The location of this hotel is superb. It is only a short walking distance away from the Metro station. Within walking distance are several restaurants which serve excellent meals at reasonable prices. Opposite the hotel is a fresh fruits & vegetables market which is worth visiting. The front office staff are very helpful and will go all out to assist you. They gave useful advice on places to visit and good restaurants to go for meals.

I had an amazing stay at Ji hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Songsan area. The environment is exceptionally clean and well maintained, which made the entire stay feel comfortable and relaxing. The hotel features a modern and stylish design, with beautiful interiors that give a very luxurious and contemporary atmosphere. The room was very spacious and thoughtfully designed, providing plenty of comfort and space to relax after a long day. Everything felt new and well organized, which added to the overall premium experience. One of the best things about this hotel is its excellent location. It is very convenient to travel anywhere in the city, with many attractions easily accessible nearby. There is also a large shopping mall directly beside the hotel, making it incredibly convenient for shopping, dining, and entertainment without needing to travel far. The traffic at this area quite heavy and a lots of cars sound their horn that could be disturbing, however I didn’t experience the noise pollution after late night hence it is acceptable to me. Their breakfast start from 7am-10am and plenty of choices even though only Chinese style is served. Hopefully their coffee machine is working in the future, as an overseas traveller, coffee is part of our basic need. One thing I wish to special highlight is about the free laundry, you can view the available machine slots from your room (open the TV and you can see the info). Super convenient! You don’t have to walk all the way to the laundry area to check by yourself. I would definitely give this hotel a full 5-star rating and look forward to staying here again in the future.

Had a fantastic stay! The facilities are top-notch, especially the well-equipped gym, which was perfect for keeping up with my fitness routine. The location is great too; it's close to Songshan Lake, which is lovely for a stroll, and also near some famous roast goose restaurants in Dalingshan. It's a convenient spot whether you're here for leisure or business.

Location: 5/5 – Absolutely Strategic! The biggest strength of this hotel is its unbeatable location. You’re steps away from McDonald's and Luckin Coffee for quick bites and caffeine. A well-stocked mall is right beside the hotel, making it super easy to grab daily necessities. The best part? A lively night market is directly opposite the hotel! This makes finding delicious, affordable local food incredibly convenient any time of the evening. The whole area is very 热闹 (rènào - bustling/energetic) – perfect if you want to be in the heart of the action. Cleanliness: 3/5 – Okay for the Price, Manage Expectations The general cleanliness is acceptable, if you adjust your expectations. It's definitely not a 5-star luxury experience, but for a budget/mid-range stay, it's passable and reasonably maintained. Don't expect immaculate perfection, but the basics are covered. Room & Atmosphere: 2/5 – Persistent Smoke Smell The major downside, especially in the rooms and hallways, is a strong and pervasive smoke smell. It's quite noticeable and doesn't dissipate easily. Unfortunately, this seems to be a common issue in many hotels within the region, but it's definitely present and unpleasant here if you're sensitive to it. Breakfast: 1/5 – Strongly Not Recommended / Unhygienic Avoid the breakfast option. Hygiene standards here are very poor. I personally observed small cockroaches crawling on the tables in the breakfast area. This is completely unacceptable and a major health red flag. Do yourself a favor and skip it entirely. Thankfully, with McDonald's, Luckin, the mall food court, and the fantastic night market opposite, you have plenty of much better (and cleaner) alternatives nearby. Overall: This hotel is all about the location, location, location. If being in a super convenient, vibrant area with easy access to food, coffee, and shopping is your top priority, and you're on a budget, it serves that purpose. The cleanliness is tolerable for the category. However, the strong smoke smell in the rooms and corridors is a significant drawback, and the breakfast is dangerously unhygienic (cockroach sighting confirmed). Choose this hotel for the prime spot if you can tolerate the smoke and definitely plan to eat breakfast elsewhere. Who should stay: Budget-conscious travelers prioritizing an unbeatable, lively location who aren't sensitive to smoke smells and will skip the hotel breakfast. Who should avoid: Families with young children, travelers sensitive to smoke, those prioritizing high cleanliness standards, or anyone planning to eat the hotel breakfast.

I travel to Dongguan for business every month, and the services at the Dongcheng International Hotel are truly exceptional. I always feel incredibly cared for and appreciative 😊. A special thanks to Lobby Manager He. She initially prepared yogurt for me, but since I don't like it, she immediately arranged for plain milk 🥛 instead. You won't find this level of service just anywhere; it's absolutely fantastic.

I rarely write long reviews, but my two-night stay during the ***** New Year holiday was absolutely delightful and exceeded my expectations – excellent! The hardware is superb because their room design is truly unique: no wardrobe, and the sink/vanity area is separate, located outside the main toilet and shower area. The software (service) is also excellent: we were sitting in the lobby on the third floor, enjoying a coffee, when the two on-duty staff members (one male, one female) promptly helped resolve an issue with the coffee machine – commendable! On the second and third days, we went down one floor to the restaurant for breakfast. It was a comfortable experience, and the coffee there was even better than in the lobby. I personally loved their beef congee, and the pickled vegetable side dishes were great. On the second day, I also tried a burrito, which was delicious. You could really feel the dedication of the restaurant staff. If I ever have the chance to visit Humen East again, I will definitely choose to stay at this hotel. Upon checking out, I even received a small gift: ”Joy! Peace and Serenity!” My sentiments exactly!

The hotel thoughtfully arranged the room according to my preferences in advance, which was really considerate. Its location near Wanda Plaza and a metro station makes dining, entertainment, and shopping incredibly convenient. The hotel facilities are comprehensive, and the bed in the room was clean and tidy, ensuring a very comfortable sleep. Overall, the comfort level was a perfect score [strong]. The location is super convenient, right next to the subway station. It's also close to shopping malls like Guomao and Vanke, so it's great for shopping. The service was warm and attentive; the front desk staff was very responsive to all our requests. I highly recommend it for your 51 (May Day) holiday trip!

The hotel's location is excellent, very close to both the airport and the intercity rail station. It takes only half an hour to Shenzhen Airport and an hour to Guangzhou, making transportation incredibly convenient. The facilities are comprehensive, including a gym, though it seems unmanaged with limited equipment. Massage services are also available. The room was clean and comfortable, and the front desk staff, Nicole, provided attentive and efficient service. Overall, it was a great experience, making it an ideal choice for business travel. Highly recommended!

Well the hotel just reopened these comfy queen rooms on the 4th floor which I stayed numerous times on my previous visits. So I booked immediately as I like these rooms with a big shower cubicle but I forget there's another drawback that is really a pain in the neck. Regrettably these rooms (especially the ones with the odd numbers) sit above the karaoke on the 3rd floor and it opens until 2am. Imagine the noises of music and lyrics of the singer (usually half drunk) running through the room while you are trying to get done sleep. It was a complete catastrophe that night and I didn't get to sleep until 1am. I didn't get this nightmare on my previous stays until this karaoke facility was reopened last year. I strongly recommend not to book these rooms if you're a light sleeper and have a business to deal with on the next day. Other than the above crises, the room has a update smart tv, all the mirrors were frosted and the glasses of the shower cubicle were also tinted. Without any doubts ,it was my fault to book such a room but I think it's also the responsibility for the hotel management to put a reminder on the website like they advertise late check out amenity. As a hotel is basically served as a logging purpose rather than a singing facility. My suggestion is to work on the noise barrier if the karaoke is there to stay. 😞😞😞😞😞😞😞
