The hotel is on an uphill slope and the climb is very strenuous, but the rooms and the hotel are super elegant, just like staying in a luxurious home. There is a piano, living room and reception room. The dinner in the restaurant tastes very good, and it is ranked as a 4-star restaurant in the local area! What a great stay!

Breakfast was always a feast but is now cooked in the dining room and takes forever.

People and service were friendly and caring. No hassles and any inconvenience quickly dealt with. The hill is a challenge if walking with luggage, but exercise after a train ride was welcomed.

I can not fault our stay at Hotel Penzance. We were warmly greeted at reception on check-in and personally taken to our room. Our room had superb sea views, and a very comfortable bed and bathroom. Breakfast was excellent, all fresh produce and excellent service. We will certainly be returning if we are in the area again.

I only stayed one night but it was obvious that the whole experience was set up on customer satisfaction. Very pleasant and would definitely stay there again .the only slight criticism was the water system was quite load but that could easily be rectified with a few simple tweaks.I would recommend it to friends.
