Phu Quoc Island Ganh Dau Hotels

First the food in room service is very bad quality and overpriced. I've got sick and we had to use it but i preferred stay hungry then. Not enoug sunbeds at the beach: you should go to the beach not later then 8 am to get a couch. Only one person speaks good english at reception and is really helpful and nice guy named Felix. Other staff gives you wrong information and their english is hardly understandable. During the morning time they shower the grass and it smells with a toilet septic. The breakfast is ok and location is perfect. The beach itself is probably the best at Phu Qu Ok

The Wyndham Grand hotel exceeded our expectations! We stayed 10 days. The rooms were spotless, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive. We loved the separate swimming pools for adults and children, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone. The buffet breakfast offered a wide variety of delicious options to start the day. The private beach was pristine and well-maintained, with plenty of activities to keep us entertained. Plus, the hotel is conveniently located near must-visit attractions like Grandworld, VinWonders and Vinpearl Safari. A perfect getaway spot—I highly recommend it!

The room is spacious but kind of dated. Bed is comfy. The shower water pressure is good. There are US/Uk power points at both bedsides. However, there is no master switch to turn off the lights. The most weird design is the aircon. You can’t set above 19 or else it will auto turn off. Sometimes u just turn off by itself. Maybe this is the reason why there is a ceiling fan in the room. The breakfast is located in another building connected to the main building. The restaurant layout is beautiful and their varieties are much more than La Festa. The only issue is there many flies and few mosquitoes and even 2 birds inside the restaurant. Managed to kill one 1 fly and 1 mosquito. For the free shuttle bus service to the airport, the bus driver forgotten to call us at the lobby and the bus simply left with our luggage. Thankfully, they quickly arrange a car to send us to the airport and we managed to collect our luggage. Location is very near Vinwonder and there are shuttle bus services provided. Nevertheless, the pool is pretty nice.

The service, the facilities, the buffet, everything was just great. There is a receptionist who I really want to mention and gratitude because he helped us a lot with so much patience and kindness. If I'm not mistaken, his name is Suka/Suca, but anyway, you can recognize him by his beautiful smile, and he has a small France badge, which means that he can speak French. Thank you for wonderful vacation, we will definitely come back and will recommend to our friends. Michael

The Staff at the reception were amazing. Very welcoming, big smiles and so helpful. Requests were fulfilled immediately and I had a few :D anyway I asked for a quiet room on the top floor. I got it. I asked to be able to enjoy breakfast two times (at the opening at 6 AM and before closing around 10 AM). That in order to better manage my diabetes type 2 condition. They made sure I could get that too. The staff at the restaurant was not so welcoming. Just doing their job. For a nice start of the day smiles and a friendly welcoming attitude would help... The food for breakfast was plentiful and good. Items were replenished until the closing time. The room was not very large but nice. The bed was comfortable. There was a safe and a fridge but nothing to do some ironing. The bathroom was very functional. The air conditioner was efficient and not too noisy. The TV was unusable for me but I usually do not watch TV anyway. The big swimming pool with the large children section has very few lounge chairs...which anyway get promptly ”reserved” (and then left ”empty” with clothes, etc... to make sure no one can use them). But it is probably safer to swim there than in the polluted sea a quick walk away as the locals (and unfortunately many guests too) seem to have no environment awareness. Phu Quoc is from that perspective a very poor example in Vietnam. The location of the hotel is good. The free VinBus stops in front and it is next to the ”fake” Venice. There are plenty of shops around as well as restaurants and other eateries. The sea and the beach are hardly a 10 minutes walk away. The area is quiet and not visibly as polluted as the town. The town and the airport are easily reachable with the convenient and free VinBuses in 45 to 60 minutes. I would not hesitate to come back to the Wyndham Garden should I return to Phu Quoc in the future.

My stay at Crowne Plaza Phu Quoc Starbay was fantastic. The hotel is beautifully designed, with spacious and modern rooms. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. The beach and pool area were serene, perfect for relaxing. The breakfast buffet was excellent, with a wide variety of fresh and delicious options. A great choice for a peaceful getaway!

