"The hotel is quite new, the room is very spacious with a nice mountain view (though) not facing the Meili Snow Mountain. Breakfast was alright, it was a typical Chinese breakfast. The service can be improved though. We had an issue with the toilet. When flushing the water was spraying everywhere onto the toilet seat, the toilet cover and the floor. We asked for a fix at the front desk and the man said he would come right away. After that we waited 30min and nobody showed. Only when we asked again did he remember. After that we asked for a clean after the toilet water was everywhere in the bathroom. We went on a small hike and for dinner for around 3h and when we came back home the bathroom was like before. They forgot that we asked for another clean. The cleaning lady also didnt know how to correctly clean a bathroom apparently. She only took dry towels and swiped over the surface for a few seconds and was done, also did she have an attitude when asking her to do it again more thoroughly. She then continued but not without gossiping about us with another staff member."

"This hotel is absolutely fantastic! The location is super convenient, right downstairs from Feilai Temple Snack Street, making it incredibly easy to go out and eat. I highly recommend a stall run by an 'A-jie' (older sister) – their yak meat skewers are absolutely delicious, the best I had in all of Shangri-La. I couldn't find anything as good later in Lijiang. I forgot the name of the place, but when you go there, they'll give you a complimentary cup of butter tea. Seriously, you have to check it out! I think it's the one that has a 'buy a few skewers, get a few free' deal, and the 'A-jie' is a local. The second-floor room I booked had a slight obstruction of the snow mountain view. I'd suggest that friends with a sufficient budget go straight for the fourth-floor snow view rooms – the view there is definitely amazing. I actually compared many hotels, like Bo X Jiang X or Snow Mountain Xing X, etc., and ultimately chose this one. I feel the overall experience here was top-notch. Some hotels, while having decent views, had rather poor room facilities, so this was the best after my comprehensive comparison. The underfloor heating in the room was incredibly powerful. Even though it was freezing cold outside, it was warm enough to wear a short-sleeved shirt indoors, which was super comfortable. You absolutely must visit the coffee shop on the hotel's top floor. The Meili milk tastes superb, and the accompanying butter tea is even more fragrant and mellow. In the morning, you can watch the 'sunlight on golden mountains' here with an unobstructed view – the scenery is breathtaking! After enjoying the snow view, having a warm cup of ginger tea is both warming and comforting. The experience is truly next-level, highly recommended! The complimentary breakfast's rice noodles were so delicious. More importantly, all the hotel staff were incredibly enthusiastic. After returning from sightseeing and heading up to my room, the front desk lady invited me to try on their ******* clothing, all free of charge. They looked ordinary at first, but I actually took some really beautiful photos at the hotel. It was truly wonderful~"

"The quality of a hotel is judged not only by its service during smooth times, but also by its attitude when problems arise. During my stay, we experienced unstable voltage, but the hotel's handling of the situation was exemplary! From the speed of response and efficiency in resolving the issue to the sincere communication, everything was impeccable. Minor imperfections in the facilities are inevitable, but such attentive and considerate service is rare. Kudos to their professionalism and sincerity! (The unstable voltage caused elevator malfunctions, and the staff proactively helped everyone in each room with their luggage.)"

"Firstly, this has to be one of the nicest places which I stayed at in Yunnan, or in China for that matter. You may be thinking that is price is good to be true, but this place performs well above what is to be expected of that price range. I was originally planning to stay elsewhere in Benzilan, but am very glad that I stayed here. The rooms are super spacious with high ceilings and wooden furniture. The view out of my window was very green and calming. The amenities were all well-maintained and very clean. The pictures really don't do the rooms the justice that they deserve. Secondly, and very importantly, the owner - a young Benzilan local who operates the hotel with his mother - is exceptionally kind, genuine and friendly. As a solo traveller, he helped organise transport, offered lunch, and even some of the local liquor. As far as service goes, this place remains unbeaten amongst all the places I've travelled in China. The hotel overlooks the mountains surrounding Benzilan. In the evening, you can peacefully sit outside the hotel on its elevated terrace and quietly watch the mountains as the sun goes down. I would not hesitate to stay again."

In high-altitude regions, the underfloor heating and oxygen supply were absolute ”lifesavers” for us. The owners, a local ******* couple, left a deep impression on all six of us with their warmth and authenticity. Their service was incredibly thoughtful, going far beyond what you'd expect from a typical guesthouse. Transportation is hassle-free: they offer complimentary pick-up and drop-off services, whether it's from the bus stop or round trips to the Feilai Temple observation deck in the morning and evening – just a phone call away. At the foot of the sacred mountain, a good guesthouse is not just a stopover; it's a window into the local warmth and culture. ”Meet Meili Yangqia別院”, with its wood, carpets, oxygen, and smiles, weaves a memorable tale of snow-capped mountains and warmth for weary travelers."

"This B&B was a wonderful experience. The owner was warm and welcoming, and the service was attentive and thoughtful, making it a truly heartwarming experience. The hotel also has charging stations, making it particularly convenient for self-driving travelers. Dining options are conveniently located nearby, and the owner proactively recommends some. The room was spacious and quiet. The king-size room was comfortable, with a separate bathroom, clean and tidy, and excellent privacy. The best part was the view from the window, which offered a panoramic view of half of Benzilan. The view was stunning, both the mountain and village scenery were breathtaking."

"Had an amazing stay at this mountain homestay. Personally, I think homestay is not the right name for it. It’s more of a luxury hotel experience on top of a mountain. Very lovely and friendly owner who got out of his way to find me some throat lozenges because I was having sore throat due to the dry air. Indeed, the 14km hike from Ninong to Yubeng is very tiring, but it is made up for as soon as we reached the hotel. It’s a perfect hotel for couples (or travelers) who wishes for adventures but also wants to have the luxury comfort of a good room, bed and food at the end of a long hike. Now we are spoilt as we will be using this experience as a benchmark for our next hiking + luxury stay adventures!"

"The room was very comfortable, with a simple and elegant design style, which made me want to stay a few more days, but I was forced to return due to my itinerary. But this is not the most important thing. The most important thing is that you will get to know everyone here, and they are your friends here. Behind every tile wall and every barley grass, when you stop, you will see things that are more beautiful than commercial scenery. "The hotel is super close to the observation deck, about a 3-minute walk away. What really stood out was how incredibly clean and cozy the room was. You could tell the hotel owner had turned on the underfloor heating beforehand because it was wonderfully warm when I walked in. The disposable toiletries were also really comprehensive and high-end, especially the toothbrush. It's rare for a hotel to even provide mouthwash! The oxygen supply equipment was also excellent. If you're looking for a place to stay, this hotel is definitely worth recommending – it's fantastic!"
