The Miraton Hotel is an ideal spot for travelers wanting to discover the city. Visitors to Dongguan will find that the Miraton Hotel is a fantastic accommodation choice. Boasting a convenient location, the hotel is just 800m from Changpingnan Railway Station and 61km from Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport. The nearby area boasts an abundance of attractions including Changping Park (Changtian Road), Changping Cultural Square and Railroad Park. When guests have some time on their hands they can make use of the onsite facilities. For those driving themselves, parking is provided on site. If you are looking for a convenient place to stay, our guests have told us that this location is excellent. Perfect for those working on the move, this hotel caters to a large number of business guests.

"The hotel's location is great, close to the business district, and it's well-renovated with a good price. You can tell it's recently refurbished as soon as you enter; it's very clean, and the hygiene standards are met. However, some room equipment is a bit old; it seems only the surface was renovated, not the internal wiring and devices. There are no power outlets by the bed, so I had to charge my phone under the desk. Also, the air conditioning isn't very effective, and the controls are surprisingly old-fashioned rotary knobs from twenty years ago, with yellowed plastic. I've stayed at the Huilihua next door, and they have digital control panels. It's really rare to see an AC unit with traditional rotary switches these days. That said, the hygiene is genuinely good, and the restaurants downstairs are decent, so overall, it was a good experience. Welcome fruit: It was mentioned, but I couldn't find it and forgot about it by the time I left."

"The hotel's hygiene was excellent; despite its age, it's very well-maintained. However, the bathroom faucet was incredibly difficult to use – very stiff, and you had to twist it twice to get warm water, but then it would immediately turn scalding hot if you twisted it just a little more. The bathroom is arguably the most important part of a hotel room, so this was a really poor experience. I hope they consider replacing the bathroom fixtures. Another point is that the hotel staff's management and service need significant improvement. Our package included breakfast and dinner. During check-in, I asked the front desk if my child, who is 1.2 meters tall, could eat for free. They even looked at my child and confirmed it was fine. Yet, during dinner, someone came to charge us. I asked why there were such inconsistent statements. They went back and forth three times, verifying and then trying to charge us again. Eventually, I asked for a superior to handle it, and indeed, my child was not charged for dinner. The funniest part was the next day at breakfast: it was just me and my child (the other adult was still sleeping). Someone immediately stopped us at the entrance, saying that if the other adult wanted to eat, we'd have to pay extra... My eyes practically rolled to the back of my head! Is such a large hotel really so worried about a 1.2-meter child drinking an extra glass of milk? With that kind of mindset, I doubt they'll last long. I didn't want to get angry so early in the morning, so I just said, 'Then we won't eat!' Honestly, I've stayed at many hotels in the same tier – Marriott, Hyatt, Le Méridien, Sheraton, etc. – and I've never encountered anything like this. It was quite an eye-opener."

