Lovely stay at The Ferry Boat Inn. Great staff, extremely helpful and courteous. Very smooth check in and check out. Room very pleasant. It was a good size, very clean, lovely furnishings and a very comfy bed. Quiet position. Breakfast was excellent. Would definitely recommend.

We had an overnight stay for 2 of us and met with family for an evening meal. The room was well decorated and very clean, as was the bathroom. Everything you needed including hair dryer, tea & coffee, water, TV, WiFi. Detailed information was provided in the room outlining local services, walks from the pub, suggested local places to visit, etc. The restaurant staff were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Our evening meal was great, plenty of choices. W e also had breakfast. Plenty of choice and good quality produce. The Ferry Boat Inn is a beautiful place, lots of great features and areas to sit in if you're having a meal, both inside and out.

Went today lunchtime (29th) with my wife, sister and her husband. Very well received, very pleasant young waitress, nothing too much trouble. Excellent food as usual, decent menu, plenty of choice. Have been several times, always great, well done.

My wife and I booked an overnight B&B stay to mark our (53rd.) wedding anniversary. We knew what to expect, as we have stayed before. Clean, comfortable, courteous and can't be faulted. We had dinner that we thoroughly enjoyed and, as others have said, the food is excellent with a menu that is sufficiently varied to suit most tastes. The staff all seem to be happy to go the extra mile to please their customers. We made a brave attempt at one of the round walks nearby but had to admit defeat just over half way round just beyond the first Essex Wildlife bird hide, owing to the mud; having returned the way we had gone, we took a look at the North Fambridge Yacht Club, including the sailing barge, Kitty.

Lovely little find. We stopped in here for a drink a month or so ago and liked the feel of the place, so we booked the weekend deal. The room was immaculate and nice and quiet. We had dinner and breakfast and the for both the food and service was excellant, the breakfast was amazing!

What a little gem. From the moment we booked in everyone was so kind and helpful. Our room was The Kestrel. The room was large, very clean, warm had a decent sized smart tv. A lovely bath room with under floor heating a double sized walk in shower, with toiletries and soft towels. We had our evening meal and breakfast there and both meals were delicious and hot. We can’t wait to go back

Rooms are immaculately clean and really cosy. Bed and pillows comfortable, shower amazing. We ate dinner and breakfast in the pub, both excellent and really tasty. Cannot fault this place, great for a short break if you're visiting the area.

Very nice break lovely clean rooms and great food. Gary (poodle) wants to give it a “7” the staff were fantastic. We enjoyed a long refreshing walk after breakfast along by the river which is perfect for dogs and clearing the head. Definitely coming back Tom Michele Gary

This was great stay, super food, outstanding accommodation, great showers, warm and cosy on a cold night. Just one little hiccup, no welcome,how are you? where have you come from, just here is your key, though we were shown to our room
