New Hotels in Melaka

"This hotel just opened two months ago, right by the sea near Portuguese Settlement. I didn't have high expectations initially, but I was so pleasantly surprised! The hotel is backed by the ocean, and there's a clean, beautiful pool right in the courtyard. The breakfast was rich and clean – especially the bread, which clearly wasn't pre-made, and the fruit was super fresh. It felt much more genuine than some of the five-star hotels in downtown Kuala Lumpur! Even at 9 or 10 PM, you could still order food from the hotel restaurant, and the quality here was genuinely high compared to outside options. This morning, the hotel even had a lion dance performance, which added to the festive atmosphere. The hotel manager really pays attention to service details, which is absolutely essential for a great hotel. Having a fresh, high-quality breakfast in the morning is a wonderful start to the day, and you can even swim in the pool after coming back at night. A Grab taxi to Jonker Street is only about 8-10 RM away. It's very quiet at night, with a gentle sea breeze and the pool. It reminded us of beautiful places we'd traveled to before and even brought back memories of my partner's hometown. Because of this, we spontaneously decided to extend our stay for two more nights. Highly recommend everyone to stay here! (The only minor thing to note is that the air conditioning in the rooms can be a bit noisy. Hopefully, they can improve this. It gets quite warm at night, so you need the AC, and it would be great if it didn't blow directly on you.) 1) The room cleanliness and linens were excellent; the towels were tumble-dried, and the sheets were neatly ironed. 2) The staff were warm and friendly. 3) The environment was outstanding, quiet, and beautiful. 4) The breakfast was exquisite and clean. The chicken sausage was the only one with a normal texture among the seven or eight hotels we've stayed at in Malaysia. The à la carte restaurant didn't disappoint either; you could tell the watermelon juice was fresh (many places serve overnight juice). Thank you to the hotel for their dedication, which made our vacation wonderful. If we ever return to Malacca, The Lisbon Malacca will definitely be our top choice."

"The hotel is located right at the entrance of Jonker Street. You can drive in during the day, but by around 5 PM, vendors start setting up stalls right outside. Jonker Street ends at the Red Square. Eating out is super convenient, and there are two convenience stores directly across from the hotel. Our room here was quiet, and the bedding was clean. The night shift staff, who speaks Chinese, was incredibly helpful and friendly, always proactively asking if we needed anything. I had booked train tickets from Tampin to Butterworth in Penang and asked if I needed to go to the station to print them out. To my surprise, he printed them for me on the spot, so I just needed to scan the QR code. I'm really grateful for his help. I honestly recommend staying at this hotel."

"Well... the location is great. You couldn't find a more central or romantic place to stay. The room is also kind of cozy, definitely old-school. Great view of the river. The owner is incredibly nice. But... We booked 36 square meters. The room was 16 square meters plus a small bathroom without hot water... Taking off your shoes at the front door and walking barefoot through the house is also a matter of personal taste. The offerings urgently need to be revised. And the price is too high for what you get. But still, I'd recommend it for the right kind of renter. But I wouldn't book it again... Too quirky. Too expensive. And far too many barriers throughout the house. The toilet is designed for short people."

"If you’re looking for a place that’s super close to all the main attractions in Melaka, Heeren Street Boutique Hotel is honestly one of the best spots. It’s just a short walk to Jonker Street, Red Square, and even the Melaka River, so you can explore most tourist areas without needing a car. There are also several halal restaurants nearby, which makes food hunting really easy. The rooms are clean and comfortable, with air-conditioning and a water heater that work perfectly. Entry to the hotel and rooms is via access card, and the WiFi is available for guests. On the ground floor, you’ll find filtered drinking water and an iron if you need to use them. Just a heads-up, there’s no TV, mini fridge, or tea/coffee sachets in the room. But overall, if you’re looking for an affordable stay with comfort and a great location, this place ticks all the boxes."

"I chose Dusit Princess Melaka for my trip this time, and the overall experience was fantastic! Room and Facilities: My first impression upon checking in was how spacious and bright the room was. The decor is modern and cozy. As it's a relatively new hotel, all the facilities and equipment are very new and well-maintained. The bedding and toiletries were also of good quality, making for a very comfortable stay. Public Areas: The hotel's amenities are a major highlight. The swimming pool has clean water and an expansive view, making an afternoon swim very enjoyable. The gym is well-equipped and has a clean environment, which is great for those who like to work out. Location: The location is just right. Although it's not in the bustling city center, it's not far from main attractions like Jonker Street; a Grab ride only takes a few minutes. This allowed us to enjoy the quiet evenings while still having convenient access to everything. Service and Price: The staff members were all very friendly, and the check-in and check-out processes were smooth. The service level was excellent. Most importantly, the price was very reasonable, offering exceptional value for money among hotels of its caliber. No deposit is required for check-in either! Whether it's the hardware facilities or the soft services, this hotel does a great job. If you're looking for a modern, reasonably priced, and conveniently located hotel, this is definitely the place to choose!"

"Good location, walking distance to jonker street. There's outlet and malls just located behind the accommodation, and surrounded with nice food! Room is clean, strong aircon for the humid weather and water dispenser just outside the room. Host is nice and responds fast to all our enquiries and requests."

"definitely a pleasant stay, very recomended for family and friends group. very convenience. got cooking utensils( which are rare bcs most hotel snd rooms didnt prepare), got iron and board. very spacious, beds are comfy, suitable for staycation bcs they provide netflix and the pools are nice. most important they show the kiblat. the view are sooooooo breath taking. love it so much. will book again 💋"