DdavidThere's a dream-like place in Dongguan where towering buildings blend with green mountains and flowing lakes, where technology and nature coexist. It boasts a promising future, with thriving industries like scientific innovation, education, and new materials. This is Dongguan Songshan Lake, a 'dream city' that marries scenic beauty with technological advancement. With 8 square kilometers of water, a 42-kilometer lakeside road, and over 70% green coverage, the scenery is pleasant and the ecological environment is exceptional. It's in this beautiful setting that the Banyan Tree Dongguan Songshan Lake hotel stands. As the saying goes, 'Enter Banyan Tree, and you enter paradise.' Banyan Tree hotels are renowned for their commitment to nature, environmental protection, and embodying the essence of poetry and distant dreams, earning them a loyal following worldwide. The Banyan Tree Dongguan Songshan Lake officially opened its doors at the beginning of 2024. It’s no coincidence that Banyan Tree’s first hotel in Guangdong Province chose this location; the philosophies of both the brand and Songshan Lake are a match made in heaven. As an experienced hotel enthusiast, I had long anticipated the arrival of Banyan Tree’s first hotel in Guangdong, especially for a summer trip to Dongguan Songshan Lake. I’ve now visited twice. The hotel lobby itself feels like the beginning of an aesthetic vacation, enveloping guests in a blend of ancient tranquility, contemporary wellness, and a thoughtful, immersive experience. The front desk's backdrop features a painting by artist Wang Tiande, 'Banyan Secluded Abode,' an elegant landscape in a minimalist style that perfectly complements the lobby’s ambiance. Crystal at the front desk provided excellent service. On either side of the guest rooms are a walk-in closet, vanity, and bathroom. The bathroom is a standout, featuring Banyan Tree SPA's exclusive Thai Chamanard bath products and a Dyson hairdryer as standard – every detail screams luxury. The balcony boasts a soaking tub, offering a relaxing mineral bath experience for both body and mind. The 'Sunset Ritual' at Ri Ri Ting is a truly healing experience, where professional instructors guide guests through a singing bowl relaxation session, immersing them in ethereal Zen sounds to clear daily distractions and purify the soul. The Lobby Lounge has a stylish design with both indoor and outdoor areas. The floor-to-ceiling windows offer beautiful views of the lake and green forest, and the outdoor seating is surrounded by flowing water. It’s a perfect place to unwind with a laptop, enjoy a delicious afternoon tea, and spend a leisurely afternoon – a rare treat for relaxation. The Julius Meinl 'Little Red Hat' coffee served here was particularly to my liking. In the evening, the Lobby Lounge's menu also features a wonderful selection of signature cocktails, providing a satisfying escape into a beautiful night amidst a bustling life. Furthermore, the authentic Cantonese cuisine at Bai Yun Chinese Restaurant is a visual and culinary feast that leaves a lasting impression.

CcccingThe castle-view room offered a beautiful light show at night, and the room facilities were brand new. The hotel has a ball pit, sandpit, building block area, and reading zone, which kept the kids entertained for a long time. The outdoor pool wasn't open yet, and the indoor pool was quite deep, making it unsuitable for children. The hot spring area was less crowded and more comfortable. Plus, the nearby Longfeng Villa offered more activities than expected. Overall, we had a great time, and considering it was a holiday, the price premium wasn't too high, making it excellent value for money.

TTravelling HIt’s a good hotel. Brand new, luxurious, nice facilities. The room itself was very nicely designed and comfortable. Only thing that needs improvement is the air quality of the rooms. They don’t enforce a strict no-smoking policy. Which is fine, but they also don’t have an air purifier. So if you have asthma or breathing problems that may be an issue. I already informed the manager and hope they take the necessary steps to purchase some air purifiers as they are only about 750 Yuan. I hope to return in the future and if I see them having some air purifiers on board that could take their rating to a 5/5 in the future. But if not; that is their choice as a 4-star hotel as well.

GGuest UserI've stayed at both Qiaotou and Zhangmutou locations, and they're both great hotels. My only minor complaint is that the double beds are a bit small. The indoor heated pool is fantastic, and the hotel service is excellent. Plus, there's a water park!

GGuest UserRight before Chinese New Year, my friends and I decided to take a short trip and chose this hotel because it's quite close to home, about an hour's drive away. It's also not far from the highway exit, which makes it convenient for self-driving. The hotel itself has a strong festive atmosphere for the New Year, and there are many facilities for kids to play with. I'd recommend it for families.

CCathrin.GThe hotel provides a wide range of amenities that made my stay comfortable and enjoyable. I especially appreciated the daily housekeeping service, which kept the room clean and fresh throughout my visit. The room itself was quite spacious, even though I booked one of the more budget-friendly options, which was a pleasant surprise. One area that could be improved is the lighting control in the room. There is no central switch to dim or turn off the lights, so I had to walk around the room to switch off different lights before going to sleep. Additionally, the bathroom layout separates the toilet from the shower area, requiring a few steps to move between them. The hotel provides clothes washing services but it’s chargeable and the price is on high side. One piece of normal ladies pant cost RMB50, male pant cost RMB45. If you give the clothes the housekeeping staff before 11am, they will send the clothes back to your room within the same day. Pullman Hotel also offers several in-house dining options, including Chinese and Japanese-style restaurants within the premises, which made dining very convenient. If you order food delivery , they have the robot machine to send your food to the room, just make sure you indicated the room number clearly. The lift required a room card to access hence the dispatcher will not be able to send the food to your room. Hotel staff is helpful, I requested them to collect the parcel on my behalf from the locker located at basement and they acting it very fast. Keeping them for me even though the check in date was a week later. Overall, it was still a very pleasant and comfortable stay at Pullma.

