Hotels Near Smile camp in Pai

Village hut style rooms are compact and non sound proof so your neighbor does hear u rocking the bed or squelchy floorboard while u walk around. 3 car lot just at front of hotel along a busy street that turn into a night market infused with scooters for rental and bars. Seconds away from street food. Lovely frog sounds while u sleep. Muzzie coil are provided daily. Simple breakfast menu and not bad chargrill steak at night. Housekeeping does provide random gift/staff every evening.

Overall a lovely stay with no issues. A great price for what you get. The hotel has a fantastic location on the Main Street. Everything is within a 10 minute walk. You can’t fault the location. The rooms are large and spacious. Clean and tidy. With a Fan and AC. Fridge, kettle, hairdryer, tea/coffee and water provided. The staff were lovely. They didn’t have good English, but tried there best. Breakfast was included. Was a selection of tea/coffee/juice/water, toast, cereals and fruit to have. With 1 choice of a freshly cooked main dish, such as omelettes.

I booked a single tent suite that can accommodate four people without extra beds (family is OK, friends should not be very convenient). The hotel is ten minutes away from Pai station. It is very convenient to come out on the bar street and just turn around the night market. But the hotel is in a quiet environment and the environment is very good. The air is fresh in the morning. The breakfast is simple but still very ok. It seems that it is difficult to park the motorbike until there is a large open space.

we love the villa. we was upgraded by Mr Van to the Grand Villa which consist of 3 rooms of course with a private pool too. Mr Van & Sam are so helpful every time i have requests they will fulfil it . It was a memorable & relaxing stay in this secluded area . We love it. Definitely will be back when i'm Pai. 🤩

Not a bad place to stay for a couple of nights. It’s within walking distance of the main downtown area of Pai. Good little local restaurants nearby. Easy to find across the street from the Purple Gorilla Backpackers. The shower floor looked pretty grungy (flip flops were provided) and the WiFi strength was sketchy. But the shower water pressure was good, the a/c worked well and the bed/pillows were comfortable. It cost $27/night for 3 of us. The front desk spoke some English. Coffee and tea available in the lobby in the mornings. No restaurant or breakfast provided. Room included a fridge.

The photos of the indoor courtyard are not up-to-date, a kind of house was built as a breakfast room, thereby 8 rooms are almost without light, the terrace is bordered to the breakfast room and you must always keep the closed views of the hangs closed. As soon as breakfast begins, you don't sleep anymore. The pool is not cleaned! On the day the swimming pool is running pump, which is so noisy that a conversation does not go, this stands directly at the breakfast room and window of the rooms. The hotel is not worth the money! I wouldn't stay here anymore! Otherwise the rooms in other areas of the hotel would be OK.

It is situated rather far away from the walking street but made up by the free transport arrangement to bring guests to and back from the town centre where eateries and bars are located. The single pro and con are both related to its location and accessibility. Furthermore, from the micro perspective, accessibility is also about within the premises. It is certainly not wheel chair friendly and those carrying luggages should avoid upper floor as it is staircase only. In fact I think the hotel management should advise its customers that they should not bring their luggage along to check in but after checking in at the counter, then bring the luggage via the carpark slop, to avoid climbing steps to reach their rooms My second take on this lace is that while it is named a resort and indeed its external environment is a resort like setting, the rooms need to maintain a certain degree of upkeep in housekeeping. The bathroom is certain ly below expectation - at best 2-star. I am not sure why the handle of the shower is made entire of metal as when hot water passes through it, it is quite impossible to hold it without being “burned”. The water pressure of the heater is inconsistent thus resulted in uneven passing out of hot water, making balancing a continuous fussing game. It is such a pity that such minus issues are overlooked by the hotel management which may affect retuning customers.

This resort is perfectly located a few short miles from the busy activity of Pai town and major tourist attractions. The bungalows are spread across the landscaped terraces, separated by flowering trees and fish ponds. The resort sits among the rice fields of the Pai River valley, with views of mountain ranges on two sides. The setting is peaceful -- with the sounds of tree frogs, wild birds, geckos and the occasional farm animal providing a natural orchestra. The new owner, Vanda, is a fantastic hostess and goes out of her way to make sure your stay is comfortable and you have the information you need to make the most out of Pai's many attractions. In Jan 2023 the resort installed new, spring mattresses and upgraded internet service and wifi technology to the best available in Thailand. The free, high-speed wifi service is available resort-wide, making the Pond Terrace a perfect shared workspace for digital nomads and those traveling for work. The breakfast options (included in the price) included Muesli with yogurt or honey, French Toast, or full American Breakfast. Fresh tropical fruit from local farms is included with each. Finally, the coffee options included American coffee, espresso, cappuccino, latte made from freshly ground coffee beans from northern Thailand. We have lived and travelled in Thailand for 8 years. This resort ticks all the boxes! We will return--often!

Great scenery, friendly staff comfortable beds and clean rooms & bathrooms

Absolutely stunning! I had a wonderful three night stay, by myself (female), in a standard villa. The resort grounds are well kept while maintaining a natural feeling. The mountainous views from my room, the pool and the breakfast area were divine! It was quiet and peaceful, exactly what I needed. Enjoyed walking around at sunset. The staff were unbelievably kind, accommodating and attentive. Breakfast was included along with drinking water and fresh towels. They made my breakfast vegan for me upon request. Can’t beat fresh mango and banana every morning! My room was clean with working amenities including fan, air conditioner, how shower and fridge. There were little benches to sit out front, which could have been a little wider, so I enjoyed the hammock instead. The pool is big, beautiful and when I was there was perfectly very clean. I felt comfortable swimming and sitting on the pool chairs. The resort is located ten minuets outside of town and the staff will drive you in and out of town, free of charge. I wanted to be away from town but still accessible and that’s exactly what I got. There are some places along the main road you can walk to (or bike to , you can borrow a bike), such as Coffee in Love. When I arrived at the bus station I called and they directed me to turn right and head a few mins down the walking street and wait at the 7-11 on the corner. This is where I was dropped off and picked up other times I went into town. When the walking street was open to cars they drove me right to the bus station to leave. It’s definitely on the older side, but that didn’t take away from my experience.. it added to it! I felt so at home and well taken care of the whole time. My entire stay was 10/10 and I would definitely return again.