As Vinpearl Nha Trang resorts, this place offers a great view and great service. Just a little bit far from every other place, but there are some free Vinbus to get around. We booked the room with free Vinwonders and Vinpearl Safari packages. Everything just go really smoothly as the staff are so professional. A little accident for our boy while in the Safari park, the staff there immediately offer us with the private ride to medical clinic right away. The theme park was amazing, you can spend all day there. Safari is awesome, we has seen many many animals, some of them we were able to get really close. The park even has the night trip for who want to explore the wild adventures. At night we enjoy the walk along Venice River, then relax with the spa, and watching the every night lighting show at Grand world Phu Quick, the sleepless city. Last but not least, the beachfront is incredible beautiful, water clean, white sand, garbage free and endless view, we really love the beach there....

The location is awesome. It was right in front of Grand World (Venice like destination) and not too far to Safari, Aquarium, and VinWnders (theme park) Standard facilities are well equipped and in good use. The swimming pool is great (big, clean with clear water). Moreover, there's a life guard nearby the pool. Buffet restaurant is great with lots of food choice to choose from. The staff managed the queue at morning buffet so well with the camera that can track face scan of the hotel customers. I wish there's cleaning staff walking on every floor once in a while to check whether there's trash/garbage along the hallway.

We arrived very late on the day. The children are very happy when enter the room until there is one room the air-con is broken and on top of that one of the bed have sand inside. The worst is day after the room service the other bed have sand and they only make bed don’t change the bedding for the room service. The some of the new towels smell of smoke, so becareful when using them. I think just my room I come across like 3. But I don’t know about other. Room service will take 1 hr which is quite standard. The water from the villa maybe is from a tank above the building, I constantly can smell and taste mud from the water, and hot water will run out it everyone use the shower at the same time. There is an accident that they sent us to wrong breakfast area, which is fine but they don’t immediately sent us back to the right one, and let us wait for another buggy. Hair conditioner is run out just after 3 nights (one 1 used it, which mean they didn’t check up and refill) Generally the hotel quality is around 3 stars. However their room services respond very fast. They fix the aircon overnight (even is quite noisy but I think they should make sure the room is okay before the guest arrival) They come in very quickly if you request towels/water. Just the quality is not 5 stars. If you don’t ask them they will not provide you. As for bedding I think they come with sand that why even the replacement still have sand.

In February 2025, I had a chance to travel to Phu Quoc. It was quite difficult to find travel reviews among Thais, but finally I found out that there was a free bus from the airport to Vinwonder. Take the green Vinbus, line 17,19 (17 runs every 15 minutes). The accommodation is very close to the water taxi and teddy bear. But at first, I didn't know. I got lost 🤣 Whoever booked this hotel, get off at Parking T2. I don't know if it's the owner or the staff, but they were very helpful. They helped carry the bags, so cute. When I was going to Vinwonders, I asked them where to get on the bus, but they dropped me off. When I asked the price, they told me to contact the accommodation, but in the end, they didn't charge me. I was really impressed, even though they told me to walk to the bus myself. When we checked out, they drove a motorbike with my luggage and my mother's, one each, to drop me off at the bus stop (that's when I found out that the bus stop was this close). I asked for a beautiful room view, so I chose a room with a view of the fireworks. The room was clean. There was no elevator. The room size might be a bit small. It was a bit difficult to walk, but it wasn't a problem. No breakfast but there are quite a few restaurants in the area. The price is very good because it is near Grand World. I want to go back because I did not see the aquarium in Vin Wonders. We went in on the first day we arrived and the plane landed at 3 pm, so we missed the mermaid show. In the evening, there are many shows. I can't choose. We took a water taxi and saw a teddy bear. It was very cute. We stayed for 1 night. The next day, we were going to Sun Town so we took the number 19 bus and then a grab as the hotel recommended. The service was really good. I will go back again when I have a chance. P.S.