GGuest UserThe room itself was great, very spacious, and the front desk upgraded us to a lake view room. It had a balcony overlooking the lake, and the bathroom had two sinks, which was very convenient. A free crib was provided for our child. However, the dinner buffet service was, in my opinion, the absolute worst. It was a complete mess, very poorly organized, and significantly detracted from our overall stay. First, when we entered, the two customer service staff members assigning tables were completely disorganized. The restaurant tables weren't pre-assigned; they were making seat allocations on the fly. Before letting us in, the two staff members had to confirm with each other that our table wasn't reserved. After sitting for about 15 minutes, I stepped out to get something. When my family returned to our table, they were asked to move by a staff member who appeared to be a male manager (he wasn't wearing a suit, just a long-sleeved shirt). When I got back to the table, I heard this male staff member telling the front desk staff that a customer was scolding him. Little did I know, he was talking about our table. My family was very confused when I returned, as they were suddenly told to move, and those other guests were standing right by our table, watching us being forced out. Firstly, this felt incredibly bad. If the restaurant is seating guests, shouldn't they first check if someone is already sitting at that table? We had been at that table for over 15 minutes, and my family had already started eating. What does it mean for staff to bring guests and have them stand by our table? It made us feel as if we had taken their spot without permission, as if it was our fault. This experience was terrible. I never expected this kind of treatment at a five-star hotel. I thought I was in a 'cha chaan teng' (a Hong Kong-style diner) or McDonald's, with people waiting for tables. Secondly, this was a mistake by the management team, so why should we bear the consequences? I asked the male staff member why we had to move, and he said it was the front desk staff's fault and that he had already reprimanded them. I said the arrangement was terrible, and he mentioned that the other customers had booked previously. Well, we also booked our room and dinner package! If it was a team error, they should have handled it themselves and arranged for the other customers' reservation. Why were we forced to accommodate? Why couldn't they just seat the unseated customers at another table? There were five of us, including a one-year-old baby and seniors. Didn't they consider the inconvenience moving tables would cause us? I felt a significant double standard here. Thirdly, when we moved tables, only that manager-like male staff member helped us. Not a single other staff member came to assist. My mom was holding the baby and still had to carry her own bag to the new table. Only one staff member helped carry two plates. My sister had to carry her own plates with both hands. Since there were many dishes on the table, we had to move them ourselves. Midway, a male staff member in a short-sleeved shirt walked towards our table. I thought he was coming to help us move, but to my surprise, he was actually there to clean the table. Seeing that we hadn't finished moving, he turned and walked away. After a while, the original male staff member who asked us to move saw that we hadn't finished and finally came to help us move the remaining dishes. Honestly, the team cooperation in this restaurant felt very poor. I have never seen such terrible service in a five-star hotel. Finally, I want to point out that from the moment we were asked to move until we finished moving, no one came to apologize to us. The blame was on the incorrect table assignment. To be honest, we paid to go on vacation, booked a hotel room, breakfast, and dinner, and our family wanted to relax and enjoy ourselves. Little did we know, this one dinner ruined the entire stay. It was my first time being forced to move from a table at a five-star hotel with other guests standing around, and it was truly an unforgettable experience.🤣 Absolutely a bad review. Even days after checking out, I still can't forget this terrible experience, so I had to write a review!

GGuest UserA great hotel! It was fate that the Junlan Hotel, where I'd stayed before, didn't have single rooms available, so I ended up staying at this hotel much later. Aside from the slightly dated facilities, everything else was surprisingly good. Transportation, dining, and everything else are all very conveniently located here! The breakfast was also very filling! I highly recommend staying here again!
