Hotel Real D Obidos

Wonderful charming hotel with like new rooms/bathrooms. The nicest hotel we’ve stayed in Portugal so far. Super clean, spacious, nicely decorated, friendly staff. Very close to town walls, walk about 30 ft from the door of hotel. Pool isn’t available until May unfortunately. But would still highly recommend!

Excellent location at a reasonable price. Another option in town (Pousada do Castelo de Óbidos) but it's at least double the price but similar quality. We loved the staff at Hotel Real d'Obidos. The facility and room are very clean. The mattress needs replacement and the ambience needs updating. Breakfast was good although coffee could be better.

When you get the room key you immediately know you are in a unique place. Hall lights automatically come on as you walk. Old but new. Great breakfast. Great staff willing to help. Just outside the Obidos wall; it is perfect: it is memorable. Highly recommend 👍

Great location. Excellent staff. Welcome drink in front of the fire was lovely. Incredible selection of food at breakfast. Bedroom and bathroom were ok - a bit dated, but this is a very old hotel so I was not expecting a modern room. Parking is very handy. Overall, great value for money.

A lovingly decorated Hotel in the beautiful old town of Obidos. We visited when the renaissane fair was in town, which led to a great atmosphere in the historic city. The common and private rooms are kept in a medieval-ish style but sport all the modern amenities you could need. The breakfast is well prepared and deliccious and the pool a welcome addition in the hot summer months. There is not too much to visit nearby beside the beautiful old town, but that can easily fill multiple awe-inspiring days. There are multiple restaurants and bars in Obidos that i well recommend. A good mix of relaxing holiday and culture. 9/10 Interior 10/10 Location 9/10 Staff 10/10 Breakfast Das Hotel ist liebevoll in einem mittelalterlichen Stil eingerichtet, die Zimmer verfügen aber natürlich über alle modernen Annehmlichkeiten. Der Pool ist eine willkommene Abkühlung i n den heißen Sommermonaten. Während unseres Aufenthaltes gab es in der Stadt einen großen Mittelaltermarkt, was ein sehr schönes Erlebnis war. In der näheren Umgebung gibt es nicht allzuviele Sehenswürdigkeiten, mit Ausnahme der Altstadt von Obidos. Und diese ist wunderschön, beeindruckend historisch und mit sehr guten Restaurants und Bars ausgestattet, so dass man ohne Probleme einige tage hier verbringen kann. We were here for two evenings last month. Location was great;able to park vehicle without navigating narrow streets. Parking was easy. Staff super friends and helpful. Room was comfortable. Bed was perfect. Bathroom was fine. Breakfast had plenty of options for all taste buds. The old fashioned key was fun, but left us wondering regarding an emergency and needing to double click to open from inside. Staff and decor were winners.

Great layout, unique decor fitting the surroundings, and really liked the front desk staff and food. Also excellent location, right outside castle wall.

We passed by Obidos for one night on our way to Lisbon. This small historical town was out of this world.
