensive. For example, steak dinner in New York costs $ 200 for two people and New Jersey only costs $ 50.

Rooms are very small but hey it's New York you shouldn't be spending much time in it other than to sleep. Very clean facilities inside and out. Very surprised by the outside cleanliness. All the businesses took such good care of their outsides. My only disappointment was there wasn't a mini fridge or even a microwave in the room and my safe was missing a battery so didn't work.

It's the small room but enough for three. The location is pretty good. It's around Times Square so it's easy for us to walk around there. The problem is there is no space for changing the clothes in the bathroom so we have to go out from the shower room and take clothes on. When one person is taking a shower, other two were waiting in the lobby in our case. But we could check in before three and they kept our luggage after check out so this stay was pretty good.
Our all-suite hotel is in Times Square, surrounded by restaurants and a short walk from Broadway theaters and the subway system. The Empire State Building, Grand Central Terminal, Penn Station, and Madison Square Garden are all within a mile. We offer complimentary WiFi and breakfast, a fitness center, business center, and access to the Roof Top Lounge and Lobby Bar.
CCongqianyougenvsiji2025.01.16
The location is very convenient, 48th Street and 7th Avenue, and Times Square is right outside. The subway station is also very convenient, and there is not too much traffic when taking a taxi. Uber to Penn Station is about $30.
The room has a large bed and a sofa bed, which can accommodate 3 adults. There is a refrigerator, microwave, and dishwasher in the room, which can be used to heat up food.
There is no toothbrush and toothpaste in the bathroom, but there is a full set of hand soap, lotion, shampoo, shower gel, and even face soap and makeup remover wipes. This is a bit unexpected.
Breakfast is very convenient, with bread, bacon, milk, cereal, juice, fruit, coffee, and hot tea. This breakfast is quick and filling when traveling.
Daily Mandatory Destination Charge includes: Premium guest internet access; daily $10 food and beverage credit for use in all hotel outlets (Market excluded); City Bike rentals for two; daily $25 parking credit.
Tempo Times Square is located steps from world-famous theaters, restaurants and shops. Central Park, Radio City Music Hall, Rockefeller Center, and much more are just minutes from the hotel. I don’t think there could possibly be a better hotel in NY for location, value and friendly service. This was my fourth time staying there and it will be our NY hotel for our next trips. Only one tiny negative; the shower doesn’t have enough of a block to keep the water from leaking into the bathroom. I understand that there could be a trip hazard with more of a barrier, but a wet bathroom is not perfect. It did get better when I aimed the shower head against the far wall, but why? There must be a better solution.

