Budget Motor Inn- Stony Point

My room was smoking room we booked by mistake. But according to our experience room that we booked is very dirty and smell doesnt go off. You need to pick room carefully. Receptionist was good.

Owner/staff are always pleasant and accommodating. Never stay anywhere else in Stony Point.

The room i stay in was dirty from walls to bed covers.ai took picture. The walss had blood stains.

The room had broken furniture, an ac unit that didnt work properly, and a thin useless blanket. Also there were people outside talking and yelling (on phones?) into the early morning hours. You get what you pay for...

The bathroom curtain was disgusting so dirty, the carpet dirty they need to work on making the rooms better and cleaner…

When on arrival no one was inside to check me in had to wait a half an hour the employee checking me in was rude questioning why I’m there the rooms were still dirty like other guests had just left and they didn’t clean up yet the room had empty soda bottles cigarette buds etc

For one, could not understand the man at the front. Which I don’t mind but the minute you walk in to the room, you’d wish you never booked the room. He told me I could not lock my room door from the inside cause then I couldn’t get Out. 2 out of the 6 drawers didn’t have a face. As soon as I turned on the A/C unit, it made the most horrible noise which I thought couldn’t be beat, until I turned on the fan in the bathroom ceiling.. omfg. Bed was springy, which I thought went out in the 80’s when foam came out. How wrong i was. I thought a $56 room rate would alleviate the pain of the stale stench the room had and the bed covers, but I will gladly pay $100 for my next room deal through ******* if I can atleast get a decent sound sleep experience…

It's affordable and not too far out of the way. Rockland Lake is beautiful to see on the way here

I have never had such a negative experience with a hotel. I checked in for 2 nights on a Friday, as I had planned to do a trail race in nearby Harriman State Park. Less than 30 minutes after check in I was informed that the race had been cancelled due to flooding, so I didn't need my room anymore. When I returned to the hotel, the manager did not want to hear about my situation, and told me that he was charging me for 2 nights, even though I didn't stay at all. I chose this hotel because of its location, but I would never stay here.
