Guest UserI had a really great stay at this hotel, but what made the experience special was definitely the staff. Everyone was incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful from the moment I arrived. Even with language barriers at times, they always tried their best to help me and made me feel genuinely welcome.
The atmosphere felt very personal and authentic compared to many standard hotels. The owners and staff were warm, patient, and always smiling, which made the stay much more memorable. You can really feel that they care about their guests and put effort into creating a comfortable environment.
I would absolutely stay here again and can highly recommend this place to anyone looking not only for a room, but also for genuinely friendly people and a local experience.

PauOHanlonI believe my friends and I spent Christmas eve here. Being an exchange student from England, far from home, and my friends and classmates from Latvia and Cambodia, we needed somewhere homely and comfortable to stay. This place was exactly what we needed.
We stayed here for one night in the middle of winter as part of our road trip from Beijing to Wutaishan, following the sections of the Great Wall. We turned up after dark, we were welcomed with a big smile and slept with ease after the long drive.
In the morning I woke up early, found a spot in the courtyard garden and opened my Christmass cards. The owners dog immediately rolled over to be petted and for the next hour I had good company, drank tea and enjoyed the peace.
The owners awoke to find me outside, probably thought I was a ****** and so, immediately lit their fire in the garden. They saw me drinking tea so got the iron kettle boiling over the heat of the flames. My mates awoke to this and joined me and the boss by the fire. The outside temperature was negative, but we were warm, happy and ready for the day ahead - exploring Baishishan. The boss also showed us his great tea collection.
I want to thank the owners for a short but great stay and I highly recommend. I would like to come back in spring to see their courtyard in full bloom.

This stay truly exceeded all expectations. As foreigners visiting Citadines Baoding for the first time, the overall experience couldn’t have been better — it was absolutely top-notch 👍.
From the moment we stepped into the lobby, we were greeted with a sense of warmth and genuine hospitality. The front desk staff were incredibly thoughtful and attentive.
The hotel also provides a complimentary fruit platter, which was a very nice and thoughtful touch. The room is well equipped with a capsule coffee machine, and there is even a washing machine inside the room, making the stay especially convenient for families and longer visits.
Another major highlight is the room layout. In addition to the bedroom, there is a separate small living area. This design is a big plus — my husband can watch TV or work in the living space without disturbing my rest, which greatly enhances comfort and privacy.
Overall, whether it was the attention to detail at the front desk, the comfort and quality of the accommodation, or the excellent food and beverage service, this hotel truly delivered on all fronts. It’s absolutely an ideal choice for business or families traveling with children, and we would highly recommend Citadines to anyone visiting Baoding.

I specifically booked the Sofitel Xiong'an this time, and the overall experience exceeded my expectations. Since I was traveling with a child, I booked the 'Octonauts' themed room. The room was decorated with a playful, warm, and cute design, and my little one had an absolute blast. The room was clean and tidy, and most importantly, safety was a top priority with no sharp corners, so I didn't have to worry about bumps or scrapes. The bathroom was equipped with a step stool for the sink and a child's toilet seat – truly the ultimate for traveling with kids!
The hotel's public areas were also clean and tidy, especially the swimming pool area on the 4th floor, which featured a constant-temperature children's pool with excellent water quality and no pungent chemical filter smell. We felt very safe and played for a long time. The restaurant was also very convenient, with a wide variety of breakfast options that tasted great.
Furthermore, the hotel staff were attentive and thoughtful, proactively asking about our needs and being patient and meticulous. The service was very satisfying.
One minor point: you might want to bring light clothing indoors as the room temperature was a bit high, and the windows seemed to be sealed. It would have been perfect if there was ventilation.

My and my sister stayed there for two nights, the hotel had a great location on the owner was so kind to pick us up from the train station and to bring us back to the station at the end of our stay. He also carried our luggage.
The room was clean and pretty, the bathroom and the shower were together so it wasn't comfertable to take a shower, but we had warm water, the floor was also warm.
There wasn't a room service but we asked for more towels and slippers and they brought it to us.
The towels weren't comfertable and the pillows were so hard we decided to sleep without it.
But overall the stay was very good, the owner was amazing and a great location (10 minutes walk from baili gorge).
Recommend not going on winter because it was too freezing and the view is not as great.

YuanxiaobaobaoddWe stayed in a spacious double room in the office building, decorated in a slightly old-fashioned style. Although there was no private hot spring, there was a bathtub. Watching the New Year's Eve gala on TV as a family was quite pleasant.
Breakfast was fairly plentiful; the pancakes were good. There was fruit, cold dishes, stir-fries, and various staple foods. The coffee was instant.
Agricultural Park Mini-Pass (Unlimited Entry and Exit): This was excellent; we strolled around. The pass inside was 55 yuan, and we played in the snow world and bumper cars, which was well worth it.
Double Hot Spring Resort: This was my second visit. It was too crowded and rather old. The price-performance ratio was acceptable.

I'm a business tourist from the USA, stayed at this hotel almost 2 weeks and they all made me feel at home. This hotel excels in customer service...and I don't say that lightly. I've stayed in almost 12 different hotels in my extensive travels across China and in general, hotel personnel attitudes tend to be cold, formal and impersonal. But staff at this hotel....from front desk, to restaurant and cleaning staff are very personable, warm and friendly. The ladies at the front desk are super sweet, kind, friendly and helpful. The lady that checked me in was very nice. Another front desk lady (she told me not to mention her name) went out of her way to spend hours on the phone and online to help me resolve some serious online order logistics issues because I don't speak Chinese. If I was looking for a Chinese wife, I woulda sly slid a wedding ring on her finger before she knows what hit her 😜😂
I sure 'nuff enjoyed my stay....and heck yeah I'll be back!!!

Guest UserWell, what can I say? For 100 RMB, you get what you pay for, I spent 45 minutes walking around in circles trying to find the place, When I wanted to give up and cancel the reservation, I found that the hotel had already checked me in, even though I hadn't checked in and was walking around out in the street,Amap and Baidu maps useless. to locate the place
When finally got in the room, the bed looked like it had just been slept in,Half drank bottle of water sitting on the table,Dirty tissues on the floor,Waste bins full of rubbish,Then, after being soaked in sweat from walking around trying tofind the place, I went to have a shower. I found both the rain shower and the handheld shower are broken Spraying water everywhere,One bath towel for two people,
