Great hotel in a convenient location! The staff was friendly and helpful. Be mindful of the $40 tourist charge per day when you stay.
The only downside was our neighbour who decided to smoke in the room and loudly watch TV at 2 am but a member of staff sorted it out quickly!
We’ll be back next time we are visiting NY!

Location: 5/5
The Hyatt Grand Central New York is perfectly situated in the heart of Manhattan, directly connected to Grand Central Terminal. This prime location makes it incredibly convenient for travelers, offering easy access to public transportation, iconic landmarks like Times Square, Bryant Park, and the Empire State Building, all within walking distance.
Check-in & Service: 4/5
The check-in process is smooth, with friendly and professional staff ensuring a warm welcome. The front desk is efficient, but during peak hours, there may be a slight wait. The concierge is knowledgeable and helpful, providing excellent recommendations for dining and sightseeing.
Rooms: 4/5
The rooms are spacious by New York City standards, modern, and well-maintained. Comfortable beds, large windows, and blackout curtains contribute to a restful stay. However, some guests may find the decor a bit dated compared to other luxury properties in the city. The bathrooms are clean, though on the smaller side, which is typical for NYC hotels.
Amenities: 3.5/5
The hotel offers essential amenities like a fitness center, business center, and meeting spaces. However, there is no on-site restaurant or bar, which some travelers might miss. That said, the hotel’s proximity to Grand Central provides access to a variety of dining options.
Cleanliness: 4.5/5
Housekeeping services are thorough and timely. The common areas, including the lobby and hallways, are kept clean and well-organized. Guests consistently report a high level of cleanliness in the rooms.
Value for Money: 4/5
For its prime location and the comfort it provides, the Hyatt Grand Central offers good value for money. Rates can fluctuate significantly depending on the season, but the convenience of being so centrally located often justifies the price.
Overall Verdict
The Hyatt Grand Central New York is an excellent choice for travelers looking for comfort, convenience, and easy access to public transport. While it may not offer the ultra-luxury experience of higher-end properties, it provides a well-rounded, reliable stay in the heart of the city. Ideal for both business and leisure travelers, it’s a smart option for those who prioritize location.
Pros:
• Unbeatable location at Grand Central
• Spacious, clean rooms with comfortable beds
• Friendly and efficient service
Cons:
• No on-site restaurant or bar
• Room decor could use a refresh

I’m glad I found Pod 39 because it’s so near the Grand Central Station with an affordable price, though the room not big but just the right small size like me. The cleaner done their job well and and the rooftop bar is pretty and great skyline view especially at night. The staffs were friendly and helpful too. And best thing is they provide free walking tour at all Pod branch every twice per week and free coffee each morning. There’s eateries and shops nearby too. 😊

This is a great value for money accommodation.
If you are looking for a clean and reasonably priced accommodation in New York, I recommend it.
The bathroom and toilet are shared, but they are clean and not too crowded, so it is worth using considering the price.
However, it is a bit inconvenient when you need to go to the bathroom or need boiled water while sleeping.
The rooftop is fantastic, so it is good to buy a bagel nearby and eat it on the rooftop.

This is my third time staying here and every time it's amazing - the best value for money in Manhattan.
Large spacious rooms, all the amenities in the room (the only thing missing is cups or a tea/coffee maker, but that's not necessary!). Large spacious walk-in closets and showers. And great views (the photo shows the view from the window).
$150 deposit is returned the same day
Excellent soundproofing
I think this is my new favorite hotel
The location is also great - close to noisy areas, but in a quiet place, with many restaurants, cafes and shops nearby.

As an IHG member, I am glad I picked this intercon hotel to stay in for our NY vacation and my Carnegie Hall performance debut trip. This hotel is in central location and all staffs, from doormen, concierge, frontdesk and cleaners-- all were excellent! We'll use this hotel again if we come back to NY.

The doorman was very helpful in carrying the luggage, and the housekeeper on the 16th floor and the room service guy were very nice. The hotel environment is old, but the location is good, next to the LV hard case. The worst thing was that the front desk gave me the wrong room that I had booked in advance when I checked in. When I got to the room, I found it was wrong, so I called and changed the room.

My family liked this hotel very much. We gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because we felt there was room for improvement in every area. The room and hotel was very clean but there were some stains on the bedding and towels. The hotel was on 42nd street but just a little too far from the main action. The hotel provided good services but we had to call multiple times for towels. Overall we’d still recommend the hotel very highly.

We came to NY to celebrate my birthday and the staff surprised us and decorated the room with balloons and soda and snacks and towels folded like elefants. It was awesome!