Excellent
KKitrynThis hotel is immaculate and absolutely everybody is above and beyond pleasant. Though not directly affiliated with the hotel, Inexpensive, super clean and very easily accessible parking is a two minute walk away at 25 Kent St. We paid $64 for 2 1/2 days of parking. The room was incredible. Exposed brick walls with super high ceilings, the bathroom had a huge tub and a wonderful shower. Pro tip: if traveling with someone that you do not want to see you naked, understand that it is not a one-way mirror over the bar and you absolutely CAN see into the shower While someone is showering. Luckily I was with my daughter, so this was not a real issue. The restaurant within the hotel and the Ramen place directly next-door are both wonderful. I did not make it to the rooftop bar this time but since I absolutely will stay at this hotel every time I come to visit I will check it out next time! The room was extremely quiet, temperature was easy to control. Now, a little too much honesty, I am an extremely “sensitive” person, and resting and hearing so much from the second I stepped into this hotel. I was never scared, as I definitely don’t typically get scared, but I had numerous very genuine and very obvious things happen while I say that this hotel, such as seeing things walk across the hall in both my room and the hallway, in the main lobby bathroom someone walked into the bathroom and into the stall next to me, but never left, and when I looked, there was no one there, and I was in the shower. I could hear several men talking to each other as if they were right next to me. I was definitely not hearing people from another room. I also heard the door to the stair well open, which is right next to our room and I was right next to the door so when I looked, there was nobody there and I pulled it shut again. Just out of curiosity, as to what was there prior to the hotel, on the way home my daughter looked up the history to the hotel. Let’s just say it was very enlightening as to why i was experiencing so much activity in this hotel, especially on the third floor next to what I will assume would have been a fire escape at some point. It also may explain why the first thing that went through my mind when I opened the front door of the hotel and turned to my daughter and said “I’m surprised the hotel gets away with door opening inward. It goes against fire code. Anyway, You can look up the history yourself and understand all that I have said. :-) either way, a spectacular hotel at a decent price and a very safe and beautiful part of the city. I will definitely stay here again!
GGuest UserWe always stay at Marriott, although I rarely use my Bonvoy membership. I always book our hotel through trip.com. The fridge had a bottle of Coke that had been drank by the previous guest. The hair dryer bag is dusty.
Everything else looks good. They provide free water during check-in and a raincoat in case of rain.
The breakfast seems decent for the price.
JJanine7AMAZING value for money. The staff is super friendly and the guests are very international and social. The hostel offered lots of free activities every day. I was amazed by their sightseeing tours, yoga or karaoke. Amazing company and offering!
BBINBINExcept for an extra charge of $ 49 per person per day of the resort fee, this is not acceptable, and I hope to cancel it.
Good location, same building with park central. Manhattan club
Newly renovated, but the toilet and bathroom in the room are too small, only half the size of the Manhattan club
Breakfast was generous and dinner was negligible,
Opposite diagonally is Carnegie Hall, the subway station is right out, walk 10 minutes to times square 5 minutes to central park
15 minutes by subway to Wall Street,
If you can cancel the resort fee. I will book this hotel every time I go
Otherwise, I would still choose Manhattan club
Kkelvin0512To watch the US Open, it is actually most convenient to stay in Flushing, but the price is not as economical. It is convenient to walk in a zigzag pattern from the subway station, which takes about ten minutes at normal speed. The hotel entrance is not on the main street, but there is a supermarket and a pizza shop. There are many businesses near the subway station, and it seems to be six or seven stops to Flushing. The breakfast is the simplest kind of bread, eggs, milk, bacon and cereal. The room is quite new, but the area is not large. Overall, it is OK. Forgot to take pictures
AAnton26Great location….but that’s what you’re paying for.
Check in was fast and the staff were welcoming and friendly. There are umbrellas to use in the rainy weather and the front concierge staff are happy and greet you nicely.
The location is convenient- close to all main sites of NYC but just far away enough from the noise and bustle so you can have a peaceful night’s sleep. Air conditioning can be adjusted as our room got a little too cool for our comfort.
The luxury king room high floor itself is disappointing. Quite a bit more in cost compared to a standard king room, the room doesn’t have any fabulous views or even a bathtub that can accommodate someone comfortably. One website advertises the luxury king rooms have a ‘spa bath’. This is fact is not true and incorrect. Room slippers are very nice and there are enough towels for 2 people.
Pillows are too soft and the room furniture is tired-looking. Some peeling wallpaper as well indicating the need for a refit.
For the money, there’s no breakfast either and if you wish to extend your checkout after 11am, it’s $100 for 1-3 hours. A bit rich, considering you’re better off getting a lounge pass at the airport or simply go for a walk around this amazing city. To compensate, there’s an awesome diner 50m from the hotel that serves fantastic breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Bathroom products are lovely- Balmain and there’s only 1 bathrobe in the room, which I thought was strange, considering the booking was for 2 people. No minibar either… why is this?!
I would stay again simply because of the location but I would not pay for the luxury king room high floor again, as it’s not worth the money. Keep the location but take a standard room.
MmelI really like the Sheraton Hotel, this place is really very satisfying, highly recommend for a relaxing holiday, the service is quite good and friendly and very clean, and complete equipment will not disappoint
GGuest UserThe room we stayed in for the first two days was small, on a low floor, and had only one window facing the patio, so the room was not well lit. The order was changed to the 12th floor for the next seven days. The room was also larger and had windows on both walls. After opening the curtains, we could directly see the street view of W 71st Street and the view of Midtown, which felt good.
The loud sound of the air conditioner was the only unacceptable problem, but this is a problem that many two- and three-star hotels in New York have, so we can only tolerate it.
The quality of service varies from person to person. Some front desk staff are friendly and some have average service attitudes. There is not someone to clean every day. I cleaned it myself in the first few days. Later, I found that the sink was blocked. I called the front desk and someone was sent to fix it. In the following days, someone came to clean it continuously, so it is also important to make requests. Most of the service staff are of South American descent and speak Spanish. They may not be good at English, so communication is a bit difficult.
The hotel is in a prime location, close to Central Park and the 72nd Street subway station, with convenient transportation. It is a quiet place in the bustling Upper West Side of Manhattan. It is highly recommended in terms of cost performance.
Attached is the street view taken from a room on the 12th floor of the hotel and the hotel front taken from W72 Street.
AAshley NicoleThe hotel is in an excellent location. It’s very easy to get around by walking or hopping on the metro. The hotel staff were very kind and helpful, but the hotel itself is in need of renovations (as other reviews have stated). If the hotel were to make those renovations I would stay again.
JJaeStarI was a bit daunted by reviews when booking but was pleasantly surprised. Firstly, you get what you pay for (and a bit more). It’s a hostel with private rooms, not a hotel. Once you realize that, you manage your expectations. It is in a prime location next to Central Park and a short walk to Times Square. It is near a metro station and there are lots of stores and restaurants nearby. The room was adequate (I booked a single room). It was clean and comfortable. Inside the room was a small tv, a small refrigerator, a desk a twin bed and a small closet area. I wasn’t too concerned about the room because I didn’t intend to spend much time in there but it was comfortable enough for my stay. The bathrooms are shared but are privately used so you don’t actually share it with anyone while using. It was always clean and regularly checked (but of course as they are shared some people clear up after themselves better than others). There were several so I never needed to wait more than a few mins. The shower pressure was fine and the water temperature was perfect for me. Even though you pay for gym and facility use when you stay, I never used them so can’t comment on them.
The checkin and check out processes were easy. The staff were all friend and helpful. The building felt safe and I never felt worried about anything.
I don’t really have any negatives to comment on. There was a little noise at time from other residents but that’s beyond the control of the staff etc.
