The Colony Hotel

I went for a brief trip to celebrate one of my favorite philanthropies so I did not have a chance to sample all of the Hotel's features (for example, I did not get to go to the off-site gym). However, I can report that this grand resort epitomizes old Florida IMO and I liked its warmth and intimacy better than the grandeur of its primary competitor, The Breakers. The service is wonderful. All of the staff are friendly and call you by name. The turndown service is wonderful and they give you an interesting card about the history and an exceptionally tasty sweet macaron form Laduree. My room was quite small and fully priced, but you could not have a better location - just one block from the Beach and Worth Avenue. The "free" in-house car service featuring a vintage Land Rover Defender and a Volvo station wagon is quite exceptional.

Great weekend getaway hotel for couples.

I had a horrible experience at the Colony Hotel. After my last night, I woke up with bug bites all over the lower portion of my body. The bites were in the pattern and coloring of bed bug bites. When I checked the bed more closely, I found a dead bug and hair under the mattress. This made me seriously question whether the room had been properly cleaned or inspected before my arrival. The condition of the room was unacceptable, and I notified management immediately upon my discovery. The hotel claims they had the room inspected for bed bugs, but of course they would say that. I texted pictures to a bed bug inspector, who said the bites did look like bed bug bites. When I arrived home after a five-hour flight, I could not enter my home for fear of infesting it and had to either professionally clean all my clothes or keep them in trash bags outside for several days. It was a huge stress, inconvenience, and additional cost. I reported the issue to the hotel, but they refused to offer any acceptable resolution. They offered a free upgrade for my next stay, which felt insulting under the circumstances. After that, they stopped responding to me altogether. The lack of accountability and follow-up made an already unacceptable experience even worse. Guests should be able to expect a clean, sanitary sleeping area and respectful customer service when serious concerns are raised. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. I would not recommend this property to anyone.

Beautiful stay at the colony!! Everything was right there!! The restaurant was delicious!! The crowd definitely comes in for the weekend- enjoyed the beach

Super clean, fresh, amazing staff - great vibes! Room was serviced non stop - felt like a 5-star hotel! Loved the ambience! Great drinks and food at the restaurant as well.

The Colony Hotel is the perfect place for a girls get away - the hotel is beautifully decorated and the theme is consistent throughtout the property. The rooms are individually decorated and each one if unique and inviting - the pool is lovely, the bar is a scene and the cocktails are great! The staff goes out of their way to make your experience fabulous - a totally wonderful experience!

Fun place to stay in great position between the beach and Worth Avenue. Pink themed throughout which is cute and stylish. This was the second time we stayed at this hotel and not as good as first time. The first time we were bowled over by the friendly and helpful staff and abundance of everything attitude. Nothing was too much trouble during the first stay. This time not so much and some of the girls at front of house could do with a refresher course on customer service. Overall we had a wonderful stay thank you.
