The Villas at Emerald Desert RV Resort

I highly recommend staying here!!! Kara was amazingly efficient making sure things ran smoothly during our stay!! The staff are super friendly, helpful, and such a pleasure to interact with!!! Thank you to Christian and the others for all you do!! The chef provided amazing meals made right on the premises that were out of this world!!! The sites are clean, easy in and out, and plenty to do right at the resort! Great place to stay if anyone goes to stagecoach next year!!! They do offer shuttles right from the resort!! Thank you all for a great experience!!!

Emerald Desert RV Resort is a great RV resort to stay at. I have stayed here many times and the staff is extremely professional. The only draw back I would say is the noise from an occasional train once in a while. However, it didn't bother me in the least.

The RV park looks nice and they have two pools and several pickleball courts. We were not in RV so we rented a “Villa”. They claimed it was 5 star and cost us $3000 for a 2/2 for a week. What a dump. It was probably built in the 80’s and has never been updated. Old carpet, dirty floors and walls. The kitchen had a new refrigerator but the rest of the appliances were original. Terrible mildew smell when you opened any drawer or cupboard. One of the bathrooms had an outhouse smell while the other had a running toilet. Desk personnel were nice and tried to be helpful . The TV service went out 3-4 times and they contacted the cable service. The Villas were the only places that kept losing service I tried to add photos but internet was so slow they would not download but a few.

The grounds are well maintained, and the amenities are all that you will need for an enjoyable stay. We did not take advantage of the activities that the staff worked hard to create, but the feedback from other guests was positive. The internet is not to be relied on, we purchased a starlink system during our stay, so we will not need to worry about that going forward. Overall I would certainly recommend Emerald desert for a turn key resort, great location, fantastic staff and a very well maintained property.

The grounds were meticulously maintained. It was a great location with super staff. Definitely will return.

Reservations: Made online because the phones were down and stayed down for a few days. Chose the Luxury Site because of the length in the description of 50-57’. Motorhome is 34’ w/ a 12’ cargo trailer. Made a note on the reservation for a 50-57’ site because I would have a cargo trailer on the back of a motorhome. No communication for 5 days. Day before we were going to check in I called to make sure everything was good. Was told they didn’t have any sites other than a pull through that could accommodate that length even though the description states otherwise. Was told the Luxry sites are up to 57’ not that all are 50-57’. Yea nice play on words. Pull through, another $135 for 3 nights for a total of over $500. Was told they were filling up fast and I didn’t have a choice for a site and that I could leave the cargo trailer in the storage lot, not. The last was told that I couldn’t use the street or parking spots for the trailer. Walking around the park you see people’s vehicles being towed behind motorhomes parked in the street, so whats the difference??? There were sites available at 50-55’ our entire stay. So to me this was a way to make more revenue through dishonest practices. Main corporate phone number was “Somewhat” helpful and more understanding but the front desk far from it. They need training on customer service and accommodations to ones that are paying the bills. Stay: Show up and the park is not full and has not been close to full the entire stay. The only difference in sites is that some have brick / stamped concrete. So don’t pay for any upgrades. All sites are the same w/ amenities. Park: Not worth the rates being charged. No picnic tables or trash dumpsters available. Trash needs to be set in front of the site before 0900 for pickup. No other amenities outside of Hookups. Sunland has really ran this park into the ground. Needs a lot of TLC. Power boxes are original, Some of the power boxes need to be replaced. Plugs are melted and some are very loose. 80% (est) of the grass is dead other than around the reservations and other office(s). The noise from the freeway and train is too much. You can feel the train vibrating the motorhome and little rocking. A sound wall needs to be installed. They should have sold part of the park against the railroad tracks for condos not the part they did sell. Site: The pull through which is actually a back to back site. They are long but the issue is the width. They cemented the sites too the width of approx. 120” and a wider area where the door on the RV is located. You will be cocked in the site to stay off the grass, which they require. Most likely will not be returning to this park, will stay in the others between Indio and Indian Wells for more amenities and less $. Its sad my parents loved this park before Sunland Purchased it.

Lippincott Jackels Reunion We all had a lovely time . East met west and the kids loved it . The staff and set up with staff was the best part ! Very accommodating from Juan to Kara , Godwin and the front desk . Everyone was on point ! Many shall come back again! It’s now gone corporate, it’s not the same. Stay elsewhere, the cost doesn’t out way the facility. Plus trains drive by constantly and they are super loud. Plus lots of construction here now, it won’t be complete for a long time. So, be warned and be prepared.

Emerald Desert RV Resort has beautiful grounds and facilities but 24/7 high decibel freeway and freight train noise. Property is adjacent to the freeway and main freightline. Would not stay here again.