YYIOUI read a lot of comments and chose this hotel. I really didn't choose the wrong one. The location is very good, whether it is a long-distance bus or subway, or take the airport bus to the airport, or want to go to the Grand Central Railway Station, very close. . . There is also Times Square. . . At the intersection of 41st Street and Madison Avenue, the door is small, mainly the name on the door is written in a special font, which made us not notice when we first went there. 200 meters away from the New York City Public Library, which is not 200 meters away from Fifth Avenue, it is not necessary. There are three types of rooms in the hotel, which are about 19, 25, and 33 square meters, and 19 is relatively small. I booked 25 for the second night, but the order information sent by Ctrip to the hotel was wrong. The first night I checked in was the 19 room. It was very late to react. The size of the room was wrong. I coordinated with the front desk and Ctrip. Ctrip immediately found the problem and made compensation, and moved to the largest room of 33 the next day. If it is a single person, the room of 19 is enough. For two people, the baggage can't be opened, and it can only be put to the bedside. In addition, in particular, after the store, the hotel charges a fee of 20 US dollars per day. This fee is breakfast, all-day coffee snacks, afternoon tea, which is very worthwhile. Especially afternoon tea, with cheese, fruit, a variety of small snacks, red and white wine and champagne. . . . In addition, this location is on 41st Street, when the 99th Street in Central Park in New York is basically a full 2km. I ran in the morning and ran another 10km in Central Park. I am very happy. Central Park is a must-see for everyone who loves sports. Running, cycling, and dog-walking are all very good. . .

李李源文先生The hotel is in a good environment and the service is very warm and thoughtful. Since we were staying during the Spring Festival, there were a lot of Chinese tourists in the hotel and it was very lively. The hotel is in a good location and the surrounding public transportation is very convenient.

KKenny_take0106It was a very nice classical style hotel!
Personally, I even felt a sense of luxury like the Ritz-Carlton in Osaka.
The location is within walking distance from Grand Central St, and you can get to Times Square by subway or taxi. The area around the hotel is very calm, similar to Nihonbashi and Kyobashi in Japan, and there are no shops like DELI or $1 Pizza. I think it's a location for adults.
Room facilities such as coffee maker and hair dryer are perfect, but refrigerator and mineral water are not installed.
Regarding the location, I think that the convenience and inconvenience will change depending on the purpose of stay, so I can not say anything, but the total evaluation is very high and it is a good hotel!

JJEFFREYZero hour 2000 per night Although it is a bit expensive, it is very convenient to go to Fifth Avenue for shopping. The service is very comprehensive. Although the room does not have a refrigerator, the room offers a refrigerator delivery service.

ZZHANJIAStayed for three nights, the general feeling is average.
Location: The location is very good and very convenient. It is across the street from Central Station, where you can take the subway to almost any place in New York. There also seem to be buses to and from LaGuardia and JFK airports, but haven't tried them. There are many places to eat, and there is no problem filling up the stomach, but there does not seem to be a particularly good restaurant.
Facilities: The hotel itself is very old, so the rooms are older. Although it is a room facing the street, the windows are too small and the light is always dim. The air conditioner in the room was too loud and had to be turned off while sleeping. Fortunately, I don't need air conditioning when I go. If it is summer, it is probably a big problem. Maybe it is an old relationship, the smell of the room is not very good, but fortunately, the windows can be opened a little bit for ventilation.
Service: I have only dealt with the front desk and was very friendly at check-in. Overall, I think it is quite satisfactory, there is nothing to be picky about, and there is nothing outstanding. Breakfast is average, not included in the room rate, needs a la carte, not many choices, average taste.
Compared to the price, I feel quite disappointed. However, this is the heart of New York, understand. Will not stay again.

YY123Location and facilities are great. Close to the subway station and they have a gym and a place for breakfast.
However, our room had a really strong smell that is coming from the carpet which smelled like bleach covering some vomit or stinky milk. It was so bad the minute you enter the room you can smell it. We tried opening the window for the whole night, the smell’s still here. Tried seek help from the front desk and they said they sent a machine to suck out the air in the room. But when we’re back to the room, it still stinks.
Also, the blanket for the sofa bed seems dirty, it has a lot of stains on it…

NNANIiiUnplanned trip to New York and we had to book hotel gor the very same night. Luckily we found 2 rooms here.
The location is just perfect. Too expensive and not so clean hotel rooms. The elevator was broken and the buttons too. Dusty everywhere. Regarding the room, it was just okay and I repeat it was dusty. The window was so muddy that we couldn’t see the view despite our room was with nice views (which we paid extra money for).
No parking was too exhausting.
