First time staying at this pub, visiting family.
I wouldn't stay here again sadly. My main issue was the heat in the rooms and hotel in general (which I heard other guests complaining about). Despite being the middle of December, the rooms were uncomfortably and stiflingly hot even with the window fully open and any radiators turned off (although the pipes remained baking hot). I ended up borrowing 2 fans (not from the hotel as the one they provided was useless) which is ridiculous given the time of year. Whilst breakfast was nice, I didn't see a single window open to let any form of fresh air in.
You will also get the pungent smell of food cooking drifting into your room when the early morning cooking starts.
Beds were comfortable but the room we had was poorly designed with too much clutter making them feel claustrophobic.
Parking was a pain as we had to wait for people to leave to get a space.
As mentioned above, we won't be returning to this pub/hotel. I find it irritating that people who do hospitality, can't even get the basics right.
